Cryptid Creator Corner from Comic Book Yeti - A Comic Book Interview Podcast

Dakota Brown talks Grandma Tilly's Hell-Tech Mech

I hadn't gotten a chance to catch up with fellow native East Tennessean, Dakota Brown, since way back before the podcast started when I was conducting live interviews on Twitter/X Spaces. This one is lots of fun. I got to hear all about his new project Grandma Tilly's Hell-Tech Mech from Band Of Bards, which is honestly about like it sounds, a zany story about a game addicted grandmother on the hunt for a new controller on double XP day. This is a super entertaining and unconventional read. We might have gotten sidetracked a time or three talking about Dakota's favorite subject, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but we also worked in enough time to hear about his other project Death Comes for the Toymaker, a holiday themed exploration of the epic of Gilgamesh. The trade comes out next March and if you want to hear more about it, there's a transcript of the live interview on the Comic Book Yeti website. Make sure to check out our friends over at Sanity Damage. Sanity Damage is a D&D actual play live show! Dive into a high seas adventure full of piracy, steampunk, and Lovecraftian horror. You can find Sanity Damage on any podcasting platform or watch the party live on YouTube, biweekly on Thursdays, at 7:30 EST. Find it on YouTube @thehomebrewdnd. Learn more about your ad choices.
