What We Learned About Bigg Success in 2007
Welcome to our 36th big success show. Today we'll share what we learned about big success in 2007. The big success show with George and Mary Lynn. It's New Year's Eve today Mary Lynn. Woohoo! I had a party horn I'd give you a big old toot. I don't think I want to hear your toot. You know what I think about isn't party horns, it's cocktail napkins. Ah yes we talked about that in our last show and how you can actually put them to use tonight. That's right you can use it to write down your vision. What your favorites were and also some funny things that you haven't heard before here at Big Success including our biggest blooper of 2007. Was it you George? You made the big blooper? Was it me? You'll have it with you with your big two. No so stay tuned all right. But first we want to talk about what was our top five this year, our top five posts according to you. Number five was John Wooden's Pyramid of Success. That was an article out of our newsletter. Number four was the confidence game about building yourself confidence. Number three people loved Mingle Bells. Well you know some great networking tips there that you can use at holiday parties or any party. And number two choice was our first show which was the definition of success and number one. George what was your favorite this year? You know Marilyn my favorite I think of everything we did has to be the John Bramblet story and if you missed it John Bramblet's a young man who went blind a couple years ago and since then has discovered painting and we've got a link to his site on in the article and it's amazing what this young man's doing with his life. Hey you'll definitely have to check it out at big success.com. It's one of the most inspiring stories you'll read. And your favorite Marilyn? I'd have to say when Santa came to visit us at Big Success Studio and taught us how to laugh from our belly. What a good student you are. Look at that. That's a great laugh. That was a special show. I'd say one of the things that was most surprising to us here at Big Success in 2007 is our international audience. Yeah because you know we're here in the United States and obviously you know when you set up an internet business that it is worldwide. That's why they call it the worldwide web rate. Exactly. But I guess number two on the list. Number one was the United States. Number two we have to send out a good die to all Australians out there. Good day. I hope we're seeing it right. If not please let us know. And oh Canada tell your friends to take a listen to Big Success because you came in right behind Australia. Yeah number three and number four was the United Kingdom. Coming up some things we found funny at Big Success and our biggest blooper of the year. Some things we found funny and I guess I'll tell a story on myself Marylin. You know this you come from broadcasting I don't and Marylin talked about needing that I needed to get a P filter. Now I have to tell you the first time she said I needed to get a P filter I was a little worried. It's nothing bad or it says that you were popping your P's. I guess so. So we had to get a little shield for the microphone. Nothing to worry about. Well the next thing is when your first name is big you know big success and we try to play off that obviously as much as we can and people have probably seen that. We put big in almost every article with two G's. But there were a few words that we rejected. There's big pics. Yes it just doesn't sound so it doesn't. It doesn't work. And the other one or another one that we rejected because you have to enunciate so clearly when you say this was big tips. Yes you got to be careful when you say big tips because otherwise people might get the wrong idea. And finally you know the final one was one day when we were trying to come up with what we would call our subscribers to the newsletter. We decided not to call them big members. Unfortunately that doesn't work. No. And one more thing that we can't do with big success. Yes. We can't just do the initials. I think you discovered this when you were signing up for iTunes right. Yeah because some people just use their initials to shorten the name but we can't. So what would the initials be for the big success show? Yes. That just doesn't work. Well we hope we're not BS right. All right and now this brings us to our biggest blooper of 2007. Now this actually didn't air but it came from our very first show. Yes occasionally we do make mistakes. Yes we do. But I saved this because it is definitely worth hearing and our biggest blooper of the year. George you get the award. Oh thank you. Here it is. Take a listen. Right if you know you did everything you possibly could you can have peace of mind even if you fell a little short short of the mark. Or short. Excuse me. I don't think you want that. I think you gotta go now. That's a good one George. Yes. See we started with toots and we're ending with sharks so. We've got a theme going here. I guess we do.
