Meditate to Elevate Day 8 - The Lord supplies all my needs
Phil 4:19 KJV: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Meeting the basic needs of every human being is God's prerogative as Creator. If in doubt, notice He causes His sun to shine on the wicked and on the righteous. For you as a child of God, you should know, believe and expect God to meet all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. If you are in any need, today's meditation will help you to see the awesomeness of God and allow faith to rise up in you to believe God for more.
The first word to focus on is "supply" and it has meaning like "to cause to abound, to furnish or supply liberally" or "to render full, i.e. to complete" or "to fill to the top: so that nothing shall be wanting to full measure, fill to the brim". What pictures come to mind as you ponder the meaning of the word "supply"? Should it not be that of abundance, and that which goes beyond basic needs? Allow that image to settle in your heart.
Now, let's look at the phrase "according to His riches" in that text. It means "in proportion to God's riches or fullness" or "to the extent or limit of God's wealth". Phil 4:19 can be rephrased thus: "But my God shall liberally furnish to full measure all your need so that nothing shall be wanting in your life. He will do this to the extent or limit of God's wealth that is in Christ Jesus"
Wow - if you have ANY need in your life right now, you can meditate on this verse to cause you to appropriate this promise in your own life. Are you ready?
Let's meditate to elevate
Step into the theatre of your life and imagine that you are standing infront of a large vault. In your hands, you are holding a box representing your needs. Presently, you hear a voice from inside the vault beckoning you to step in. You stepped in. Right in front of you is an engineering assembly line with endless arrays of angels working on prototypes and shipping products out of that vault constantly. Every area in the vault is labelled representing needs that can be supplied for. You noticed that dotted around the vault are "check in pods" and at each pod, you can type in your needs and you will receive instructions on how to locate where your supply can be found.
You type in your needs on the pod closest to you and you were directed to the aisle where the supply can be found. You walk briskly to the aisle and to you surprise, there are differnt flavours, sizes and quantities of the supply in that aisle. It is endless supply for what you need. Immediately, you started to feel a sense of relief because, there is no lack here. You simply can have whatever you need met.
Notice, how you feel now knowing that there is more than enough to meet your need? You relish that feeling.
Now, mutter these words under your breath:
God's store house can never be depleted. There is no lack in God but abundance. The Lord supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Halleluyah"
Action: What action must you take if you know that ALL you needs are already supplied for in proportion to the unlimited wealth of God? How would you approach your needs if you know there is no lack in God?
