(upbeat music) David Platt tells about an Englishman who decided to buy a Rolls Royce. The car advertises the one that would never, ever, ever break down. One day when he was driving a long way out of town to his surprise, the car quit running. Immediately he called Rolls Royce and reported that the car advertised to never, ever break down had just broken down. Immediately a Rolls Royce mechanic was flown through the location of the broken down car. He fixed the car and soon the owner was on his way. The man naturally expected to receive a large bill for the expensive service. But weeks went by and no bill arrived. Finally he called the company and said, "I'd like to go ahead and pay for my car repair "so that we can get this behind us." Rolls Royce responded, "Sir, we are deeply sorry, "but we have absolutely no record of anything "ever having gone wrong with your car." David concludes the story with this thought. "For all who come to Christ and receive a new heart from him, "the God of the universe looks at you and says, "I have absolutely no record of anything "ever having gone wrong in your life." You see, God's evaluation of your life is not based on what you have done for him, but totally on what Jesus has done for you. He died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sin. Romans 10, 9 says explicitly that if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, your sins will be forgiven, washed away, gone. And then God can look at you and say, "I have absolutely no record of anything "ever having gone wrong in your life. "Do it today." You've been listening to encouraging words with Darlene Salah.
