Welcome to West Michigan's morning news. Steve Kelly and Brad Paquita and Lauren Smith. And I see Adam Rocho. And it is top five times shmitty. Where do we start? This kind of thing always creeps me out. The remains of an American climber missing for 22 years have been found on a mountain in Peru. Police in Peru said they found U.S. Mount near William Stample's mummified body perfectly preserved. Near a camp on Mount Pasquaran, I hope I'm saying that right, which is one of the highest peaks in the Andes. He was attempting to climb back in 2002. He was buried under an avalanche and his still frozen body was just found. Yeah, he said perfectly preserved. He even still had his California driver's license with him. So his remains are being shipped home to family. At least you know who he is. Have you ever seen like pictures from Mount Everest when people are ascending and they pass? Because you just got to keep them there. Yeah. If someone passes. Yeah. Thank you, ghosts. I never thought about ghosts. Oh, are you kidding me? So many ghosts. Oh, I would read that book. Number four, reveler enjoying Fourth of July celebrations in Rhode Island ended up jumping into the Providence River to rescue a struggling rabbit. So in your 26 years, have you ever seen somebody jump into the Providence River for a bunny? No, this is a first. Emily Swift, who was visiting from New York attended that Fourth of July celebration and saw the thing on camera. That's when she jumped in the, they say, filthy river, though it's better now than it used to be see Cleveland on fire. Apparently they threw a life ring out. The lady and the rabbit are all okay. At number three, WWE wrestling fans. Is that you, Ocho? I've never got into it. Okay, I'm just checking. But you're going to be excited with this announcement because they're crossing over with sports mainstream and the wrestling fans. College football unboxing broadcaster from ESPN, Joe Tessator has signed a deal to provide play by play for the WWE beginning this summer. Now, they think he's going to be paired with Corey Graves and Wade Barrett, who they need a play by play voice on there for a Smackdown on Friday nights. Pat McAfee, who obviously has made a name for himself now with ESPN, he commentates Ron Monday nights with Michael Cole. So again, they believe that's what the lineup is going to be. But Joe Tessator at one time was the Monday night football voice for ABC and ESPN. But again, still doing college football does Holy Moly, that series on ABC. Oh, yeah. So Joe Tessator at age 53, the new and he's excited because he's a wrestling fan, one of the new voices for WWE. They're just going to start that live Netflix stuff, right? Don't they have a big, big partnership? Yeah, a lot of money people. There's a lot of money. I would be like, Joe, it's not me. Yeah, I know, I know, I know. Don't say I know. At number two, Columbus police, our call to a pet store that had been broken into. When they arrived, the perpetrator had set a bunch of the animals free. Police had recovered two dogs, multiple birds, a hamster, and at least two bunnies who escaped into the parking lot, the suspect Michael Pancake was found sleeping at a big lot's 100 feet away with four hamsters in his possession. That's great. I was alcohol effect, or any other substance. I mean, if you get a better last name than pancake, Michael Pancake can't be real mates. What it says, pancake was taken to a hospital treated for injuries and then arrested. Well, at least he wasn't an eye-hop parking lot. That's too good. Too good. Sorry, a little too much. Finally at number one on our list today, firefighters in Colorado shared security camera footage where a curious dog in a home, if you can hear the dog, if you look at the video, this family left paper towel on the stove and the dog jumps up accidentally lights the paper towel on fire and then it takes 30 seconds for this thing to become fully engulfed. There go the fire alarms and yeah, I was recording this earlier and four people came running into the studio to see what the problem was and then wondering what we'll get for the place if our insurance pays off. Oh, I think you'd be devastated to know the amount. I grabbed all the coffee I couldn't. I was recording the audio. Apparently everybody got out okay, but just so you know, even stuff on your stove, if you've got a dog that's so mad he wants to light the place on fire. That's it. Today's top five.
