Continuing our Pride Month coverage, I'm chatting today with comics creator Iasmin Omar Ata (Delta) about their new YA graphic novel Nayra and the Djinn from from Viking Books for Younger Readers. Full of delightful supernatural folklore, this modern interpretation of the mythology of the djinn brings the myth to a whole new generation of readers while following the protagonist Nayra as she navigates bullying and shifting friendships in this coming of age story from the perspective of a young Muslim during Ramadan.
