This is Blake Lewis, you know what I mean? The buzz rate rate rate radio. Buzz. Buzz. What were the radio? More than everybody, welcome to another new edition of Buzzworthy Radio. I'm your host, Novell J. Lee, coming to you live this morning. It is five after ten in the morning here on the east coast on this Thursday, November. Oh my goodness. Wow! November 5th, 2009. I can't believe I forgot the date already. November 5th, 2009. We're going to be joined in about less than five minutes. We're going to be joined by community star, Danny Judy. He plays the role of a bed of pop culture junkie on the show. So we're going to be talking about his role on that wonderful comedy show that actually airs tonight at ATM Eastern on NBC. And for those of you who did not get a chance to listen to last night's show, last night we celebrated our two-year anniversary with special guest John Driscoll. He made a nice little appearance on our show for the seventh time, being part of the, being part of the campus. You know, we always appreciate him being on our show. So it was wonderful for him to share in the two years that we've made it onto this network here. Yeah, you know, I just have nothing like good, wonderful things to say about him as well as the show itself, too. I don't think that we would still be doing this if it weren't for you guys. So, yeah, if you guys want to check out the discussion we have is in as well as hearing some of our favorite moments from the show, you can definitely download the archives on the website about talkradio.com/buzzworthyradio. So, yeah, dude, check it out. It was a wonderful two-hour segment. And I think it went very well without a hitch. So, yeah, I think you should definitely check it out. It was wonderful. I hope we're on for two more years and keep the flow going, but we'll see where it takes us. If it takes us to another two years, if it takes us to another two weeks, if it takes us to another two days even, I'm all for it. Absolutely. I don't think the show for granted and, you know, the possibility of it ending tomorrow was in effect. And yeah, it would be like, it was the greatest few years of my life. It was a wonderful experience. It got me to go out and travel across the U.S. to a lot of events and meet tons and tons of people interacting with them. So, yeah, it took me a long time to watch the show on another level than before. And it was a great run. You know, that's what I would say is it ended tomorrow. But, you know, here's to hoping that we're here for another two years and more. So, I raised my glass of Kool-Aid to you, Buzzworthy Radio, for putting everything into perspective of what we do here on the show. It's been a wild ride and hopefully the ride continues. So, yeah, absolutely check that show out. Hopefully we have some more shows up and coming. I was supposed to attend the day-to-day event on Saturday, but something did come up here on the side on the East Coast. And it is going to cause me to not attend this event. So, everybody who is going to check out day-to-day at Universal City Walk is this Saturday, November 7th, starting at 10 a.m. over there on Pacific Coast time. You definitely check it out. Take a lot. The pictures were me. Say, "Hey, did everybody want me?" But, yes, I will not be able to make an incident this year. So, hopefully next year it will happen. But at this point right now, what's going on over here on my side, it's something that seriously just came up and I will not be able to make it in attendance. But I will be back in California again the week of the 27th. Actually, I fly out to California on the 27th of this month. The day after Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving I will be back in California for a few days for the Hollywood parade that is produced by ATI. I will be attending that which will be taking place on the 29th of November, but will air on December 10th at 8 p.m. online network TV. So, yeah, absolutely check out that. I will be there in attendance for that. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody who is going to be there for this event. So, hopefully I will get to see familiar and some new faces for this. So, I'm definitely looking forward to spending some time out in California again before the Christmas holiday season. And before I head back there again within the new year, so I'm definitely looking forward to that. So, hopefully it will be a wild ride out there too. And I have no idea what's in store for me when I do this event. So, I'll be just as shocked as everybody else is when I get there. So, the list has not come out yet. Who's going to be in attendance yet? As soon as it does, I will let you all know exactly who will be at the Hollywood parade. So, on the best point, keep you posted. Always check out the Twitter and the Facebook fan page on our website at www.bowsworthyradio.net. So, yeah, absolutely check that out. And by the way, I know that we are also supposed to schedule Billy Miller last night for our anniversary show, but it looked like he didn't make it. And we did catch up after the show was over, so don't worry you guys. We're definitely going to get him back here for you. You know, it just happens. But, you know, we did any contact. So, hopefully we'll get him back on here again as soon as we can. So, make sure you guys check out for updates on that. But I did hear from him after the show was over. So, yeah, we did talk. So, we're looking at having him on again very, very shortly. So, hopefully that happens. And I haven't forgotten about Lisa Lowe's Cicero. I have been working on getting her back for a comeback because it's to finish out what happened before when the show cut out. So, definitely stay tuned for those as well. So, hopefully we'll get all those situated and not keep you on your toes very much longer. But, yeah, absolutely. We'll definitely keep you posted on that. So, anyway, also, I'm trying to think of what other news items are about there. Oh, yes, this Friday, the online media visit at days. Yeah, for those of you who are going to be in attendance for that, please, please, please take a moment to note. We definitely want to know what's coming up on days and what you're going to see on the set. I've never been to a set visit before yet, and this will have been my first one. And I would love to find out exactly what's going on on the set of days we're live. So, yeah, absolutely. Make sure you take notice of people like Zotan USA, Dave's Cafe. We Love Soaks will be there. So, always check out their site too. Love prospering these guys. And We Love Soaks is one of my favorites and also my friends that do this game in Jacob's Raj Nukem. That represent We Love Soaks. It's a wonderful website. Wonderful website. So, make sure you guys check out WeLoveSoaks.net. But right now, we are joined by Community Star. Oh, goodness. If I mess up your last name, please, correct me. Danny Putty. You were close. Danny Putty. Putty. That's okay though. Everyone's pronouncing my name wrong. I don't mind it because, you know, it's a fun icebreaker, you know, when Chevy Chase calls me Puda. So, I'll take it. Puda. Well, I guess I guess a good name because everybody messes up my first name. My name is Novell. But then I get, you know, on purpose, people call me nasal, novel, you know, I give them all. And the worst one was Darnell. I'm like, how did you get Darnell? I don't even have a D in my first name. How did you get Darnell? Somebody wanted to picture you as an ex-boyfriend. That's what happened. Oh, I see. Orange. I'm gonna call you Orange. Orange. Okay. Oh, that one. My favorite. I like that. I'll go with that one. I think that's good. Let's do it Darnell. I liked orange better. Oh, man. What an icebreaker. How to start that off with you. I like it. You got it. So, let's describe your character for us on community. Who is your character? What did you do? Sure. So, I play Obed. Obed Nadir, who is a student at Greendale Community College. And Obed is one of the band of Misfits in the study group led by Joel McHale's character, Jeff Winger. Jeff Winger plays an attorney to law who goes back to community college, forms the study group. And I'm kind of the, I don't know how you call him, maybe geeky. He doesn't have a great filter, speaks quickly, a lot of pop cultural references, but eager to connect with people. And in certain ways, I'm kind of like Morgan Freeman's character on Shawshank Redemption. I get you things when you need them. I'm at Greendale's campus, and it's a very fun character for me to play. Obed is gonna study film at Greendale Community College. Absolutely. Absolutely. And I gotta ask, what's it like working with Joel McHale and Chevy Chase, two comedic power houses to work with that they gotta keep you on your toes too? Yeah, they do. It's great. And it's cool working with two people who are very different, you know. And Joel is like, you know, the current, you know, I admire him so much because of everything he does, all the stand up and the soup. And he's a great person, a hilarious actor, amazing actor. And then I got Chevy Chase here, who was somebody I grew up with, you know, watching and seeing someone like that and watching them both interact and watching everyone play off each other. It's just fun to see how comedy works from different perspectives, you know. And they're both very tall too. So we have a pretty tall cast. I think Chevy Chase 6'3, Joel McHale 6'4, yesterday they were both kind of throwing me around a little bit. So that was kind of fun to do, just to work with people who are taller than me. Because I feel like I'm a pretty tall guy. I'm six foot. But I don't have a mask that these guys do. These guys are mad. Chevy Chase was making fun of me yesterday because I can't grow a beard. That's not necessarily not a bad thing. I agree. I agree. I think my wife actually doesn't mind it, you know. But there is something about being able to grow a beard to be like, you know, because it is kind of turning into that winter season. And this is like perfect beard time, you know. Like you want to grow a beard, you want to wake up a little bit later, you want to have a cup of coffee and walk around and complain about stuff. And I can do the coffee and complaining, but I can't grow a beard. And so I end up looking like a 15 year old with who's drinking coffee. Now that's also not a bad thing either. Look, younger than you are, you want to worry about getting Botox. I give that true. Well, who knows though? I feel like one of these days, everything is going to hit me. My weight, my age, all of a sudden, you know. No amount of fish oil in the world is going to be able to stop it. No, it won't. I try, dude. It's not cutting it. And I have the beard year-round. So really? Really? Yeah. Yeah. I don't shave it off. It makes my face less proportion than what it is. So I kind of don't want to point out the imperfections. So I keep the beard. I don't shave it off. Do you have any perks though to respect you more when you walk down the street or into stores? They say I look more mature for my age. I'm 24 and that's what I get. That's good. I guess that's good. I don't know man. That just makes me feel sad in a way because it's like, really? Hey, there's something kind of good. There's something to be said about street respect because, you know, I don't get a lot of that, you know, from strangers. You know, everyone is like, oh, you're cute or, you know, something like that or, you know, that kind of stuff, which is fun. But every once in a while, it would be nice to be considered as a rugged man, you know? A rugged man. You know, I don't get described very often as rugged. Quarky? I get quirky a lot more per capita than rugged. You can't get rugged unless you have a beard. Otherwise, you will get called quirky, nerdy, you know, all that good stuff. That's true. There's not a lot of quirky and rugged at the same sentence. No, no, not really. Not in this day and age anymore, but, you know, time can change. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see. But I hear you have a movie that's coming out direct to DVD, Road Trip to Beer Pong. You're going to be in that. I heard it correct. It just came out. You can find it at, excuse me, I'm trying to thank you. Probably Blackbuster, you know, Netflix, Amazon, I bet. Any store, really. I'm a Road Trip beer pong. That was a fun thing to play. I played the son of a dictator. Who takes these guys on their journey, which is this beer pong tournament, which includes, you know, pit stops along the way where we have to meet up with some beer pong models. That was a lot of fun to play. We shot that in Atlanta last year, actually. Yeah, Road Trip Beer Pong is equal. DJ Qualls makes an appearance back in this one, so that was also great to be like, "Okay, there is one man skinnier than me in this country." Yes, yeah, I'm a sick man myself, but I don't know, though. I don't think I'm a skinny as you, so I think I might have a little bit more weight. I'm sure. I'm sure you're doing. With the beer, that's probably another two pounds, so. Yeah, that's one of them. You don't have to rub an egg. I know what I'm working with. And, you know, this is actually an okay time for me. One 50 is a six. It's really good, actually. I'm not even close to that. I'm not even going to talk about it. It's embarrassing. I'm an embarrassment. If someone just poked you, you'd break. Is that it? I guess I'm pretty fragile, but I don't feel fragile. You know what I mean? When I walk around, I feel pretty strong. But that being said, if something hit me, I would probably go down immediately. That's bad. That's bad. Everybody, check out Community Tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern on NBC. Check out full episode on NBC.com. If you don't, Joel McHale will turn at you and tell you that you need to watch it or else. Danny Pootie! That's right. Thank you so much. All right. See you later, Naval, or Darnell? See you later. Oh, man. I love it. Love it. That guy is awesome. Hopefully, we'll get him back here next time, and it'll be definitely full-length one for you guys. Great guy. Great guy. Check him out as Abed on Community, which airs every Thursday night on NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern time. So check that out. But for now, I'm signing off. I will keep you posted on when we would die for the brand-new show. Gail and Garing will be coming up making an appearance on the program. So I'll let you know exactly when that's going to take place, but for now, I'm signing off. This is Involve JB, making sure you guys get the latest buzz with Buzzworthy Radio.
