Stacy Haiduk, who plays the dual roles of Patty Williams and Dr. Emily Peterson on CBS Daytime's The Young and the Restless, will be making her first appearance on BuzzWorthy Radio!
Haiduk first got recognition as playing Lana Lang in the Superboy series from 1988-1992. From then on out, she had smaller roles in television and film, until 2007 when she landed the role of Hannah Nichols on ABC Daytime's All My Children. Unfortunately, her character met her demise when she purposely fell over a cliff in 2008.
The following year, Haiduk made her way to Genoa City as the mysterious Mary Jane Benson, only to later be revealed as Patty Williams, Paul's (Doug Davidson) sister. Haiduk also took on the role of Dr. Emily Peterson.
So, what is now in store for Emily? Patty? Kitty? Oh wait...Kitty is dead, isn't he? This IS a soap, after all. No one stays dead and buried!

Stay tuned for what's coming up, what's happening, what's going on, and what will be coming up, what drama to be expected on your favorite soap. Listen in. Hi, welcome to Buzzworthy Radio on. It is Thursday. Let's think about the downpour here on the East Coast. May 27, 2010. Here on BroadtalkRadio.com. I'm your host Navell, Jay Lee. It's ACM Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific time here on your Internet Pure iTunes. However, you're listening to this show on your phone, whatever, have you. However, you're listening to this show. But I'm very excited about the guests that we are having on. She's one of my favorites, and I know she's probably one of your favorites too. And of course, you know, I was completely devastated that she was not nominated for a D10MA award. She plays the dual roles of Dr. Emily Peterson and Patty Williams. Up to the stage times, the young and the restless. She previously played the role of Hannah Nichols. On the East Coast, all my children are Chicago Starks. Nice to meet them on the Lang in the Superboy series. Whoever said evil was ugly. They definitely did not meet Stacy. Hi, Duke. Hey, Stacy, how are you? I'm good. How are you doing? I'm doing very well. Wow, it's so hot out there. Thank you so much for coming over here today. It was great. Finally getting to talk to you on the show. Absolutely. No problem. No problem. Finally got some space that we can't talk. Yeah, right? Exactly. Is it warmer you are? Let me first ask you that because I just came from going outside and it's 92 outside. Is it? Is it warmer? I mean, I... We're inside the studio. So it's pretty... It's kind of what? Like, 76 degrees, probably at the normal temperature of all time. Yeah, it hasn't gone anywhere. I'm sure when I go outside, it'll probably be warm. You are going to be going outside a little bit, aren't you? You're attending the date time to give us a back event later on today. Damn. I'll be going out very soon. That's right. That's been exciting. That must be an exciting thing. I was actually talking to Jim Ramonovich about that maybe about a few weeks ago. He was telling us a little bit about that, but he didn't divulge into the full details of it. Well, I don't know. You can. My first time I've experienced it and I look forward to it. I think it'll be a wonderful thing to do. It is. It is. I know that this year is... this year is for feed the children. Yes. So, yeah, it was different from actually, but yeah, I think it's going to be a great experience. I can't wait to find out how it's going to turn out next month. You think so? So, it's... I should go. Oh, is that? It's only like you said I should go. Oh, what? You should. I would love to go. I was on the West Coast. So, it's Feed America, though, right? Yeah. Feed America, and I think it's got the children. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, you've been playing. Why aren't you doing? Oh, you're in New Jersey. Well, that's good. I am in Jersey. Oh, okay, then. Then your heart will be there. My heart will be there. I will be there in spirit with all of you guys, but I will be there. We'll be in Vegas next month. I'll get to watch it with all of you. How about that? That would be a lovely thing. Yeah. Are you looking for that? I will be there. Yeah, I'll be there for the Emmys. Yeah, so it'll be a great time. So, I'm looking forward to watching how this all turns out. All unfolds, right? Yes. Oh, excellent. Yes. So, let's talk about your why and our role here. A role, I should say, not role, role. Sure. Want to talk about it? Well, look, you know, who can say that evil has to look ugly? Evil can have a pretty face and you're playing. Playing Patti Williams and then playing also Dr. Emily Pearson. I mean, seriously juggling two roles. Is that difficult or was that either of you or did you like playing both roles? Oh, I like it a lot. I think it's been wonderful, wonderful, wonderful challenge. But, yeah, it is difficult sometimes because you're not just learning one side of dialogue. You're learning both sides as different people. So, you have to take one side as one character and then switch it around and do the other side, which you've got to make sure you keep your character stuck. Yeah. And, but what happened quite nicely is the wig, having that wig as Patti really defined that character because I put it on and all of a sudden I'd get all kitty and stuff. But then they switched and put Emily in it and it was like, oh, now I've got to redefine this because it's not about the character anymore. Now it's Emily with the wig on and then now Patti's. So it got a little, you get a little twisted. But it was fun. It definitely was a good experience. I love it. I'm enjoying it. That's what I was wondering because I was wondering if you were actually doing those parts. And somehow it got mixed up and intertwined and you're like, oh, wait a minute. I'm acting like Emily where I should be acting like Patti, like Emily, or wait. I'm acting like Patti where I should be Emily as Patti kind of a thing. It's so much better than I could ever say. That's pretty impressive right there. It's time I get Emily Patti. Emily, I'm already like, I can't figure out who to what. Yes. But when you're in the character, it's a trip. It's fun. She's fun. So is this the last time we're going to see Patti? Because I know she's back in the crazy house. I guess we can say. We'll have to see. We'll have to see. We'll have to see. Don't. Patti out. Yeah. Don't counter out yet. I mean, I love Emily, the dad, and everything. And girl, the bangs. No. Oh, you don't like the bangs? You don't like the bangs at all. I don't like the bangs at all. Oh, no, that's okay. It's okay. I love the other hair style. Like, why would I mess with this thing? You know what I mean? You don't appreciate that. They'll probably grow out within the next certain time because I liked them for a week. But they're fun. They are fun, but you're right. I totally understand what you're saying. I just felt that Emily needed a new change. But I wasn't willing to shave my head or trim it too short. Let's not do that. Let's not do that. No, let's not. I don't think it's a good idea. All right. I appreciate that. I do. I appreciate that. Yeah. Get back to the no bangs and the strings. All right, no bangs. I'm listening. I will listen. I hear you. I'm just saying. I'm not, I'm not pressuring you or anything. I'm just saying. When I come back in, in the week with like extensions on my bangs because I have such an erotica. Oh, God. I told you about the wig. All right. Now I'm telling you about the bangs and the string hair and the curly hair and this. That's okay. I fell with the flow. You try new things. That's why you got to be daring in life. Otherwise you just stay in the same, right? So you try it. Absolutely. So now with Emily now, she's now back on the scene. She's basically not able to just get any patience. You know, her practice is pretty much now screwed. And, you know, they're right now talking about wanting to revoke her license or something. And it's like, oh gosh, what's Emily now going to do? You know what I mean? Like, seriously, what are we going to see happen with her? Kind of with, like, scrubbing floors and then... The floor is at the athletic club, right? So, Jack, can I clean your house? We don't know. Where are you at? Where are they at in the storyline? I don't even know. That's where they are right now. That's where they are right now. She just got to call, like, yesterday telling Jack that they're going to take her license away from practicing. So that's where we're at. Okay. Yeah. She's not doing so well. I'm not in Canada. I don't have the special privilege of having it a day ahead. So... Oh, I'm so sorry. But, yeah, I don't... She's in the shitter. Yeah. You're allowed to say that word. Don't worry. We're not FCC. I'm not like... Sam, what can I say? Okay. So, yeah, she's in the shitter right now. That's a good place. Yeah. That's a good word. She's trying seeing her way to figure out what the heck to do. So, that's a good thing. I'm like, quote that when I write my recap of this interview, go, like, Emily is in the shitter right now. Am I allowed to say... I'm allowed to quote that line. You can put Emily in them, put, like, little dashes, and people can figure out what that is. Oh, that doesn't make sense because it's not that, so... Figure it out to their own devices. I like that. That's right. Just give them the how many letters it is, and they'll figure it out. I got our own brand of wheel, fortunately, and I like that. And you know what else? I'm not the only one that said this. Everybody was on Twitter. I'm sure Jackie saw it, too, because I know you're sitting there. And everybody was tweeting away about how upset we were that not only were you not nominated for an Emmy, you weren't even pre-nominated. We were like, oh, I'm sad to get here. I was pre-nominated. I didn't get to... You weren't pre-nominated. I was pre-nominated the pre before, but I was nominated for the Emmy, which was a disappointment. Trust me, I was disappointed. But then we were disappointed. I was one of your obvious supporters. Oh, come on. Seriously. I was high-broken that you did not get a nomination. I really was. You touched me and learned it. I appreciate that. I was disappointed. It was like what? Really? Really? You know, that didn't get what they wanted. But you know what we're just saying? That all you can do is put it out there and it's like the bangs, right? It's like the bangs, exactly. It's like the bangs, exactly. There's always next year, too, right? Exactly. There's always next year. I thought maybe I scared them with my gorgeous blonde wig. They're probably like, "Ah, she's good." Yeah, we probably screamed and cried when we saw that wig on your hand. Let me tell you what. You were like a different beast when you had to have a wig on your hand. I was disappointed. But you know what? I support all the people from my one, our group that did get nominated and thrilled. So we'll see what happens. Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, the show, the show got nominated for an Emmy. You can play your cast member. You're on screen partner Jack. If Peter Bergman got nominated, you're on screen brother. He just got nominated. Seriously. You've got a nice group of people here that's on this roster and now it's nominated for an Emmy. Yeah, there's a lot of support from this guy alone and yourself. So yeah. Absolutely. No, it's good. It's all good. You know. It's fun and wonderful. And yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I got to ask you this too. Because I got some online shows on listeners that actually had started tweeting at me when they heard that I was talking to you today. Oh, really? Yeah, they weren't because they were like saying, "You know, I can't believe your interview because I loved her. It's Hannah, all my children. Oh, I know. She was an evil bitch on there too, but she wasn't flat out crazy. Yeah. No, she was. I mean, I think the nasty characters are so much fun to play. But I also, you know, like I said from the beginning way back when it's basing them in some reality so that people can identify that they're not just bad. They have something that they're going after. And when you have that, you can kind of root for them. Yeah. I like Hannah too. I thought she was a really sweet, sweet character. And I loved them over there. Because that's really my first time on a soap. I mean, my experience on a soap. And it really was quite a wonderful one. I mean, getting to work with, you know, Torsten and Michael Knight and, you know, Lisha. And it was sweet. I just loved it. I had a good time. Yeah. Absolutely. And, you know, it's not so bad how you went out over a cliff. No. That wasn't it? I remember shooting that and I got, they were, they were shaking. I don't know, cornflakes or plastic snowflake things. Oh, yeah. The big smell. See it. If you, if you watch closely enough, it's probably too far away. But there's like the end scene when she actually, I think, did she go off? I was doing the scene with Torsten and I literally, I went in for the hug and I was crying. And I inhaled. And one of them went all the way back into my throat. I was like, "See, I don't stop the scene. I just keep going with it so I can't breathe. I'm like, "You know that actually worked though when you did that." And it's in your mouth as soon as I fell over. If I'm like, "Real." And I just remove her on myself. I'm like, "Oh, I got to get this thing out." And it comes like, "Oh, it's awful. I remember that." Me just going out and then Torsten says, "You could have stopped the scene. I'm like, "No, that's not what I did. I just got with it." It was fun, though. It was fun. It was unbelievable. Now they're out here, which is cool. Yeah, they are out west now. That's crazy, isn't it? Oh, yeah. Who did you get to talk to? Oh, goodness. Who didn't I talk to? Mike Knight? Michael Knight? I did talk to Mike Knight, Torsten. I just talked to Lish, Lish and Joo. Goodness. Gracious. Hello. I'm sitting here trying to remember my own people. Don't worry about it. I'm 24 and I'm forgetful. You know, you put me in that zone where it's like all about you right now. I love that. That's a good thing. I appreciate that. That's the best answer, right? Yes, it's very good. Very good. No, I have it. No cop-outs. It's all about me. It's all about you. Okay, yeah. It's all about you. No one wants to listen to me, please. They're not here for me. They did a further tune in to listen to you. You're going to have fun next month. You're going to come by my podium, right? I don't want to, like, maliciously grab you over to come here. I will do that, though, if you want, but I don't want to do that. Well, you know what? Just make sure you, you know, show me your hand and I'll go, "Oh, hello, no darling." I talked to you the last time, right? We chatted. You did. You did. You did. We had a strawberry daiquiri in the white wine, you know what I mean? You got to do that again. I'm just fine. You had the strawberry daiquiri. I'm sad. Mine is a strawberry daiquiri, yes. I didn't want my teeth to stain for the stain, hello. I don't think you have that to worry about. Oh, no. I don't think you have anything to worry about with that, please. Well, hindsight's 20/20, so this means that we'll see maybe, since you said you're bringing out a different side of Emily, is she going to show maybe, like, a little bit of Patty and her down the road, you think? Would you like that? You know what? It's interesting to say, "Hold on, just a second." I'm holding. I'm moving. I'm bumping to the music. What is this from? Twitter, they just Twitter. Can we read it? Yes. We're reading a Twitter that says CBS, Soaps, and Deaf. It says, "I'm notoriously difficult, so please, viewer." Yes, yes. I did see that. I did see that. CBS was damn near soap perfection. So, perfection. It should be like this all the time. We want more of... Yeah! That's what they said. That is what they said. One of those corrupting, like, kids' children think, "Look at what I have." I'm kidding. Would Jackie right now, on Twitter, just, like, reading this stuff right now? Yes. Is she? We love Jackie. Jackie, what did I tell you about being a Twitter author, right? It's not coming to date. I'm Twitter, okay? Look, we're already chop-upset. We're already chop-upset, okay? Oh, very nice. See, I don't know how to Twitter. I barely know how to do any of that stuff, so I'm... I'm gonna get these days. One of these days, I know everybody's trying, but then they look at my phone and it's from God knows when. They all look at it and they go, "What are you doing with this thing?" I know. It's pretty bad. So, you asked the question about, "Will Emily... Will my character Emily have a little side of Patty?" Ooh, maybe the essence came off on her. You know what? It would be nice to find her layers, you know, 'cause she's not as just emotionally... What do you want to call it? Emotionally out there? Emotionally intertwined, I don't know. I don't know, yes. So, it's finding her rhythms. And sometimes, what happens is, I haven't had a chance to do a full, 'cause Patty's kind of coming and throwing a lip on it. So, I have to get a little run where Emily's got some time where we see where she goes with it, I guess. Yeah, but it can, I mean, I don't know if she'll... No, you know, it's a soap world. We don't know what will happen. No, you don't know. I mean, you know, they could give her back story for, you know, all about her and, you know, maybe they can make her a little bit of evil. Never say never in this business. Never say never. Always just enjoy. They thank you very much. They thank you very much. That's right. And remember, the bangs and the curly hair, I'm just saying, just on the put-out there. I'm just saying, I'm just putting it up there. I'm hearing you. I am hearing you. See, my husband likes bangs. He likes that kind of look. So, now I'm going to have to say, honey, it's talking on the phone and I'm going to get rid of the bangs now. Yeah, exactly. It will be, it'll be a good, good thing. Oh, dear. I do have, before we wrap up, I do have, before we wrap up, I do have someone that comes from Paris. Ooh, I love it. And actually, actually flew the YR event last year from Paris to the States for you guys. I mean, he does it all the time every two years. Felipe, Felipe. Oh, but he gave me the, the Eiffel Tower, didn't he? Yes, he did. I still have that on my kitchen. Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I do. I still remember him. Yeah, he wanted to say that again. He wanted to say hello from Paris and everything. Wow, you still have that kitchen. Can I remember that? I'm really good at visual faces and everything. I'm not very good with the name, so I'm working on it. But I am good, and I do remember that. He gave me the Eiffel Tower, and I brought it home, put it on my key chain, and it's still there. Tell him hello. Hello, hello, hello. I will do that. It's something. It's a bonjour, I thought, but maybe I'm wrong. Bonjour. I don't know how to say it correctly, but that's how you say it. It's all in the name of it. Well, my husband would, because he speaks French very well, and he's always telling me it's either in the nasal or in the throat, and I, you know, they're certain ones I can say, but some I just think, like, I can't go there. But it is a beautiful village, and I love Paris. I can't wait to go back. I cannot wait. You've been to Paris. I have. I have. I love it. You had a beautiful time, shop, eight croissants, cafes, chocolates, all the good stuff. It was good. Yeah, I officially now hate you, but I still love you, but I hate you. Oh, yeah, that's good. That's on the way back, 6 a.m. She just likes to say I'm drinking, and I said no, honey. That was on the way back. That was when I came back from Paris, and I was very sad to leave, and we had fun, and we bought all these bottles of wine, and I literally woke up one day, because we got up at, like, four, but I think it was, like, three in the morning, because the time changes were weird, and by, like, probably six or seven, I was like, I looked at my husband, and I said, is it too early to have a drink? Oh, my goodness. It was like, I missed so much, and it was so fabulous, and, you know, I'd please, I could never do that now. But then-- It was too early to have a drink. [LAUGHTER] Well, excuse me. You're shaking your head since never too early. It's always-- any time is a good time. It's five o'clock somewhere here, okay? [LAUGHTER] It's like that. That was, um, Florence Leakeman. And, um, what did she say in that movie? I can't remember what movie. But she's literally like the country. You think about the country side? I'm literally thinking, 'cause I remember her going, she's having a glass of wine, and it's, I think, it's early in the morning, and, um, you know, Leoni's character says something, and she goes, "What are you drinking, Sarah?" She goes, "Well, it's 12 o'clock somewhere." You know, it's gross. Huge, and she's so funny. It was a good one. [LAUGHTER] You know. [LAUGHTER] Someone said it somewhere. I kind of used that for my motto. [LAUGHTER] Put it on a T-shirt. That's the one. Put it on a T-shirt. 12 o'clock somewhere. 12 o'clock somewhere. And it has a bottle of wine on the back of the shirt. I'm just like... Love that. One of my favorites. I love... I'm blowing smoke right out of my ass like right now, seriously. [LAUGHTER] But... [LAUGHTER] It's a getting around pocket. [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] We're seriously gonna have to, once we get to Vegas, we're gonna teach you how to tweet on Twitter. That's the version. I'm scared. I'm really, really, really, really, really, really scared. I don't have to pop your Twitter cherry. All right. All right. You're going to do this. I don't know if I can. It's a little virgin, I know. But it's like... Look, Jackie. If Jackie can do it, anybody can, please. Wait. Jackie's young enough. She can figure out anything. My daughter's really good at it. Well, I'm Twittering now, but she can do even text. I can't even text. I think you never answer my text when I text. Well, I can't do it. I literally text me just to push like hi. It's like half an hour, and I'm like done. I don't know how to do it. I just don't know how to... [LAUGHTER] All right, so there. I... Girl, you've got a lot to learn. That's funny. That's disgusting. I can type an email, and I, you know... [LAUGHTER] I can pick up the phone and go, "Hello?" [LAUGHTER] You don't even... Where are you? Exactly. Oh, no. I'm checking from here going, "Where are your message?" I don't know. They don't show up. See? Chaos. Absolute chaos. They don't show up. They don't show up. Let's see what happens when I text here. See, we're even doing... Oh, they don't. If it actually works. See, you're getting like the full on. If you were here, it would be so fabulous, but you are here in voice. So... I am there in voice, so... I'm in there in Auckland, here. But I will be there in a month from now, so I will see it. [LAUGHTER] So we'll have to have a drink at any time, because anywhere it's okay. Yes. Absolutely. Drink. Learn how to tweet and join Twitter. We're going to do it all. I mean, look, happy that you're watching our people are on the dang thing anyway. So you might as well get on it. Seriously. Thank you. Okay. I'm going to try. I'll give it that. I will give it a try. I'm a little nervous. All right. Jackie, you start teaching her. By the time I get out there next month, I want a progress report. [LAUGHTER] That is your homework assignment. That is your homework assignment. I want a progress report when I get there next month. And I want you to have a great time as you try to get back today. Oh, thank you so much. I appreciate that. So nice talking with you, finally. It was fun talking with you, finally, but we'll talk again. [INAUDIBLE] See, she just found out that my phone doesn't even get text. Why? Why? Look at us. You become like our friend. It's like you just hear -- we're talking about -- oh, my God. We're talking about Twittering. I mean, I can't believe it. Yeah. It's still in the dark ages here. Yeah, but I will do my best. That's all I can say. All right. Do your best. All right. And I'll find out next month what went down. At least see forever. You know, okay. If I don't do very well, just don't go below. Like, I don't want to do your ear now. I won't give you an -- I won't fail you. I don't like letter grade. If you make -- if you make me attempt, I will give you an A for effort. Okay. Excellent. All right. I'll give it a try then. [LAUGHTER] I'll like one word out. You. [LAUGHTER] And then I'll just have to put one you, right? You're right. [LAUGHTER] I love it. Thank you so much. You're very welcome. [LAUGHTER] Enjoy the rest of your day. I will. We should say a wa. A wa. A wa. So we do each other again. Until we do each other next month. So next time, a wa. [LAUGHTER] And everything -- and everything else that I don't know. Here's a drink to you. We'll see you next month. King, absolutely. You take care. You too, love. Asu the shardier. That's to enjoy your life. [LAUGHTER] I'm not going to remember that. [LAUGHTER] Asu the shardier. Asu the shardier. Asu the shardier. Asu the shardier. Yeah, I'm going to listen to this show and figure that out. [LAUGHTER] Okay, you're going to listen to that. And every next one -- okay, that's your thing. You've got to learn that one. Asu the shardier. So you're going to listen to that. And when I see you next, you're going to say that. And I'm going to show you my you on Twitter. Okay. All right. Fair enough. That's a deal. Cool, cool, cool. [LAUGHTER] Five. I'm like a nutcase. I'm more like it. [LAUGHTER] Five. Five. Five. Safety Heidi again, everybody. Oh, goodness. It was just like one second. And they cut it out. All right, guys. We are done for the day, but we're going to be back on June 8th, where we're going to have on Richard Stims. He's actually one of the editors of Soaps in Depth for CBS. And we're going to be doing a pre Emmy show. So make sure you guys tune in for that. We're going to be at 8 p.m. Eastern on June 8th. So hopefully you guys check out that. I want to thank you guys for listening to the show today, with Safety Heidi. Many, many thanks to her. You can catch her on the younger rest of those weekdays, on CBS week 9th on Soapsnet, and also online at CBS.com/staytime. Be sure you guys get the latest buzz with Buzzworthy Radio. We'll see you guys on June 8th.
