of course thank you so who is the latest what uh... is being said now from democratic leadership those in the house and senate about the president's ability to move on right so we had two separate meetings that happened yesterday both on closed doors one with house democrats the other with senate democrats and uh... the big fallout after the meeting with that number one you had the seventh uh... democrat in the house come out and said they think president biden should step aside for a new nominee to take over that was mike esherla moderate from new jersey then you saw later on michael bennett the senator from calorado go on to uh... uh... uh... uh... c_n_n_ and pretty much say that he doesn't think president biden can beat former president trump but he did stop short of saying that president biden step aside and that's what you're hearing from a number of different lawmakers on the democratic side who are you know expressing concerns they might think that president biden uh... will struggle or can't beat former president trump but a lot of them stop short of saying that he should step aside and it pretty much said that it is his decision to make obviously when uh... nato comes to the united states for its seventy-fifth anniversary and most of the questions from the press are for president biden and his ability uh... it certainly has the attention of the world as well it certainly does you know this is going to be a pivotal week for president biden when it comes to uh... this situation whether that he can be the nominee moving forward and i think the there's a number of reasons number one is gonna have a press conference tomorrow which is going to be a big deal obviously it's one of the first time he's had a press conference in a very long time and you know if he's doing it under pretty uh uh... extensive circumstances because of the pressure that on him right now but then also you know we're getting close to convention time and when the new johnson dropped out of the race when we were over a hundred days away from the dem convention president biden doesn't have that luxury of being a hundred days out so if he's going to make a decision on staying in the race or getting out of the race uh... he's got to do it soon all right so ryan let me take it one step further than if the decision is to get out of the race who is the lead candidate then as advice president harris i mean what are the democrats looking as far as plan b i mean it's one thing to ask him to maybe step aside but then who's going to replace him yeah i know that there hasn't been a lot of talk about who that would be you did he came up ohio congressman tim ryan come out and say that bp harris should be the nominee now of course he's not a member of congress anymore but he's been talking about this quite extensively and he's also pushed back on the narrative that some believe that vice president harris would be more of a liability on the campaign trail than president biden is right now uh you know it just seems like she makes the most sense right now just based off of who we've talked to and just the fact that we're so close to convention time it would be very hard to see somebody else stepping in but then also i think we're vice president harris is the obvious choice is that uh there's a lot of legal ramifications in terms of money that can be transferred over to president biden to vice president harris because she's already on the ticket whereas if they were to pick a different candidate it would be hard to do that ooh technicalities uh ryan schmeltz whipbox news radio in washington dc thank you of course thank you wood radio news time is now 7 11 that means traffic and whether let's get back to kevin richards [BLANK_AUDIO]
