This is the trending now report on wood radio. Well, Hurricane Beryl now makes landfall in Texas. Fox weather meteorologist Brita Merwin has the latest. This from Surfside Beach. Storm surge is, of course, a problem. That's why the mandatory evacuation has been called is because this is a barrier island. It naturally is supposed to take on water during hurricanes. All the homes are elevated here in Surfside Beach. This is a coastline that is prone to storm surge. What about things like gas prices as we talk about refineries in that area more as we continue this morning? President Biden back on the campaign trail yesterday, speaking to voters in Pennsylvania. This election is going to be about block entaclement. Simple basic politics. Simple. It's going to be a matter of how many signs we get out, how many doors we knock on, how many calls we make, and how many requests we answer. This comes as pressure grows for the president to drop out of the presidential race following his board, poor debate performance. The House oversight and accountability chairman, James Comer, calls on the president's position to appear before the committee for an interview following those concerns. Here's Representative Burgess Owens. This is the first time I think we've had this position where mentally declining president has been hidden from the American people. So allows us now to ask that question. How can we make sure that this never happens again? Also trending this morning, unbelievable moment in Utah. Several spectators hospitalized after straight fireworks launched into the crowd. This is in Provo, Utah, the stadium of fire July 4th show. Multiple people transported to the hospital. After fireworks were blasted off for a military flyover with some rockets going right into the audience. Witnesses claim at least five mortars shot directly into the crowd, one witness reporting seeing a person get directly hit in the face by a sidetracked blast. The video is unbelievable. The condition of those injured is not known at this time, but the show did stop in order to transport victims. - You mean they took a break? They didn't just call the thing off? - Yeah, they took a break. Maybe they do it different in the Southwest. - Golly, by the way, conversely a huge success downtown Grand Rapids. Over the weekend, Saturday night. I don't know if you saw anybody social media. - Beautiful pictures. - People that live in and around downtown. What a vantage point. - Oh, unbelievable. And by the way, speaking of unbelievable, we don't do a lot of soccer unless it's World Cup, women's or men's, it's not a World Cup year, but two unbelievable tournaments going on right now. Copa America 2024 and Euro 2024. And I know Smitty and Chris are big fans. We've been watching it unbelievable game. So Spain knocks out Germany over the weekend, who is hosting the Euro 2024. So that you can go over very well. But you have Spain and France left in the final four, three o'clock tomorrow on Fox 17. You can watch that because the time difference. Then on Wednesday, the Netherlands will take on England, who survived Switzerland in penalty kicks. Three o'clock, Fox 17 will have it on Wednesday. And then in the Copa America, what's nice is, they're nighttime because they're here. So you've got Columbia and Uruguay. That'll be Wednesday night, eight o'clock on FS1, but Tuesday night from New Jersey. Messy and Argentina advanced to take on who else? Canada tomorrow night, eight o'clock on FS1. So they play more than hockey north of the border. I didn't know Canada played soccer. I know, it's unbelievable. But down to the final four for both.
