Meditate to Elevate Day 7: In my pathway there is only life

Meditate to Elevate Day 7: In my pathway there is only life

Proverbs 12:28 KJV: In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

If you are righteous, this text says that only life and that which promotes life is allowed in your life. But what is righteousness? It is a condition acceptable to God and it means "as it should be", so when God declared us righteous in Christ, He is in fact saying that "we are now as we should be" snd if we are as we should be in His eyes, it means only that which promotes life is allowed in our lives.

The root meaning of the word "life" in that text signifies that which revives, renews and is alive and fresh. A picture that depicts this is green vegetation, fresh water or springtime. To allow this text to speak to your heart, you can focus on the emotions evoked in you when you meditate on the following images: green vegetation, fresh water and springtime.

Let's meditate to elevate:

Step into the theatre of your life and step into the screen to experience a beautiful spring morning just after a torrential rain has ceased. Notice the freshness of the air as you take a deep breath. Can you hear the birds chirp? Can you see the clear blue sky and the sun shinning through the clouds? Did you notice how the flowers opened up as you walked past? Notice your smile and how beautiful everything looks - full of life! Cherish this feeling all day as you play back this scene over in your mind.

Mutter these words under your breath:

"I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and in my path, only that which promotes life is allowed"

As you say these words repeatedly, allow the experiences of the spring morning continue to play in your heart.

Action: If only life is allowed by God in your life, how would this truth help you when you want to travel or go to work? How can this truth be applied to your loved ones? When you face a "dead situation", how might you use this meditation to overcome it?
