Welcome to The Big Success Show. Today we'll talk about mixing business with pleasure. The Big Success Show with George and Mary Lynn. Hey, we're coming to you from The Big Success Mobile Studio. We're broadcasting from Las Vegas, Nevada from the new media Expo. That's right. This is a great convention and our first time attending this event was last year. And boy back then, George, Big Success was just an idea. Barely that. We got our business cards in at the nick of time. That's right. And so we were out passing business cards and talking about what we wanted to do. That's right. Now here we are at show number 200. I know we've come a long way, baby. Well, this year the Expo, and by the way, we should say this is only I think number four of the new media expos. And so it's pretty new too. But this year's so much different for us because we were so green last year. And I mean everything was new to us. Yeah, we didn't even know how to get a site up. You know, we had so many questions. And I remember we would get back to the room from a day of speakers and we would just be exhausted. I mean, they have great presenters here every year and you do get so much information. And I mean, they're just back to back to back to back. We even had to split up on some occasions so that we could get more information. I'm pretty sure that's just because Mary Lynn wanted to be away from me. But you know, that's another story, right? Well, and then in the evening, there would always be it seem like a networking party or three at least. The thing is, we met some great people and we've established some lifelong friendships. That's right. In this year, we're doing more networking. We're finding those people who we admire who are doing great things and we're seeking their advice. We're reconnecting with the friends we made last year and also some people that we've met online since we were here. And you know, we're learning more about the business side of our business and taking in the great presenters that are here this year. And that's what it's really all about is just going to a conference expanding your knowledge. But the thing is, we also figured out how to make this trip even more fun. And coming up how we're mixing business with pleasure. Today, we're talking about a conference we're attending called the new media Expo and how we've been able to mix this business trip with some fun. Now, we've talked about work life balance here before on big success. And for George and me, that really doesn't work. What works best for us is integrating work and life. And this trip is a perfect example. When we were scheduling the trip, we checked prices for flights and the hotel. And what we found out was by not flying out of Vegas on Sunday, by flying out on the following Tuesday instead, we could essentially stay for two more days for free because the flight was so much less. So hey, we can work in a little mini vacation here. We had we had dinner Tuesday evening with a friend who lives here in Vegas. And then I got to spend some time at the pool on Wednesday. So yeah, we're having a good time. And you know, we're networking this evening, the conference ends on Saturday. But then we have a couple of free days and we'll be able to enjoy some couple time on our upcoming days off. And for you, Marieland, that means pool time, right? More pool time. Well, and we feel very lucky because, you know, there's an advantage in working together. A lot of people think there's not an advantage to working together, but there is an advantage to working together because we get to travel together. We had to go to conferences together. It's how we've chosen to live our lives, but it definitely works for us. It's the path we wanted. You can get a written summary of today's show on our site at Big Success.
