What's going on everybody, welcome to Buzzworthy Radio. It is Friday, GGIF. December 11th. 2009, phone number to call in is 646-595-4228. We're going to be joined by Gail and Gary, who plays the role of Ray on NBC's Days of Our Lives. Many fans also remember him as Luis Lopez de Gerald on Passions, which was on the same network before it moved to direct TV. We also have our chat room that is right now up and running, so if you guys are popping into the room, which is what I am seeing right now, all of y'all make your way in there. We're going to be taking some questions not just from the chat room, but also on the phone once it gets you. He's supposed to be here in about 10 minutes to stay tuned for that. Quick updates on what I want to give you. We are actually going to be having on another show tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific Coast time with James Maslow, who's going to be in the upcoming Nickelodeon show, Big Time Rush. We're going to be interviewing him as well as Jillian Jacobson, who plays role of Brita on the community. So definitely check out that we have some other stuff coming up within the next couple of weeks. So stay tuned for that. I will definitely, definitely keep you posted as to what's going on with also other interviews coming along the way. But before he gets here, I just want to finally put out there, or at least say something, which I hadn't done before. And that is, can you believe that as well turns, he's campable? I mean, it's been campable. Just after the details of sitting down here, now we're seeing as well, we're hearing about how the water energy is in cancellation, not facing cancellation, are canceled, terrible. I really, I guess, still in shock about it only because I don't think it's hit me yet. I don't think it's hit me yet that it's going off the air in September 2010. I honestly think that it's all a dream, it's all a pipe dream. Maybe I'm going to wake up the next day and realize that, oh, okay, it's not going to happen. You know, this is just all for nothing. And there you have it, but it's true. It's true. CNN announced it. Everybody else has announced it. You know, this is the second longest daytime drama that's been on the air that's been on the television screen. I'm actually going to be posting a blog entry about my frustrations about this day-to-day time now, especially with that in like going off the air. And as well turns, soon to be going off the air over the weekend, so make sure you guys check out that at buzzwayradio.net. So I will definitely be putting that out there because as you, as you, all fans are well aware of, it's a dying breed. Daytime is a dying breed. You know, you're going to have only two soaps now left on CBS. And what I like to live is probably an excellent shot of blood. So, you know, it's bad, but yeah, let's, everybody's in the room. I see jeans in the room, Kenzie's mom, his screen names in the room, so make your way in there. And again, for the phone number to dial in, if you want to ask alien questions, once he gets onto the line, it's 646-595-4228, and to send us emails or questions as well besides in the chat room, it's Natalie at buzzwayradio.net. So there's a, those are our three ways that you can get in contact with questions for Mr. Ryan. And again, you'll be here in about five minutes time. Some programming updates for you on the show on Tuesday, we're going to be having Arn Kendra from the Bad Girls Club at the Arizona Oxygen. She'll be joining us Tuesday morning. So that's going to be quite interesting to talk to her, so make sure you guys check out for that. Also, we got some other things coming up, quite possibly, some interviews along the way that I can't quite get into yet. I can't, I can't tell you, I can't tell you yet because they're not set in stone, you can't tell you that. But as soon as I know the go ahead, I will definitely let you know, so stay posted for that. And all you guys follow us on Twitter, definitely follow us on Twitter at buzzwayradio, simple of that, right, how original. But yeah, follow us on Twitter at buzzwayradio, if not on Twitter, you can definitely sign up on our Facebook page. Facebook fan page, just go to buzzwayradio. We are there, look for us, be posting day-to-day on a day-to-day basis, yes. But absolutely, follow us on Twitter, find us on Facebook, we are there ready and rolling ready for action. Now, since we're on the subject of day-to-day, since we are having a day-to-day person on here, I want you guys, I want to ask you this, who's exciting for a return to day-to-day of our lives, which is supposed to air next Friday? I'm sure you all are aware of it, but I am not going to spoil it for any of those that didn't hear this yet, but for those of you who did, who's excited for that? I know I'm excited for that. I want to see how this character is going to fit into the story, but absolutely I'm excited that this person is returning to the show, just saying, just throwing it out there for you guys, just throwing it out there. So I'm looking forward to that, and I can't believe we got away to week, a week from today before we get a new episode of Venice, which, by the way, Galen is awesome on, and you got to see him on the first episode of it. And what did you guys think of Venice? What did you guys think of him on that, and what do you think of Venice overall? I think it's great. I heard differences of opinion of it, but honestly I think it's really good. I think Venice is off the charts. They got a great thing going, and hopefully everybody feels the same about it. It seems like with everything that's been put into the production, it looks really hot. The sad thing to say about it is I think web soaps are the new thing, and they're going to be the "it" thing. I know many people do not want to hear that, but that's pretty much where we're rolling with it. So if you haven't checked out Venice, make sure you guys check it out. And you know what? I think the 10 bucks is worth it. The 10 bucks is worth it to check it out. I think it's one-time-feet, isn't it, and if it is, it's down for it. If not that, then for Gotham, any of those. I think it's good. And Crystal Chappelle knows what she's doing. She's a powerhouse in this mainstream media. She knows exactly what to do and how to work it, so that's exactly what she needs to do. And she's doing it. She's doing it. So I invite you guys to check it out. Venice is serious.com, I believe it is. You can follow the Venice is serious on Twitter. Make sure you guys, I definitely urge you guys to check that out, so I see a lot of the people are the safe girls that are in the room right now, and all the safe girls and all the daring girls are in the room, so they're all anxious. I know you are. I know you are. Stay tight. Stay tight, my ladies. Stay tight, my ladies. You will be here rather shortly, so. And other than that, I think there's really much of anything else going on in the soap world, but that, I know that Snoop Dogg will be returning to one life to live again. And I just got that news, actually, yesterday. Snoop Dogg's returning to one life to live, and then go to A, and Laura Bonarrigo will be returning to one life to live as well as Melissa Fermiro. Other than that, I don't think there's really much of anything going on today with the last day that all my children was in the New York studios before making their transition over to the West. I do know that as, and it ain't had that special on the view today, which I did miss very upset by that. I wasn't able to see that. And up, congratulations goes up to Ariana Zuker. She had a baby girl, congratulations to her and Kyle. That's awesome. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Congratulations to that family, definitely deserves. Yeah, welcome to, welcome to Baby Girl, welcome to Baby Girl. Looking at the article now for it, actually, so I can definitely tell you what was up with it. Daddy feels a little lightheaded from what Ariana Zuker has said. So yes, parents of a little Baby Girl have no notification of a name yet. So we'll definitely find out. As soon as we find out for you, the name of the girl, we'll definitely let you know. But congratulations goes up to Ariana Zuker and family, so we'll keep you posted on that. Let's take this call right here on the leave area code 916, you're on the line right now. How are you? Up, they hung up. 916, if you can hear me, call back in again. I went to AB2 and you got disconnected. Call back in again, as soon as you're able to. So, was that anybody in the chat room, anybody with the area code of 916? If you're in the chat room and you just try to call in, call back in again, we'll definitely take your call. So definitely call back in again. Streaming video from Kendi's mom, streaming video, I could do that. I would do that, but I don't have the camera hooked up. I don't have the camera hooked up, otherwise I would stream the video, but as of late, I don't have capabilities to do streaming video, otherwise I would. I really would, but that's the way the ball bounces. I see 916, call back in, let's take that call right there, 916 area code, how are you? Hello, 916, are you there? Up there, hung up again, all right. Keep on trying, 916, so we'll definitely try to get you here, but keep on trying again. I think I heard you, but try it again, try it again, and we'll definitely get you here. Hook up the camera. I don't know, should I hook up the camera for you guys? I don't know if you want to see my face today, kind of well beat up from work today, so I don't know if you want to see my face, it might make you shut off the camera. I don't know, put it to a boat in the room, if you want me to put my camera on. If you do, I'll think about it, I'll highly think about doing it, we'll see what happens. I am not, I'm not looking, I'm one that's not shy, I can definitely test that, I am not shy, but definitely, definitely put it to a boat in the room. You want the camera, okay, we'll tell you what I'll do. Then when our guest of honor gets here, I'll hook it up, I'll hook it up, when we take her first caller that way, I'll be able to hook up everything while he's able to talk to the caller without any interference from me, and I will hook it up, and I will get the camera roll and I'm ready for you, how about, hmm, something a good idea? I hear no answers, come on, no, Galen won't be on the camera, I will be on the camera, no, no, no, let's clarify that, I'm on the camera, he's not, so that's what I'm saying, you probably won't want to see my face, still want the camera on, yes, no, maybe so, nothing, no, all right Ben, camera will not go on, thank you, thank you, thank you, I'm sorry, I'm not camera shy, but it's just like, no, my face today is not for the camera, there is no way, no way for that, I know you guys are waiting for Galen, and what happened on days today, again, I was away at work, cannot see it today, so I'm going to have to catch it up on stuff next, so it definitely did happen on the show today, nothing yet, we're waiting for that, because they're on the live, so we're going to see what went down on days today, I'm sure you, oh well, thank you, I appreciate that, I don't feel to have the moment, I actually, I really don't, I actually feel like, I'm ready to lie down on a Friday, absolutely curl up, and watch like Christmas movies, that's what I feel like doing at the moment, but I can't do that, I can't do that, having two shows on on the day, I don't think that, I don't think it's quite possible, okay, so the chat room saying about days is that Steph knows involved in the kidnapping, and Sammy is getting suckered by eating, oh, oh, oh, alright, you're probably going to hate me, but I am a Sammy, EJ fan, I really am, they got undeniable chemistry, I love you guys, I do, but I am a huge, I'm not huge, but you know what I'm coming from, I am an EJ Sammy fan, nose note, I really am, so I don't know, I don't want all you guys to like disappear now, because I'm an EJ Sammy fan, but it's true, it's true, I really do like those two together, it's along the jungle, you can't like everybody, so that's what I like, no, EJami, I don't let, I don't let my bias cloud, my judgment, let's put, I will tell it, I will tell it like this, my bias does not cloud, the judgment of the guested question, so I will definitely say that to you guys, in case you weren't aware, how about that, how about that, just because I'm an EJ fan, it doesn't cloud anything overly the same fan at all, not whatsoever, so I want to live, I want to live in unison, because you got, how about that, I want to live in unison with you guys, baby Gavin will change my mind, I'm not easily swayed by a lot of people, so he has to do some pretty good convincing to get me to change my mind, I have to do some pretty good convincing to change my mind, so, well no, we'll see what happens when we get to it, if you can change my mind, do not, but only time will tell, I will tell, well I'd like to ask you guys, while you're in the room, I'll topic, I'll topic a gate or just a quick second, since it is December, it is the 11th, there's only 14 days left until Christmas day, which means you only have 13 days left to Christmas shop, have you guys finished yet, or have you even started doing your Christmas shopping, let alone the fact getting your decorations up, end your tree, because any of you guys have done any of that because I have it, I have absolutely, I do not have my tree up, I haven't gone shopping, the only person I've shopped for so far was myself, yet no one else yet, I have not shopped for anyone else, and I have not put the decorations up outside of my house, let alone inside, and I have no tree up, so I honestly think, I honestly, I'm not ready for it, I don't think I'm ready for it, I'm a last minute person, because I'm always the one that always waits until Christmas Eve to do my shopping, that's how it's always been every year, every year I always shop Christmas Eve, I'm trying to break out of that habit, but it's a habit that is too hard to break, don't get a tree because cats are not number, I don't have pets, so I think it'll be fine, I don't have pets, so I'll be fine, but yeah, I'm thinking I better get that tree up and running, just saying, alright, Cindy myths has her tree up and decorations outside, but no presents under the tree, hmm, well alright Cindy, here's, alright, who are you, who are you shopping for? Are you shopping for just those in your family, or are you shopping for, who else are you shopping for besides yourself? Yeah, Christmas Eve shopping, it's awful, but it's the most fun, because there's this rush about getting those gifts to last minute, or getting that stuff for you at the last minute, that you just can't, that you just can't wait to do, or you just have this itch to do, I just don't know what it is, what about it, that everybody wants to shop that day, I'd always go to the mall, I'd go to the nearest mall, hey, I'd always go to this, I'd always go to the mall, Christmas Eve, get into the mall, and I would knock everybody down trying to get everything, I'd always do that, I'm one of those, I'm one of those shoppers, but if you get in my way, I will knock you down, I will elbow you, not ashamed to say, and I'm not ashamed that I do that, so, oh, they're daughters, Ari Zegruder, and Kyle Lauter's daughter's name is Isabella, nice, very, very good, so there you have it, but I kept you waiting long enough with my babble, let's bring on our guest of honor, ladies and gentlemen, he plays Raphael Hernandez on days of our lives, many fans remember him from passions as Elisa has switched Gerald, first of all, I don't even remember how I knew that whole entire name, I swear I thought I would forget, but Mr. Galen Garin is with us, how are you? I'm so good, and I'm just totally impressed by the way, seriously, how did you know? Really? Are you kidding? I know you know it, there's a thing called an internet, you're savvy. In my head I swear I thought I was going to mess it up, and I kept going, it's the least blue pen, low pencil chair, I swear I thought I was going to mess it up, but it came out on point, I was so proud of myself, it was unbelievable, so how are you doing man, we finally got you here, we finally got you here, I know, I'm so excited, sorry about the delay of all that, it's just, you know, it's difficult in life to coordinate these things at times, and thank you for your patience, I'm stoked to be here, busy, it's not just your fault, I have to be honest, I kind of forgot myself, so I'll call it a tie, yes, exactly, you forgot first, and then I forgot, I was like, crap, I can't, oh we're here now, yeah we're breaking it down now, right here, exactly, so yeah, it's good, man, just busy is all over. All hell, you know, as we go into the holiday season, we sort of, you know, got the sweeps and we've got breaks, and so everyone's, you know, big story, condensed time, and everyone's just kicking ass, and it's fun, it's good, but it's, you gotta be on point, so, so we're trying, you know, and winter's here, officially, which is nice, let's go back for me, man. For you, but not nice for me, I'm over the east coast, so I'm dealing with the cold, you're dealing with like, white. I did not know you were on the east coast, were you in New York? I'm in Jersey, actually, I'm two hours away from New York. Jersey, strong island, no. Yeah, right, the only thing that's going for us is the smell. Yeah. That's it. A friend of mine used to live in a place that used to trip me out, it was called Cherry Hill, do you know that place? I'm not far from there, dude, I'm like 40 minutes away from Cherry Hill. Okay, 'cause that place, I was just like, oh my god, it's literally like 1950s in this town, like, and yet it's an hour and change from New York, I just, it bugged me out, it was kind of wild, like, apple pie, coolin' on the windowsills, anyway, yeah. Nice. Yeah. Something I didn't know about you that I now know, that's awesome. Yeah, you know, if you ever need to, you know, see a bunch of repressed, weird white people, you go there. I get that now, it's no different. Yeah. We'll file it away. That's right. Got a chat question, acting, how skiing, how was skiing the other day? Well, man. Did you see the other day? Yeah, I was up in Mammoth, and, you know, the snow was decent, but for me, I love the mountains, just love the escapism of it, the beauty of it, it's a really special place. So, um, it was fantastic. No injuries, which is always good, too. I wouldn't ski to save my life. You could not get me out of parrot skis. What about, like, a sled? Come on, push you down the hill, you'd love it. Go downhill, go downhill on a sled. Yeah. You throw down a couple, like, you know, warm cocktails, and just go mad, you'd be screaming, you'd love it. You know. All right, get me drunk enough, and I'll probably do that. All right. I think I would. I think I would do that. Okay. See, so there's two things. You get first you go to Terry Hill, and then you've got your big sled adventure. There you go. Absolutely. So, what's happening with race right now, you know, we've got the whole Sydney Kidnaffi storyline that's going on, you know, what's happening here with Luke Happing here with the big man on campus? What's going on? Well, just still trying to find, you know, finally, kid. And trying to get answers out of people that seem like they should be a little more helpful, like EJ, for instance, and just wondering why he seems to be behaving a little bit weird right now. He seems a little suspicious, like, perhaps he knows something, but there's also his sister in law who's, uh, seems to be acting a little strange as well coming into the picture. So, you know, trying to make Sammy happy, trying to bring her kid back to her, trying to, trying to just, you know, find peace and harmony and Salem. Not an easy thing to do, who would have known? No. Yeah. Is it bad that if you usually said peace and harmony and Salem, I get to meet like a lot of harmony from passions. No, I know what's weird as I did, too, as soon as I said it, I was like, uh, yeah. That's kind of an indelible, stupid name, you know. At least we're on the same page. Yeah, exactly. I'm right there with you on that, for sure. And I was like, all right. I've got a piece of that, so, yeah. It's not just because of the fact that you have a lot of, you know, harmony, belief in Salem, like Lindsay and Eric on the campus now. That's not the reason why. No. No. Well, the funny thing is that, you know, again, I'm playing a character, although the higher echelon of law enforcement, but, um, you know, there are a lot of similar themes in terms of trying to find people who are doing bad things, and, and again, having some success, but not as much as you'd like, and, uh, you know, it's sort of, uh, like I said, there's similar themes at times to, you know, the Louis Lopez Fitzgerald, and his, uh, struggle to fight injustice and harmony. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That was, that was, that was a wicked program. I have to, I have to admit, that was wicked, wicked, uh, and that's some weird stuff going on. Yeah. I mean, doing that show, did you just go there and go, I can't believe they're having me doing this piece of, I'm not going to say the word taste. Totally. It's totally, but I will not say it. You know, like, for me at times, it was just the best, and, and then, on the other hand, it was the worst. You know, I mean, I thought some of the stuff was so clever and just on point, and then there'd be other times where I just seemed like, uh, like, you know, like, no one really cared, and so that's really hard as an actor because as an actor, I mean, at least for me, like, I want to go in there, I have a good work ethic. I, you know, I want to work hard and put as much into it as I can, but it becomes problematic when you feel like you can't make sense of what's going on or everything you felt like you've stood for as, and as this character as an actor, it suddenly doesn't make sense or has no rational approach to it. It's just, it's hard, it's frustrating. You know, I think, like, for the most part now, and one of the things I do love about this show is that there's a lot of attention to those details in terms of the individual character, how they fit in with the show, and the big picture of that, and also the small picture, like, what your relationships are, your interpersonal relationships, and they really seem to care about that stuff. And I think, ultimately, having Gary Talman here, and him being on the floor, and being able to answer questions and address things, and him just really knowing the show inside and out has helped that so much. And, you know, it's one of the reasons that I think the show is really doing well, because people here care, you know, at the bottom to top, and I think that that's made for a better show or more watchable show, and, as far as an actor's standpoint, a much more fun show to be a part of, more fulfilling than an actor. It does seem that way, from what I've seen in regards to the cast, not just on-screen, but behind scenes, it just seems like it's definitely waterable being a part of a show where it just seems like more life is being put into the show. Right. Right. When people care, you know, like people are into it, there's a lot of, you know, it's time consuming, but because of the fact that we're having fun, I think people are enjoying it. So, it's not like, "Oh God, I have to work on this." Like, "Let's do it." You know, all the actors rehearse and meet, and, you know, obviously we work at a super hectic, fast, frenetic pace, so, you know, sometimes you can't always get what you want as far as being able to do the scene again, or try a different approach, or address issues. I mean, that's the nature of the beast that we work in, but we certainly try, and I think in large part, we're succeeding. I mean, considering the pace that we're at, I think the word, we're doing an exceptional job, and, you know, that's something to single ourselves out, and pat ourselves on the back. I mean, I think soap operas in general are very difficult, and, you know, most of the actors, writers, I mean, it's a hard job to work in, and I think that, you know, just giving them props overall as well. Absolutely. We've got a question from the chat there, screening is Apple Cross, and they wanted to know, are you happy with the direction of your character? Yeah, I'm definitely happy with it, you know, it sort of goes back to what I was just talking about in terms of, you know, obviously, you know, we're in the daytime drama industry, so there's drama, and that's what makes it fun to watch, you know, characters struggling against things. I mean, that's what people love, that's human nature, so, but as far as my character goes, yeah, there's guys so much fun to play, they let him be smart and yet be silly, and, you know, I get to work with great actors on the show, and, yeah, it's a blessing, truly. You know, brothers. We got this caller, how do you send your screen in the tickets? Is that how you say it? Kiki. Kiki, okay. Yeah. All right. Can you hear me? How are you? Good. What's happening? Nothing much. Where are you calling from? Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Oh, man. Wow. Yeah. This is cool. We've got a couple cold East coasters. Yeah. It's cold here, too, actually. I mean, not, nothing, anything like that, unless no on the ground by any means, but, yeah. I just wanted to ask you one question. Okay, ask away. What is it like working with Alison Sweeney? It's great working with Alison Sweeney. She is fun, she is professional. She gets my ridiculous jokes at least half the time, and, you know, just today, I just actually, I was a little late to this interview because we were dry blocking, which is basically when we rehearse our scenes or go through them before we put them on tape. And, you know, last week, before we left, we had gone over some stuff, and she'd taken really good notes on the stuff, you know, ideas that we both had, and so was able to come back and we can actually use them now because she has a stuff written down because I'd forgotten most of the stuff that we went over, and so it was just, it's really good. I love working with her. That's nice. Yeah. Really good. Well, thanks for talking to me. Yeah. Do you like her or her character? Oh, yeah. It's my dream to meet her. Oh. Is that right? Yeah. She's a really cool person, and I hope that one day, hopefully one day, you know, you can do that. I know. I'm sure you can. Thanks so much. You're so welcome. Have a great day. Thanks so much. All right. Bye. Bye. Bye-bye. Well, before I get the next call, I wanted to bring this up to you because I definitely checked this out, and as I was saying before you got here, I think it's absolutely hot is Venice, the first episode of Venice, and I'm ready for another episode, even though we have to wait until next Friday for that to happen, but yeah, but it looks really, really good. Doesn't it? Yeah. It does, man. Yeah. Tell us about what you're playing on this. So good. Well, I play a character named Owen who, you know, obviously he has a very close relationship with his sister, Gina, who's obviously played by Crystal Shabel, and, you know, he's coming your typical out-of-work actor in L.A., who's trying to find his place, and it's having a good time doing it, and has difficult relationships with his father, and mother's not in the picture anymore, and, you know, really, like, they have a really neat relationship, which is actually very similar to the relationship that I have with my sister, which is cool, or had when we were-- Oh, good. And so there was a neat parallel that I got to draw there, and I think you'll see, you come to life as the season goes on with the show, just how these two characters support each other, and I got to tell you, it was so much fun to shoot, and some of the scenes I did, I was just like, so just really impressed and awestruck with the acting and some of the stuff that's going to be up there. It was really some of the most fun I had acting ever, really, and I'm looking forward to next season. Hopefully, everything has come together, and I got some great ideas, and the fun thing about this show, too, is that it's kind of like a madman or something like that, and it's really a slow build to it, like this sort of stuff that's just kind of bubbling under, and there's not, like, "Oh, there's a ton going on," but there really is, you know? It just kind of-- you'll see it pay off later, and that's a lot of fun, for sure. Absolutely. I mean, I've never seen anything that has kept me glued on the web, I have to clarify, on the web, like that. That's awesome. You know, you just come out with the first scene, you basically see Crystal and Jessica, and that pretty much just, like, sucks you in, I mean, how can you not be drawn into that? That was so perfect. She's a powerhouse. You know what the hell she's doing, so I am very proud. Oh, my God. Did she ever-- you know, I was so flattered because she-- originally the role of Owen was cast to-- was someone else, and I think he got a movie and so on to do it, and Crystal was here, like, one day, and we had some scenes together, scenes in which, like, basically, I wasn't even conscious, but, you know, our first scene together, she was, like, giving me mouth to mouth, and she just, like, jumped right in there, and, you know, it was just-- it was on it, but, you know, in a real professional way, but I love that, you know, some people would be, like, embarrassed, or whatever, and she's just, like, this is what we're doing, this is the scene, this is what-- you know, it was just, like, I was, like, oh, my God, I freaking love you. You know, you're just-- you're a great actor, you get in there, you know, couldn't ask for more, and, like I said, I didn't really have to do anything, but I was just so impressed by her, and what she brought to the table, and these simple scenes, and-- and then she was like, hey, I want to talk to you about this project, you know, and you, like, be into playing this guy, and I was like, yeah, sure, I didn't really-- I didn't know it was as big of a part as it turns out to be, and, you know, it worked out perfectly that it was during this week off that we had, so we shot it, and, uh, it was just-- worked out really cool, you know, and-- and I was, uh, definitely-- definitely excited, and I'm still excited to be a part of it, you know, and it's better-- way better than I expected it to be, I want to be a part of it, and then I got-- no offense, but I thought it was a big, like, little thing, it was this whole, like, great production, and it looks awesome, you know, that's cool. >> That's too funny, I will tell if you want, I will-- I will say that, uh, another question in the chat room, uh, how did you get the role of Grace, how did that come about? >> Well, our executive producer now was a-- used to be a director on Passions, so he was obviously familiar with me and my work, and, um, you know, brought me in to, uh, to meet the people here, and, um, you know, the rest is history, really, uh, I did have to audition for the part, um, which, uh, you know, which, I don't know, I guess I was kind of surprised, I mean, it's still NBC, I was on the show for, like, 10 years, you know, they would think, like, you know, um, they might just offer it, but, uh, you know, I understand, like, now, sort of, like, coming from Passions, there was so much, they confused people about the show that, I don't know if they were really able to look at it from an actor's point of view, like, sort of what we went through, some of the things that I was explaining before, and so I think that people maybe had some doubts about, you know, is that what she saw, like, when you went in and went ahead and auditioned, like, you know, because I know for most, um, from outside looking in, and that standpoint, if you've been on Passions, they would look at it and go, "This isn't really a true soap and how people like that, as an actor or an actress." Exactly, you're right, well said, so here you are coming in on this and, you know, here you are doing the day thing, Eric and Lindsay, I think you guys are great, honestly, so, thanks. Well, they've been nothing but flattering, obviously, my storylines are, you know, a large part of the show, and, uh, you know, um, they don't do that unless they, you know, they like what they see, and, um, so, obviously, hopefully, they do, and, uh, like I said, we're having a great time doing it, so, it's a win-win across the board, you know? Absolutely. Absolutely. What's the, what's the hardest part of playing Ray for you? This is from State Club. Well, the hardest part is sometimes just the dialogue is tricky, so, you know, you're, you're playing this FBI guy, you're investigating things, there's, you know, forensics and dealing with people at the Bureau, and then relaying all that information to people across the board and investigating, like those things are, they're very specific, and, uh, you know, you sort of have to nail them to make the character, obviously, believable, and it just takes time, and so, sometimes you're, like, studying, seeing, studying, and seeing, like, "Oh my God, this shit won't stick, you know, I can't, I can't remember, you know, what up," but, uh, it just, it can be time-consuming, um, and, uh, you know, again, the only other hard part, again, is, is like, when you're here late at night, like, well, we're not really here late at night, so it wasn't really fair to say, but, uh, let's say, five or six o'clock, you've had a lot of scenes, and, you know, it's exhausting, like, it's, I know it sounds weird, but, like, you'd tap your brain, you know, so you're tired, and then to have to come back early the next morning, if you have a lot of stuff, that's, that's a difficult time, but, but other than that, I'd say for the most part, I, I know the process, I know how to basically divide my time so that I can be effective, so that I can work here, and then go home, and spend time with my family, and gets, you know, go work out, or whatever, and then also study, um, so, uh, it usually works out pretty well. Absolutely, absolutely, and this, this question actually is something I actually was thinking in my head, and someone wanted me to ask it, I believe it was Apikos again, uh, do you think that the, the fan base is for Steve, E. Jammy, and, uh, there's another one that they said, do you think it's like over the top of you, or do you think it's, have you, have you noticed that, or in your own opinion? Oh, like, do you think that, like, the, the safe fans, or, like, they're outnumbering the other fans, or, or what do you mean? Yeah. So, it is, um, sort of, wait a minute. Like, something like that, uh, maybe, like, maybe they go a little bit overboard on where they should, or should not be, or the thing. Oh, do you mean, do you mean like, are they, like, overstepping bounds when they, like, root first, or the other? Yeah, uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I think it's fantastic, really, uh, and hilarious. Um, I mean, I don't think that, um, I mean, I think, ultimately, the Ray from Sammy will be together, so maybe everyone else should just, like, calm down, and, and not even try, but, you know, that's, they can, they can keep it going, it's cool, you know. Okay. I don't prefer grudging. Uh, you know, I think it's great, you know, obviously, one of the things a producer told me before was that they want people split, you know, they want people, no, she should be with so-and-so, or she should be with so-and-so, like, that's what gets people talking, and that's what gets people excited, that, you know, they want, they encourage that. So, you know, thank God they're, uh, obviously, thank God there are people who want Sammy and Ray together, and there are people that want Sammy and Ian J together, and there are people that want Sammy and Lucas together, you know, I think it's great, uh, people are still rooting for all these characters, and, um, you know, without that, you'd have no fight, so in other words, without the fight, you wouldn't have the drama, and without the drama, you wouldn't have a show, so- That's what gets boring. And, uh, no, I mean, it's, yeah, of course we'll get boring, but, um, so far, like, you know, if people were, like, finding out where I lived and throwing toilet paper on my trees and peeing on my car, and, you know, just thought, it's a little delicious stuff like that, I'd be like, "All right, you people need to calm down, okay, it's a TV show, like chill." But, uh, that hasn't happened yet, you know? Um, I will say this, however, when I was on passions before, people were so crazy, like, they wanted to, like, kill the best character, right, for, like, you know, they had Sheridan in the basement or something at one point, and they were, like, really, some of the fans were, like, super over the top, like, like, some of them were, like, as nutty as the writer, or whoever, you know, like, and there was a parade, they wanted us to, like, Hollywood Christmas parade, and she wanted to, like, come along in the car, and I was, like, "I don't know if you should be doing a parade, you know, like, uh, you might get something wrong at you," or, I don't know, I was kind of concerned for her, actually, but, uh, the best character, right, but other than that, I don't know, they're, they're, they're, they love it, you know, but they're so far harmless, keep it that way, yeah. That's true, that's true. All in good fun. All in good fun indeed, Eric in 617, you're on the line, how are you? What's your name, where are you calling from? Are you there? Or just don't answer, and leave me alone. And that's fine, that's fine, that's fine, that's fine, that's fine, I completely understand, that's okay. Yeah, uh, they want you to give a shout out, uh, to Christina, today is apparently her birthday. To Christina, uh, happy birthday, Christina, how all the way today? Yes. I made this to polite to ask a woman her age, right? I, I just know it's impolite to ask any woman's age. Right, so well, we'll just leave it at that then, happy birthday, and, uh... But they did answer, they said they're 17, so I guess that's good. Oh yeah, if you're under like 35, it's cool, or 21, something like that. Somewhere in that, in that age range, I think we're cool, we're good. Yeah, yeah. We're good. Okay, this is a question that Pete's my interest, uh, this, this question came from, uh, Brian, uh, he was a, he was a passion strand, and he wanted to know if you kept in touch with Jesse Metcalf. I heard that was asked before, uh, uh, if you still kept in touch with Jesse Metcalf, do you want to know if he kept in touch with Jesse Metcalf? Yeah, sure, I've seen him every once in a while, um, yeah, we get to go, play basketball, and, uh, just hang out a little bit, so yeah, I see him every once in a while, sure. Okay, very good. Brian, did you listen? There you are. There you go. There you go. And they all want you to get back on Twitter. They're clamoring to get you back on Twitter and tweet more often. Okay. We'll do that then. Oh, please, we've got your beat. Oh, she's got anyone beat, are you kidding me? She's got like, uh, Twitter implanted devices, like, I don't know, somewhere on her brain. Her body. I have no idea where, but she's insane with it. Yeah. Everybody in the chat room said that you need to tweet more. I know. I completely forgot you had one until they said it. Oh, no, that's bad. Yeah. I guess. I don't know. Strange error. We live in. I don't know. It happens, dude. It happens. I don't feel like, you know, like my life's not exciting that I need to report on everything that I'm doing, but, you know, I'll definitely try. I guess I do lead pretty exciting life. I don't know. Do you check out the, uh, the state videos that they make on YouTube? Have you ever seen those? Yeah. That's pretty amazing, actually. I'm usually astounded by the, uh, the technological expertise that some of these people have, actually. It's pretty, pretty solid, you know, like, especially because I went to film school and I was like, pay thousands of dollars to learn this stuff. I don't know who these people are, but, uh, yeah, they're cool. And somehow they managed to outshine you. Is that correct? No, I didn't say that. I wasn't putting words into your mouth. Okay. Okay. No, but they're good. I probably was. I probably was. Maybe. Eric said we're brutally honest here. So I'm just. That's cool. This day. This day. The, the, the safe sense that you penguins on being told they sent you penguins. Did you like the penguins? They sent you. Yeah. The penguins are still, there's the prominent fixtures in both our dressing rooms and our executive producer has one in his office and there's one more, let me see. I don't know why the far, I can't remember where the fourth one is, but yeah, they're awesome. Thanks. Awesome. Let's talk about them today. Oh. On the show. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Do you hear that? That's pretty cool. And do you have anything besides doing days and doing events? Do you have anything else that's I probably, that you are working on or probably going to work on it? You don't know about that you can say. Right now. No. But the good news is that we got all this time next year, it's like 16 weeks, you know, we have off so, you know, hopefully some good will come up and, oh wow, James is freaking out. I think he's done. Yeah. So right now we're just, I mean, actually, no, there is one thing that I'm doing. We're working on our Christmas real project. So we're making this kind of like viral videos that we're going to show at our launch that we host for all the cast and crew. So yeah. I don't know if that really counts. It's probably not what you meant, but. I did it counts. Okay. Cool. Okay. Cool. Think it does. Yeah. So. And will race ever punch EJ out. I don't know. Look, I don't know. You guys, if you will actually get to do that, if he does, I bet, yes, I would say more than likely. Really? Yes. Really? That's going to happen? Yeah. I was seriously going to think of it. Yes. Definitely. Knowing what I know, what happens with the story like in like a few months, I would say yeah, there's definitely, you know, there's a reason that's why he hasn't so far, but I think knowing what I know about what happens, yeah, he's going to want to kill him for sure. Okay. Yeah. And what, and this is for me, actually, and what do you think, because from earlier you had said that race is kind of acting weird and everything, and then from what I've been saying, there are some things that we don't know about, right, that have yet to surface. What do you think, or what would you like to see for this character that we haven't seen already? You mean about his past? Yeah. Uh-huh. Well, there are definitely some secrets that the guys got, and I don't think that, you know, a recent memory, anyway, he did anything malicious, intentionally trying to hurt anybody. Now, that's not to say that that didn't happen, and that somehow, for whatever reason, there was some stuff covered up, but ultimately, this is a good guy who may have done some bad things for the right reasons. Oh, okay. You know what I mean? How about that? Uh-huh. But we'll see how much of that surfaces, I mean, ultimately, I think he wants to keep that stuff a secret, but we'll see what happens. Definitely. Let's see what happens. And before we sign off here, I would love you to do a promo for us before you go. Oh, okay. Sure.
