News. Sports. Weather from Dr. Bill Williams. Traffic info from Kane. And one of the Gulf Coast's most familiar voices. It's mobile mornings with Dan Brennan and Dalton R. Wig. Morning to day and Dalton, if I'm talking one over six, five. Mobile morning, let's turn it up your voice this hour. 251340106. That's also of course our text line. Tony Kinin really went off with the doin. Not at Jeff, but he was talking about gambling and gambling legislation. And he's talking about protecting Baldwin County and keeping them out of the casino business. And he may be, you know, maybe clearer. He stands. He really did. We might get to that story here coming up. You can find it in 18, 19 news. And of course, Jeff, it's follows us beginning at nine o'clock. Also the the top 25 tourist destinations in the world. There's a couple from the US in there and not the ones that would have guessed at all. Okay. So we'll get to some of that. Also, I believe there's a debate tonight. There is. Yes. They're supposed to be anyway. Eight o'clock tonight in Atlanta, Georgia, the CNN headquarters have. And remember, they've kept the debate commission out of this one. We're and one of the earliest, if not the earliest presidential debate. And it's either the first time or the first time in a long time, you have an incumbent debating a former president. I thought this was going to be in a studio and everything was going to be tight, not a lot of interference from audience and all that kind of stuff. But it looks like it's going to be in a arena. Maybe in an arena, but there's not supposed to be an audience. That's what was agreed to there. I'm not sure. Yeah, I'm not sure what kind of digs they'll be in. But you know, CNN, of course, they've been promoting the heck out of this and I've seen some clips online yesterday. They were displaying their brand new technology, muting the microphones, acting like it's some new wave of tech. But they're they're mind blowing, mind blowing. But this is how you do it. Just talk, Don, go ahead. Okay. Well, anyway, what I was saying about. Yeah, that's exactly how there's, there's done the mind blowing technology. CNN is going to introduce tonight. Right. And they'll have like, uh, lights like an on air light. So when your microphone is on, it'll be green. And your microphone is off. It won't be green. And it washed a good three minute video yesterday with the explain audience. I don't understand. I saw the pre I saw them preparing for it, uh, at the Phillips arena, whatever the arena with the Hawks players. Okay. I don't know. I, I, I thought there was going to be no audience participation and no audience in the, uh, at the debate sector. It'll be a little weird if they're in there with no audience. That's why we do the arena by now. But that's what they've been saying. No audience. And so, uh, believe Trump, they, they flipped a coin. Trump will get the final word of the debate, uh, which is supposed to be around 90 minutes long, eight o'clock start. I mean, I don't know if they put the, uh, NC double A in charge of the start time tonight, but, uh, awfully late, but if it's supposed to be 90 minutes, you presume they actually get started, you know, sometime around 8, 0, 5, 8, 10. So you're looking at probably getting done with this thing before 10 o'clock tonight. Uh, we've got some, we'll go over some of the betting lines on the debate. Some of those kind of interesting, but I did ask earlier whether you would be, uh, watching the debate. And, uh, early on this morning seemed like most people that were texting in said they would. Uh, Cindy said she would watch the debate. We'll turn it off when the talking heads start discussing it afterwards. And, uh, Daniel said he's never seen a debate, but he's looking forward to this one. Like the Super Bowl, a trace text that he said they need to air the debate on comedy central. Actually, I bet comedy central wouldn't mind that. It would probably help their, uh, numbers. Lisa says as long as CNN has anything to do with the debates, I will not subject myself or my family to Clinton and Obama's puppet show. And while I don't, you know, the two moderators here are going to be Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. And I think a fitting last name for Dana Bash when it comes to Donald Trump, because that's what she's done for years. And so is Jake Tapper. And will they, are they trying to put themselves in a new light? Hey, we're CNN. We're not anti-republic and we're not anti-Trump. We're going to try to be as objective as possible. Remember they tried that with the, uh, Caitlyn Collins sit down interview town hall with Trump and, uh, she was very, you'll have one of those two with her. He, I think it may be a, it went wrong. I thought maybe Tuberville was a guest on her show. Okay. This was like a special town hall. They had everyone watching to see Trump on CNN. And remember how combative Collins was, was with him that night. And then afterwards you had Anderson Cooper and Jake Tapper basically crying. You know, I think Anderson Cooper like had tears in his eyes. In 16. And I think this was this just a few months ago, right? Or maybe I'm kind of tying in together a bunch of different CNN Trump moments, but, uh, I have trouble believing that Tapper and bash will be objective. Let Trump get out all his thoughts and not push back, uh, or at the very least push back equally against both when they, uh, start to get a little grandiose with their claims. Yeah. You know what? You're right about it. Here's where you're right about that. When we cover this tomorrow morning, when we talk about the debate that we saw the night before in tonight, we'll have to sadly, uh, cover the way CNN produced the debate. If they interfered in any way, they may not. They may. I don't know. Uh, but we'll, we'll talk about the odds later. I'd say they are favored to not be very objective tonight and should Trump have taken them up on this offer, right? Uh, their base, he's playing, uh, in a way game, to say the least and kind of going by the Biden rules. Now, additionally, I thought that they were going to have to sit during the debate, but, uh, that's not the case. They will be standing at podiums. There will be two commercial breaks and, uh, they can get their water or whatever they need in the middle there. But how do you think, uh, this will affect the race tonight? Let us know on the text line. Does it have any major effect depending on how either candidate performs? There's only one more debate scheduled and that is for, uh, mid to early September, you'll get another debate. Uh, the real Sam texted in, he said, I think tonight's debate will be basically fake. They're not going to ask any question that favors Trump and the second that Trump says anything they don't like, they'll just turn off his mic. It'll be BS in my opinion. Saw an interesting take, um, that actually the muting of the mics could be beneficial to Trump. I saw someone discussing that yesterday that it, uh, when they talk over each other and I was watching some of the clips from, uh, previous debates and, uh, really in 2020, when they would start talking over each other, I think it frustrated everyone. It did because it was impossible to hear anyone's point. It did. There was one of the debates where everybody kind of walked away just thinking like that was just a disgrace. We didn't get anything out of it. Uh, might have been the second of three, but if it calms Trump down a little bit, um, which might not, this might not be a great thing to calm Trump down. Uh, we've talked about what kind of, you know, uh, strategy he needs to go into this with. And I think a lot of people agree that when he is, uh, staying kind of calm and on point and trying to just lay out how his presidency went and what this next presidency may look like, uh, that's kind of all he needs to do considering how bad the economy has gotten over the last three years. Uh, don't even get me started on everything that's gone on internationally since Biden took office. I mean, we're talking about coup after coup and war after war and they keep happening. They keep happening. They keep happening. I got up to the minute. All right. And so, uh, this might, with the mic situation, of course, they could use it against Trump in major ways, but, uh, it might actually be beneficial to him in the long run that, uh, all right, this is your moment to talk, no Biden talk back and, uh, say what you need to say. Uh, also we're still waiting on, uh, several Supreme Court decisions, but two very critical, uh, decisions that involve Trump and a lot of Trump supporters. Of course, you have the presidential immunity decision that everyone's waiting on. This is supposed to be the last week of the Supreme Court's term before summer break and, um, watching some Supreme Court experts. They said they could extend this term into next week, but that it's unlikely. Uh, so they've set up decision days for today. And I believe also tomorrow and it'll be nine a.m. What happens? And that decision could go either way or it could be more limited in scope, but what if Trump is basically absolved of at least two of these remaining, um, charges, uh, you know, cases that he's facing? What if he's absolved of that before the debate? What if it goes the opposite way? And you know, for a fact that Trump will be, uh, possibly in court before the November election, uh, regarding the, uh, Jack Smith case in DC and the Eileen Cannon case in Florida, you know, uh, there are so many different factors that could play into this. And then we spend all this time talking about it. We're going to watch tonight. Millions of Americans are going to watch tonight. But what effect will it really have on November? That's a good question. And I certainly don't have the answer to that in terms of Trump's temperament tonight. Remember I was telling you, you know, just remember, I just reminded myself for remembering episodes of, uh, the apprentice where Trump made appearances weekly, right? Anyway, that's made decisions about, uh, who's in, who's out that kind of thing. And that's the way it worked. That was one, one against the other was basically one on one. You know, I think, I think that might have been what it was. It wasn't. I didn't really watch the apprentice. So I did watch it. It was kind of like homework for when I did country music, uh, radio because country stars would occasionally be on the show. Right. So you would watch Trump. You would watch and make the decisions in the boardroom. And in my opinion, uh, that's the Trump that would play best because his, his base already knows when it gets worked up. They know what it's all about. They've seen it. They like it. Some like it. Some don't. Uh, he, he don't have to win the base. Just like with those rallies that I've talked about again, this is my opinion back in 2020 when he finally calmed down in one of those, uh, debates might have been the last one, but at the same time, almost a day away, he was doing a rally where all these people had gathered who were going to vote for him anyway. He didn't need to win them over. And he was being as bombastic as he could be. So I think of himself, you know, he helped himself during the debate with people who were in the middle or considering or whatever independent. And then if they watched that rally the next night, you know, in front of a lot of, where it was almost stand up comedy about sleepy Joe, right, uh, to me and tell me on the text line, if I'm right or wrong with what you think, to me, that is, that's not the way to go that the Trump wants to. Do you want to be, do you want to win the election or not? Maybe something's going to be, maybe, maybe he's running me. It's going to be a, a, a real, uh, factor, but I think more than ever it's going to do with Trump and his temperament and the way he presents himself. Yeah. And then what is Biden going to look like up there? There you go. Talk about pressure. Uh, you have David Axelrod and who else was it? I think it was, uh, you had Axelrod and David Plough, uh, both of course, uh, heavily involved in the Obama White House and they're saying if Biden screws this up in a big way tonight, they will, the Democrats will be looking to move on. If it's bad enough, that's kind of what the, what their vibe is here. Uh, so I think more pressure actually tonight on Biden than on Trump, but I think you're right. But does he even know is the question that I don't know, but I think you're right. It's Biden's performance that Trump, you know what you're going to get? I would say that his advisors, if your advisors can affect him at all because I don't know if they can, that I would say to advise him to keep it, uh, keep, you know, just not feel like he's got to be hyperbolic at every, with every answer and every question. Let's go to some text really quickly before we go to the break and saw a fireball on the line fireball. I want you to hop back on if you aren't still on the line. Chris says, no, I won't watch it. I'll wait for y'all to tell me about it tomorrow. I get way, I get up way too early to stay up that late. Well, Chris, do you know what time my alarm went off this morning? It was around three. Yeah. So you, you're preaching to the choir as far as all this. As far as Dan, you know, I'm a bit of a late sleeper. Yeah, but you just, you stay later. You stay up later. Uh, this texture, it's funny because a Caitlyn Collins went to Alabama. You would think she would be more considerate of Trump texture here. I'll see Jason says, how soon will they ask Trump about the 2020 election? And if it was stolen, I think it's the first question. Mr. Plot, what's the overunder? Yeah. What did he say? I mean, I'm just going to read this. It's eight 20. What's the overunder on Biden filling his socks up on the debate stage? Yep. I don't know. I don't think they've even put that up on the, uh, on the betting line. That's one of the few things that we can, that we actually cannot bet on. Randy says, betcha and nickel, they'll make Biden take a good long nap today. I saw that, you know, he's been in camp David for a week. Haven't heard from the president in a week. He's been holed up with like 16 advisors who were prepping him for this debate. What was the joke that Trump's going around nursing homes, finding people who are out of their mind debating that was a Babylon B thing to prepare for the debate. Trump is going to nursing homes and, uh, debating, uh, elderly citizens there during the singalongs. But yeah, Randy says, betcha they'll make Biden take a good long nap today. You know, kind of like a UFC fighter or a boxer when they're getting ready for their, uh, main event, which a lot of times is 11 p.m. They offer a midnight if they're on the east coast and they alter their sleep schedule. It's probably kind of what's been going on with Biden. They've been, uh, making sure he goes to bed very late and wakes up a little bit later so that for an eight p.m. start time, or I guess it'd be 9 p.m. in Atlanta. He'll be awake and alert. And then who else? Who knows what else is going on as they try to get him ready for tonight. I don't think anyone has seen or heard from Joe Biden since the weekend, since before the weekend, seriously, in public. And there's been a lot going on, too. It has been like going on with it. And I don't think we've heard from Corinne Jean-Pierre either, from the podium. A lot of text to get to. All right. I think we got someone on the line, too. We'll get back to you here. 251-343-0106. Your thoughts on the debate? Let us know there. And we'll go over some of these betting odds as well. And Mayor Tony Kennan and what he had to say yesterday about gambling in the state will get to all that right here on Mobile Morning's. This doesn't seem too crazy. Whose first answer of the debate during the debate will be longer. That's one of the bets Trump provided. I think there's some wackier bets out there. Yeah, there are. The debate winner as per polls, and this has to be a CNN, a line poll, by the way, these are lines coming from betonline.ag, which is highly illegal in Alabama. So don't even think about going to that website. The debate winner as per polls, they actually have Trump favored on that. First to mispronounce a politician's name, Joe Biden, the heavy favorite compared to Donald Trump. I wonder if they'll consider any nicknames as a mispronunciation of a name, because in that case, you have to make Trump a pretty good bet, which will be mentioned more in tonight's debate, democracy, or the border. And the border is about favored as heavily as Georgia playing. T. C. U. T. C. U. a heavy favorite there that the border will be mentioned much more for which former president will be mentioned more in tonight's debate. Barack Obama is the favorite at minus 140. That's well behind him. Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan. Now, I guess they don't include the two presidents. It'll be on the stage tonight. Barack Obama, the favorite, Ronald Reagan, second best odds FDR, third best odds, and JFK, fourth best odds. What's the first slogan that will be said, MAGA Republicans, which you can expect to come out of Biden's mouth or save America, which you could expect come out of Trump's mouth. Of these two, which will be first said, they hate our country or Black Lives Matter. Do you even think Black Lives Matter will be mentioned tonight? And it's been a while since we've heard any politician talk about that, total times that the term dictator is mentioned over under of seven and a half is what they've set for that. Really? Total times that Putin will be mentioned over and under six and a half. And they said, well, the candidate or moderator say Taylor Swift. See, I don't know why that one's on there, but they they say yes at two to one odd. So kind of some interesting things there. Who's the first candidate to condemn Israel? Joe Biden, a very heavy favorite at that one. First candidate to drink from the water bottle. Biden, a favorite there. Anyway, the list goes on and on. I like this one. Who's the first that will say shut up to the other candidate? Biden. I can see Biden's favorite there. Yeah, just shut up, man. I think you said it in one of the last you made it. Yeah, yeah, I think you're right. So we'll play along with some of that tonight. Yeah, together. Think about this. Just personally, these two guys have not been in a setting together for four years. They don't like each other for a long, they build up. Well, there's a lot more. There's a lot more reason that they don't like each other than even four years ago. Yeah, I mean, I mean, one is trying to put the other in prison. Yeah, the hits just kept on coming. So the animosity between the two might be something that you can really, really detect. Oh, yeah, it'll be interesting and see what the polling has to say after tonight. I'll be watching if you don't watch, and it looks like a lot of you will not be. You know, that eight people said everyone's going to watch, but we'll have the full recap for you tomorrow morning and a lot of text to get to. We'll try to get to those here in the next few segments. Two, five, one, three, four, three, zero, one, zero, six. Mobile warnings on the way. Dan and Dalton, they've been talking about six, five mobile warnings. Good morning to you. And Tony Kenan, Mayor Orange Beach, clearly not a fan of casino gambling. He discussed with Jeff Pors. Yesterday with Jeff Porshow, and it's in 18, 19 news right now. If you want to check it out, we'll talk a little bit about that when we get to time. Speaking of the time, again, 835 showers over the bay, maybe on the bayway showers here and there, but right now kind of dry at I-65 in airport, but probably not for long. Larry and Atmore on the text line, which you can join two, five, one, three, four, three, zero, one, zero, six. He says it'll be simulcast on Fox News, so no need to pain yourself on CNN. And yeah, someone earlier this week was asking about other options to watch the debate. If you don't have cable or one of the streaming packages that includes all this, I know USA Today, I know, don't everyone moan all at once. USA Today will have the debate up on their YouTube page. And I think it's going to be hard to kind of escape all of this. But Larry also says, we will find out after the election that CNN gave Biden the questions, which is why he's taking so long to try to memorize them with the answers. Everyone kind of, not everyone, I shouldn't say. But when Donna Brazil gave Hillary Clinton the debate questions, she was debating Bernie Sanders. And then now she's just, does she still work for CNN? I'm not sure. Or did she come to Fox for a time? Oh, wow. She may have been on Fox for a, I can't remember, you know, I don't make it my job to keep up with these people. She was at Fox. She didn't have a premium parking place. I can tell you that. I don't think Don Brazil ever spent any time in Fox. Well, they like to put a liberal on the phone. Yeah. I think it was worth, you don't think so. I can't remember. Martin says, I'd like to see Trump behave himself as if he's being sympathetic to old Joe. Yeah, I've been saying, I think that's probably his best line, right? Yeah, I think so, man. Like this is elderly abuse, even though their age isn't much of a separation. But anyone who, and the Democrats try to push this on social media, you know, does Trump slip up every now and then? Yeah. Does he say ridiculous things? Yeah. But to compare the mental state of the two, when we watch both of them all the time, it's so disingenuous. Well, and again, we have not watched Joe Biden in about a week because he just has not been available. Yeah. And if we've seen more of Trump over the last year than we've seen of Biden, probably. Yeah. And I thought it was curious too, when Quinn was talking about that, he kind of drew the line right down the middle, like, which one might slip up age wise? And I didn't quite understand. Well, of course, Quinn, obviously not a Trump fan. But it didn't seem like a genuine statement when you're saying which one is going to be more likely to have a problem because you can say that some news outlets are piling on Biden and what was Korean jump here was going to get cheap fakes. Cheap fakes. And you know, as opposed to deep fakes, but making it worse, you could do that like with a super run of mistakes, you know, your time, super cut. Yeah, super cut. Okay, you can do that for sure. But the mistakes still have to happen in the first place when the slip up needs to happen in the first place before you can even create something. It'll be tough to say if he if he screws up tonight on live TV CNN to deny it. It'll be tough to say. Oh, that was a deep fake. Let's see. Martin also said, I would imagine the whole debate is slanted to help old Joe texture here. If you voted liberal last election, you're voting Biden. If you voted Trump, you're voting Trump. If you didn't vote last election, you're voting Trump goes back to the economy. I'm not sure there are a lot of people who just despise Trump, you know, Republic or quote unquote Republicans, right? And Adam Kinzinger, officially endorsing Biden this week. Really? And so remember, one of the very few quote unquote Republicans that were on the January 6 commission along with was Cheney and Nancy Mase. Mase has worked her way back into the good graces of the Trump camp. But Kinzinger, I think everyone knew especially when he joined CNN, his family disowned him. That's right. There were cousins that would not would not admit that Kinzinger was related. Right. Textor here says, hopefully Trump will be presidential like tonight. EPG asks, who pays for CNN? Well, anyone with, you know, cable, anyone who has a package from one of the cable companies or YouTube TV or they package all of these news channels together. So a lot of people have CNN. Textor here. James says, I bet $500 Biden is wearing a diaper. Ricky with an on topic text. Okay. Thank you, Ricky. Biden got some cocaine from his son. He'll be ready. I heard it was the good stuff. Damnakey says odds on whether Biden can go 90 minutes without a p break. Is it starting to fill? Do you like the text science piling on Biden a little bit here? Yeah. You know, they're not trying to. They're all doing it independently. There's going to be two commercial breaks. By the way, it would be funny if one of the candidates doesn't make it back in time for the start of the next segment of the debate. Larry says, has anyone at FM talk put together a bingo card yet? Like how many times Biden will stutter? How many times Trump will say you better believe it? How many times Biden will ramble about something that never happened? We're working on it. I have something up there drinking game. There are a lot of those out there. But it is a week now. So, you know, I won't be participating in that. But yeah, maybe a delay. You just write down how many shots or drinks you're supposed to take and wait until tomorrow night to pay your bill. So to speak, text your ear, do they have a category? Will Trump get to say someone please help him up? Donna Brazil was a Fox News contributor for years. Yeah. Thank Jeff poor chime in on the text line. So he's listening. That's what I thought. I remembered seeing her on the five. Okay. Okay. Okay. Wow. That does not that does not compute. Yeah, texture here. I like when Uncle Joe whispers that everyone is Hunter, a liability. That was one of the odds posted by bed online dot a G which of the presidential children will be first mentioned. How about in the heavy favorite? Heavy. Bow Biden second favorite, which would likely be by President Biden talking about that. Baron Trump the next and then beyond that, you have Ivanka Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, which if Joe Biden brings up Mar-a-Lago or the Trump business, you could see where some of those would come in. But yeah, I think Hunter Biden probably the pretty heavy favorite on that. And is he a liability? You know, if if Biden brings up Trump being a convicted felon, Trump will say you've got a son that broke gun laws. So you could see how that could happen pretty quickly. A texture here Biden will do fine tonight. He's been telling the lies for so long. It's second nature. And last texture here, it's a damn shame so far. Last texture here. It's a damn shame. Kennedy was not allowed to debate. Yeah. And Kennedy is saying this is collusion. He said they got rid of the debate commission who normally puts these together in order to keep him off the state. Wow. And also, RF cake said that he thinks Trump is the best debater in modern history. So he kind of levied some praise on Trump there. But he's here's the thing. He's the best debater you could say, whatever. Okay, that's fine. You have so many people who have been given so much information about Trump at such an angle. So, so he's it's if you watch certain networks and that's you believe a reward, then you're already, you know, your your opinion of Trump is so toxic. There's no way you watch the view sometimes. Donald Trump comes up. His name comes up. They almost throw up on each other. Yeah. I mean, Trump, yeah, is he objectionable in some ways? Yeah, he is. But what's he was he right about was did the did the companies shut down any conversation about Hunter Biden right before the election? All kinds of things that you can look at. And if you if you choose to just look at it all the way it's delivered by a CBS or a CNN, you're completely anti Trump in every way. And so if there's no there's no getting around or no no way that you change the minds of those voters, right? They're already completely polluted with with one angle on Trump. I mean, we can talk about the prosecution of Trump here in the last year. That's all there. But just four years ago, just look at what happened and and eight years ago when he became president, how quickly was the left and the Democrats on top and trying to get them out? Yeah, immediately. Two things Trump has to bring up tonight and maybe one more than the other. He has to bring up the laptop, but more than the laptop, the 51 former and former intelligence officials, many of whom had contracts still with the CIA, saying that that laptop was Russian disinformation. Right. That was election interference. That letter that letter was rushed out before the election. And and, you know, when when when on just to be fair, when is the New York Times or CBS or whoever going to, you know, take 30 minutes or a long article out of their time to say, you know what? Here's what we were really wrong. And we, you know, you don't have to say you're sorry, but here's where we were wrong. Not gonna happen. Not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. He also needs to bring up, you know, everyone has an opinion on the vaccines, of course. And most of our audience, anti, right? A lot of our audience, at least the way it was rolled out and the way it was forced upon so many people, he has to bring up that when it was the Trump vaccine that you had Kamala Harris, you had all of these Democrats saying, I'm not taking that. No way they can make something this fast and it be safe. This is all a con job by Don the con. I'm not taking that vaccine. He loses the election, Pfizer waits until after the election to roll out the vaccine. And then all of a sudden, December, you better be taking that vaccine coming from those same people. Trump has to hammer that as well. Or, you know, maybe he's just going to try to avoid that whole era in itself. This text or how much better would the debate be if the Trump team? Yes. How much better would the debate be if the Trump team was responsible for bringing the women and the Biden team was responsible for bringing the drugs? Yeah, that would be a CNN party, I would say if they did that. Joel and Summerdale, they don't need to cry and whine about inflation or gas prices. Or, I don't understand that part. If you don't want that for the next four years, talking about Biden, vote Trump, if not, they need to shut up, quit worrying about the economy. Okay. Thanks, Joel. Good stuff there. Martin says, I love the remark about the coke and the diaper and the p-break. Okay. And so keep those techs coming two, five, one, three, four, three, zero, one, zero, six. And by the way, as we kind of wrap up our Trump Biden part of this hour, Nate Silver with five 38. And I don't know how much stock you could put in these things. We've seen polls. I think polls are less important. They just kind of give you something to talk about sometimes. But Nate Silver, a well-known polling and data gurus, people say, he says, he's ran the forecast model for the November election. And based on 40,000 simulations, he said Trump has a 66% chance of winning the Electoral College gives Biden, of course, the opposite of 34% chance of winning. He says Biden, Nate Silver. So five 38 was a, it kind of, it was, I don't know if it was the first, but certainly the first big, most popular analytic site involving the Electoral College. That's why it's called 538, 538 electoral votes. And so you have a lot of people saying, this is a toss up. But I think a lot of those people are looking at the popular vote. If you're looking at how things have been trending in the battleground states and even states that Biden won, like that haven't been in Republican hands in some time, if you're just counting Electoral College votes and things trend, stay the way they've been trending, then yeah, it would be an Electoral College blowout. But a lot of those battleground states are anywhere from in polling, you know, one to 6% in Trump's favor. But so, silver has Biden winning slightly favored to win the popular vote, but Trump heavily favored to win the Electoral College. Interesting, interesting report put out there yesterday by silver. It turned out he needed more info and he came out the same day. He was polite and professional after giving us our quote. He said he'd see us in two days as scheduled, but he actually had an unexpected opening the next day. Came back out, completed the job all by himself. We're talking about Trey Bennett here. He runs the thing. He got out there and did it by himself. Michelle said he did exactly what we asked. The rate was reasonable, and best of all, I didn't have to do it myself. That last line is probably why most people call 1-800-GOT-JUNK. They'll come out and make that junk disappear. All you have to do is point. So a gambling constitutional amendment came close to making it to the ballot this past year, admits by 3/5 threshold that where it needed to be. After it sailed through the House of Representatives, a few Baldwin County lawmakers, including Matt Simpson, Francis Hulk, Jones, Foley, they voted for the bill. Tony Kinlan was on fire about all this yesterday talking with Jeff Port. Yeah, and Jeff basically asked him, "Are you worried that this is all kind of a setup?" So many people said they won't be putting casinos on the beach if that would have passed through the legislature. But once it comes off, once that ban on gambling comes off the Constitution, we're really kind of at the whims of the state legislature. And he said, "Yes, Mayor Kinlan, are you comfortable with that?" No, hell no. Forgive me. I don't want to say it's a single within 100 miles of Baldwin County. And once the Constitution has changed, then the location, how many, is completely at the whim of the legislature. And anybody that supports casinos down here will do my best. I never get involved in other races. I will do my best to get them out of office because there is nothing about a casino that's socially redeemed. Now, I'm not even taking, I'm not looking at it from a moral perspective because I love to play poker. But I know casinos bring nothing but trouble, prostitution, crime, self, drugs. Yeah, and he wants to keep that away from Orange Beach. I'm not sure if we've heard Robert Kraft, Mayor of Gulf Shores comment on this. I imagine he feels similarly, but maybe I should put words in his mouth. He also said in that interview, Kinlan did, that he was kind of surprised at some of the legislators from Baldwin County. And I don't think any of them came out and explicitly said that that's something they want to see. But he thought they'd be a little bit more like him and more of a hell no than a shrug shoulder. Well, three yes votes right there for, you know, in Baldwin County, three votes for the bill. So that's more than struggling your shoulders. That's this welcoming. Yeah, it in. And then I guess it's been Elliot who's been outspoken about keeping things, you know, he's is well, there are those out there who are concerned that he's more in line with Kenan. Yes, he's more in line with Kenan. And then people are concerned about the property that Ola owns. That Ola is owned by the porch Creek and Vinnie's right down there on Beach Express, Lower Baldwin County right off the Beach Express, right? That at some point, maybe they could flip that property because it's not Paula Dean clothes. If you the doesn't seem like the roller coasters are packed when I roll home by there, I don't know what's going on there. I don't have the balance sheet. Yeah, I can't tell you whether to make it money or not, but it would seem that if they weren't, and they would like to put a casino there. If you could do that, that would be the slippery slope, right? Yeah, I would love to hear straight truth from the porch band of Creek Indians. Is that what they want? Is that what they planned for? That's the fear on or near that property. People that don't want it, that's their fear. And you know, I've heard people say, despite the relatively low attendance at Ola that they think that the porch band is okay with that, that this is all in their plans, I love the place. I got to tell you and sure, it's expensive. It's a theme park, water park, but I have two kids and the more they grow, I think the more they will love that place, having it so close. But every time I go out there now, I've been out there for some busy days, but even the busiest of days is like a light day at another theme park. Last time we were down there, you know, this was Memorial Day weekend, you really can't go, I guess it was the week after that. Summertime, there's really very few restaurants at the beach you can get to and not wait for an hour, hour and a half, two hours, it gets worse than that. Five thirty five forty one day, we got out a little late to go get something neat. We tried to do it early to avoid the crowds and we decided to go to Ola. Very, I love the Mexican restaurant there, walked in. There was one other family there. We're talking about 6 p.m. on a Friday on a May or June weekend. Yeah. And I, you know, when it comes down to it, this place is a business. How long are they going to put up with lower numbers? Maybe the numbers aren't that low. I don't know. Maybe it just seems that way. Right. The appearance is that they're that they're just doing a nice thing and having a nice little family park in regardless if they're making money or not, it's the right thing to do. It's kind of way up. I don't know. I don't see those books, but I think Kennan and a lot of other people are picturing casinos popping up on the beaches right next to the condos. So yeah, that would be, I think that would alter the way of life for a lot of people down there. Man, oh man. Well, all this discussion has been quite educational, for sure. Here. The past year of back damming, right? No doubt. We all know more than we used to know. Jeff Porsche on the way, Mobile City Councilman Josh Woods joins him in hour number one. Are they they're going to be talking to Amtrak and some other issues, so stay tuned.
