Welcome to The Big Success Show. Today, we present you with a riddle. Where are you if you ain't where you are? The Big Success Show with George and Mary Lynn. Where are you if you ain't where you are? Hmm, that's an interesting question, Mary Lynn. And we were watching a rerun of "Mash." Ah, love "Mash." We love that show. And according to Colonel Sherman Potter, if you ain't where you are, you're no place. Oh, so that's where you are. Yeah. Or aren't, huh? Yeah, exactly. Well, and after we heard that, we started thinking about it, and we realized that that's really a very profound quote. In fact, we loved it so much. We've mashed up six tips on how to live in the moment, because if you ain't where you are, you are no place. Well, in tip number one is this, get past the past. You can't change it, but you can change the here and now. You've learned from the past, now get over it. Yeah, good and bad, because you can't rest on past successes either. Like the old saying says, "Fill your weights for all who stay with some successes made yesterday." It's yesterday's news. You've got to move on. Yeah, number two. Well, the opposite direction. Stop fretting about the future. You know, tomorrow will take care of tomorrow. You should plan for your future. That sets your direction. But once you've got it planned, you have to focus entirely on the present. Yeah, treat what's going on now as a stepping stone, and you're working on your future by taking care of business today. BTO would sell you. Yeah. Tip number three, stop wishing your life away. So many things that people wish they had. Like wishing you were smarter. Wishing you had more money. Oh, for ladies, this is a big one. Wishing I was prettier. Oh, well, for the guys, Mary Lynn. Wishing you had a bigger house. Happy to worry there for a second, George. Oh, good. I like to keep you on your toes. The point is, is that you just don't look at what you have. You're only focused on what you don't have. Yeah, that leads us to tip number four, Mary Lynn, which is count your blessings. Appreciate what you have. Who you are. You're a pretty special person. Thank you, George. We did a show not too long ago called The Greatest Miracle in the World. How you are the greatest miracle in the world. And we've got a link to that on our blog today. You should take a listen. Yeah, and so count your blessings. You have a lot to be thankful for. And a great way to appreciate things is tip number five. Pay attention to the little things in your everyday life. And use all your senses when you do. Yeah, look around you. You really look. See all the color, the textures. And breathe the air. Unless you're in 12 lanes of traffic in Los Angeles. Yeah, but even then you can feel the warmth of the sun, right? So enjoy the beauty around you. That's our point. And coming up, the best teacher we know when it comes to living in the moment. Today we're highlighting a quote from Colonel Sherman Potter. And he said, "If you ain't where you are, you're no place." And we've matched up some tips on how to live in the moment. One final tip, this is number six. Get in touch with your child like nature. Definitely, because kids are without a doubt our best teacher when it comes to living in the moment. And they don't think about yesterday. They don't worry about tomorrow. Yeah, they just worry about what the other kid is playing with. Kind of like us adults, right? Some things never change. But, you know, to a kid each day is a new day full of wonder. Yeah, so give yourself some time to play. Be inquisitive again. Ask questions. Does that mean that I should start asking why all the time? Because I don't think that's going to go over well with the boss. Well, Maryland, hopefully your ability to question has evolved a little bit beyond that. Why do you say that? You can get a written summary of today's show on our blog at BigSuccess.com. Also, that's why you'll find the link to the show that I mentioned earlier. And let's get our big quote for the day, George. Quote today comes from the author, Louise L. Hay, who said, "The point of power is always in the present moment." Yesterday is gone forever. Tomorrow never comes. So put all your energy into here, now. And next time, we're going to talk about how to find your fortune through promiscuity. Ooh, sounds kinky. Until then, here's to your big success. The Big Success Show at B-I-G-G Success.com. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [music] [BLANK_AUDIO]
