#10 - Our old life is already put to death

How many times have you heard the words "I am a sinner saved by grace"? Wrong statement. You were a sinner saved by grace. In God's eyes, your old life no longer exist. Gal 5:24 says those who belong to Christ have already experienced (past tense) crucifixion. How? In the reckoning of God, He sees the old Adamic nature of every believer as crucified with Jesus. When? Over 2000 years ago when Jesus died on that cross. Outcome? Every believer now has the nature of God and not the nature of Sin inherited from Adam. Believers do not have DUAL nature.

We may sometimes still give in to our desire to sin, but Christians are no longer people controlled by sin. Sin may compel us but we are NO LONGER sinners.

If you believe that the sin nature is still in you then you won’t have the victory over sins and temptation but imagine if you truly believe that you have a new nature, that belief, that realisation will empower you to overcome sin (Gal 5:16,25) and produce fruits of the Spirit. Right believing truly leads to right acting
