I'm the VLJ Lee host of Buzzworthy Radio on this Tuesday, October 13, 2009. It is 10.30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 7.30 p.m. visit because time you're on balltalkradio.com. We are joined by a fabulous guest tonight. I'm not good at branding, I'm not good like Joanne with the speeches, you know. I try, but then I do like the epic fail thing. So I'm pretty much going to come out and pretty much say that she's hot, she's on fire. We first saw her as Jocelyn on Loving and the City on ABC. She then went over to One Life Live, and now she is heating up our screens as Olivia on ABC Daytime's General Hospital, but she also got added to her effective first co-star as well, Brandon Barras as Johnny Zakara. So, yeah, that's what I'm talking about. All you joluvius fans out there, getting on the action here tonight with our special guest, Lisa Los Cicero. How are you? Am I on? Can you hear me? I can't hear you. Can everybody else hear me? I think everybody else can't hear you too. I think my folks are listening too, which I told them that, you know, I'm not good at the other show. I know, I know we're all the bad language comes out, but you know what? What I know they're thinking about right now is the time that when we were kids that we called in when the Bay City rollers were on the radio, and I talked to the Bay City rollers on the radio when I was a kid, and I was so nervous that I couldn't speak. It's not a great story, but it did happen. It is. Oh my goodness. It's a little bit of a time capsule, that's all I'm saying. Oh my goodness. That's my version of understanding sometimes when people call and they're like, "Oh my gosh, I don't know what to say." So, like, I get it. It sounds like me talking to the Bay City rollers when I was a kid. I'm a fan. It happens to everybody. Oh, we're doing good. And I've got to say now, I feel like I'm going to have to watch what's going to come out of my mouth now because you're folks are there. No, no, no, no. They're saucy. My mom and dad, they can handle it. I should watch what I say out of my mouth, but I probably won't. They understand. They understand. No. Okay. Okay. Like I said, I don't know how that intro was. Like I said, I'm not good. I'm not good at that thought. I was flattered, Navell. So, whatever it was you said, it worked for me. Oh, good. Oh, good. Good, good. I'm glad I'm glad. Oh, thank you very much. I also have my co-host here. His name is Matthew. I'd like to introduce you to him, Matthew. Yeah, you. Hello. How do you do? Hey. What's going on? I'm just sitting here talking to you. My dogs are wrestling in the bedroom rug, and I'm just talking to you guys. They're very nice. I want to give a shout-out to Lisa Terence. What up, Lisa Terence? How are you? [laughter] Awesome. Bobbi and Vince. Whoo-hoo. Bobbi and Vince. Bobbi and Vince. All right. Nice. So I had to, you know, when you were on, you were on "Startish Radio." I called into that show. I had to emphasize, again, that the hottest thing on Capitol for this point for me to watch is "Jillivia." Oh, that's nice. I, I, I, I think that's the only reason why I'm tuning in. Is that sad to say? Is that bad to say? Am I? No. I mean, everyone, everyone, no. No, I mean, it's, like I said, again, it's certainly flattering to me. But, you know, I, I, I love to hear people love what we're doing. You know, it, it sort of makes the end of the day seem right when you, when you go home and you're tired. Like, well, someone out there is going to enjoy watching it, I hope. That's nice. That's nice. I mean, and, you know, I, I know how this is the soap. Everyone has their own sort of storylines and couples and characters that they like and, I don't know. I know they, they've been, they have been working me like crazy. I know if you, if it's not a good time on General Hospital, if, if Olivia is your least favorite character right now, I get it. I, like, believe me. I, I get it. If you don't like Olivia and you're a fan of General Hospital, I get it. You're pissed off. You get it. It's, it's just funny you're saying that because I, you know, I'm, I'm seeing all these tweets like everywhere about this. And you're like, when is this character leading the show because they don't want funny? And Olivia, I'm like, uh, she's not writing the show. She's not writing the show. She's playing a character. That's it. Well, I mean, you know, and I, and I, and I, and I'm sure, like, I, I never know with, with the, with the tweet thing. Like, I, I only get some of the tweets. I don't even know how the whole damn thing works. Sometimes I'm like, people are like, I read the tweets and don't mind the haters. And I'm like, don't mind the haters. I don't know what they're saying. Like, someone has to fill me in on, on, like, exactly what, I mean, there was the one lady that went to Zerk. I'm like, after that last radio interview. And maybe I need to clarify what the situation was with the conversation between me and Maurice regarding Sonny hitting Olivia. I do not condone violence against women. I don't think Sonny should hit anyone or shit. We were having a conversation when we shot the scene on the jettie doc or whatever it was, and Olivia talks about how there was that time when she punched Sonny in the stomach. And she sort of knew it was going to make him mad enough. She almost wanted him to hit her back when she was a kid. I, I always assumed that that was like, when she'd found out she was pregnant. And she like, wanted an excuse to really walk away from him, you know? She hit him and she says, I thought you were going to hit me back, but you turned to stone and you just, like, walked away. And we had a long, me and Maurice had a long conversation. After that scene about, like, well, like, what, is that, that's often, you know, in soap writing, that's often foreshadowing for, oh, shit, it's like, son, he's going to hit. Is that going to happen? Is that what, is that what they're doing here? Is that what this scene was about? Foreshadowing that kind of a thing. And I'm like, has touched me up to speed, has Sonny ever done this before? He said, well, he almost did. When the Brenda wire thing, but they changed it to, you know, he kind of chokes or strangles or kind of thing. But no, he never, he never has actually hit a woman. Because that's like his epic struggle, obviously, because it's his father and all of that stuff. That's like, in his mind, kind of worth, then, I mean, let's face it, the dude kills people. So it's not, you know what I mean? It's like, and it was sort of interesting to me that people were just like, don't ever say that it's like, like, he does, like, he shoots people. He kills, I mean, he'll love you, watch him shoot the dude and, like, spin on his body. So it's not like he's a guy that has, you know, great impulse control. Or, you know what I mean? Right. But that's, that's why you love it. That, that's part of the, what it is to love Sonny is that you have to understand the struggle between the, the, the, the good and the bad that lives in him. If you, if you're not going to get behind that, then, then there's no way that character is going to work for you. And that's such a-- That's not a reason to get behind it at all. Well, I mean, and, and you know, what a testament to Maurice, that this many years he's playing a character that so many people are rooting for, and the character is, is a deeply flawed man, you know? But we all love him because of Maurice's charisma and because of what Maurice brings to it and all of that stuff. Or else you couldn't, you just, you, as a character, you just couldn't get away with this stuff that Sonny gets away with and has people still loving him. You know. Definitely. Definitely complex. At least I take you back a blast from the past. Recently, I was able to log on to YouTube and, lucky enough, I don't even know who it is. Somebody's been posting the, like, really old "The City" episodes. And I have to say, your character has been through, went through so much on the show. She was stuck through it, elevator shafts, whenever I saw that, by the way, even though it went a little bit of the screen. Yeah, well, it was not even-- I saw that live, dude. I mean-- What do you mean live? You were there when we did it? You saw that live. It was fun. TV on TV on TV on TV. Oh, oh, oh, oh. I was like, "Navell, you were in the studio? I didn't know." No, that was actually, oh wait, I wasn't an elevator. Yeah. With Randy. But, but that time when I'm, like, pounding out. Yeah. The thing, like, helped me, helped me. Yeah. That was actually the math-trader. Whoa. Dry-walled me in behind me. Dry-walled. That's right. That's right. He took you on a rooftop and, like, all of that was, like, it was so, I mean, like, it looked so real, first off. And it might be, like, a testament to all your acting. But I was really, like, your character's gone through a lot on the show. She, she went through a lot on that. That, that, the whole thing, Dry-walled in the wall, I, yeah, that, she was supposed to be claustrophobic was the problem. Kind of, like, Sonny's claustrophobic. Oh, I never made that. Yeah. Sonny's claustrophobic is claustrophobic. Yeah. My, my, uh, motivation for that was, like, I pretended that they were tarantulas in there with me. And that was, that was my motivation. I believe this. Like, I mean, and that was, like, what helped me really, like, freak, freak out. Just freak out. And then the roof thing, when she's had me on the roof, can I just tell you? That, that, that we were on a very tall building with, like, a, like a, how many, like, a three- or four-story drop to the next level. And there was, like, a, a, a, a scaffolding with a stuntman standing there. Like, and we were both going, like, is this, like, if we fell, is that guy going to, what, like, fly out and catch us? Like, what, what? We were just sort of, like, doing that and we're like, well, I guess they set action so we should just climb up there and do it. But it was, we were, like, I don't know. Oh, well. Oh, well, they said to do it. Here we go. But it was, that was quite, I mean, we were legitimately terrified is what I'm saying. So, we didn't have to pretend. Yeah. Those were, those were, those were fun times. And, and more, right. With their curly hair and her. You guys were friends on the show. You go from being friends on that show to sort of being in this one. I mean, no, no, no. We're friends. We're friends on the show. Friends now. We're friends now. I mean, we may, we may have some issues coming up in the, in the near future. Carly. Come on. You got to tell you. How's that? How was, which was? The past. You got to go to the past. And we were, and we were roommates in real life at that time too. Nice. How fun is that? Yeah. Those were, those were fun days to be in your 20s and living in New York with a good job as an actor is pretty rare and excellent. Yeah. It was, it was definitely, it was definitely a show that didn't get enough, uh, praise and attention, I think, because it was, again, like I mentioned to you before, it was a show that was above its time at the time. I mean, it was 90, 95, 96. Yeah. Great. I agree. I, I agree. I mean, and there were some of the storylines were out there. I mean, there was the, the, the transgender person, the, and the, and the, and the, what? I mean, people were like, what? Yeah. And they, they weren't, they didn't, they didn't go for that. And not also the look of the show. Just, it wasn't unusual. And I don't know. It might work now. I think you asked me that before. It might, it might work now if someone tried to do that with a, with a soul. Who knows? I don't think that anyone's real interested in tremendous risk taking right now. You can put that out there. The whole let's try something new might not, might not be the time. I don't know. Well, maybe it is exactly the time. I don't, I don't know. I'm, I'm not a producer for a reason, so. I, I totally thought of that. Same question today. I was in the shower. After the mid. Oh, like, could, could this show, could that, could that style of shooting work now? Exactly. I was like, like, transferring my hair thinking, you know, can they really do another, like, a new soap opera just kind of like the city, like, can you do it? Could you do it? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. And that is the oddest time for you to think of that too, really. When you're sampling your hair, it's true. Exactly right. You're thinking, you were like thinking a Morgan Fairchild and then you're just like, oh, I wonder if this is a kind of comeback. Maybe. Yes, as I'm putting herbal essences in my hair. And then they told two friends and so on and so on and so on. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. I'll tell you what, man. That's just so funny. And, you know, your fans are like absolutely. Fishing the talk to you. Oh, good. Well, you got, before you got here, my switchboard was already flooded enough with callers as it was. Oh, nice. Oh, and they're coming out of here out of the woodwork ready to talk to you. Let's start raking them in right now. I hope it's not the mad lady who thinks I want to get Maurice kicked off the show as if I could or would want to. Well, if it is, and if she's on the line right now, I'm going to pretty much put it out there. If you do anything to upset my guests or upset me, I will dump your call. That's pretty much real rolling on the show. I'm a tough kid. It's okay. It's okay. I understand. But I understand this. Whatever. Don't worry about it. All right, we got a, we got a speaking of New York. We actually got a New Yorker on the line. Hi. Hi. Wow. How are you? Hello. New York, New York. You're on the line. 6'4". Hi. Sorry. I was reading over to the Twitter thing and I wanted to say like that. I really, really love you. I love the chemistry that you have both with Tony and, and with Johnny. I must say, I'm more like Stolivia than Jorivia. I love Jorivia at the beginning because I think that they were like a cute fling and everything, not so much for the cheesy part recently. I think Livia would be such a great match for Sonny. Thank you. We'll see. But my question is regarding what you have to play. Is there anything regarding Livia that you as Liza would rather be? Would rather that would have done differently. I don't know regarding, I don't know what the choice he made for Dante or what she. Oh, you mean, you mean character? What do you mean like as an actor? You mean Liza having to play Olivia and knowing Olivia like nobody else. Is there anything you would have done differently? Well, I mean, me and Liza, that's a really good question. I mean, I, I had a long conversation with, with Elizabeth Cordy, one of the writers recently, to sort of get clear because I always feel like it's sort of my job to get behind what their motivation for the character is so that, then that sort of through line can go. I mean, and she was very clear that, that, that, that, that, that Olivia is doing everything for Dante. She, she gets a lot of, I mean, I don't know that these things have aired yet, but she's going to, she gets a lot of accusations. Kate gets in her face and says, you know, you are so selfish that you're doing this. And that you're keeping them apart. And, and, and I, and I went to the writer, I'm like, is this, is, is that accurate from your mind? And I said, absolutely not. Not, I mean, for one thing, Sonny is a wild card. For him to find out this kind of stuff, it, you know, it might end up like a Disney cartoon, or he might just like cap us both in the head. You know, you don't, you don't really know what he's going to do. And, and also more to the point, it would destroy Dante emotionally, so much for him to know that that was his father. It will. I mean, obviously the secret at some point is going to come out or there wouldn't be a secret, but I, what I do, anything different if I was Olivia, I, I don't know that. I mean, honestly, I'm not a mom, so that's why I was thinking about that, which is what would have been your choice. And for me, it's clear that Olivia is protecting Dante and I don't understand some of the critics about it, but. Ah, yeah, yeah, thank you. I mean, I know it, it, it gets, I mean, because the web is so tangled now and that it, it's hard to see which choice would be the more, the, the more dangerous for her to make in terms of protect. That's what she was saying in the church was like, if I do this, it could kill him. If I do that, it could kill him. If I do nothing, it could kill him too. You know, can she, really, can she trust Johnny? Could she just tell, could she tell Johnny? Could she just tell Dante? What should she do? It's sort of. Yeah, you're a difficult position, but personally, as long as he, he hands with Sonny, that would be delighted, so. Ah, yeah, it's, it's a hard thing. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I really like Johnny, but I think, like, seeing him, like, cry and beg all that, I think Sonny is more a man for her. I see. I see. I see. I, I get it. I mean, we've really matched for him, so. We've been, you know, with the last, the last couple days, I didn't see the air show today. But it was, it was really fun. Was it what? Yeah, it was really fun. It was a fun that is out today. Oh, it was a fun episode. I didn't see. That's, that's very good. Uh, like Monday and, and like the, the, I mean, that was, I, I'm, I'm going to be, I don't know if this is like a proper euphemism of, but, I mean, I get it like the bar crying music was pure old fashioned, like, so be, and you don't know when you're playing those scenes like all I could think of is, you know, she, she can't cry in front of him and, and to trying to not cry in front of him and then, and then you go out in the scenes that follow are up at this like level 13 upsetness, the scenes that aired on Monday and, and, and, and, and since there's a weekend's worth of time in between, what shows up is you just sort of like marching out of the bar on Monday, like hyperventilating and, and, and, you know, holding your chest and it, and it, even as an audience, and I was, I was there shooting this thing obviously. I'm looking at it like, boy, that seems a little, seems a little over the top of you. Maybe you need to, you know, not be a drink, but, but when you're there and you're coming right from what you did, you know, as before it, I don't know, somehow viscerally it makes sense when you're doing it, but when you see it chopped up somehow, I, it, it doesn't always look like what you thought it was. I don't know how to put it. Yes. Your reaction was for me, okay. It was more Johnny. I think Brandon's singing was amazing. Yeah. But to see like a mobster singing for me, what kind of disturbing. I see. I see. And you more like the, you're more like, I, you like the, the, the manly version of it. Yeah. I'm more perhaps this type. So I don't know about that. I see. That's adorable. But he has more sunny as a match for Olivia, even if I really, really loved the beginning of Jolie's year when it was like just fun, nothing serious, just a thing. They were having a good time. And that was okay. I think now it's a little bit too cheesy for me and I don't live here a real man. I think Johnny is still a little bit young. I get it. No, I, I get it. I get it. I mean, I. I am my humble point of view. Oh, no, no, I, I accept. I really love Jolie here and we'll see what happens better. Well, I mean, I would, I would say that at least, I don't think this is too much of a spoiler to say, at least that I will imagine, I would imagine that Sunny and Olivia will be closer before the secret comes out or else there's not much of an impact to the secret coming out. Do you think that if there was no more attraction because now she seems to be very convincing when she says she's in love with Johnny, like in the carnival, she was almost kissing Sunny because he's so attractive. Well, they're very, they're, they're very clear with us that there is whatever else Olivia may ever feel for anybody for the rest of her life, there's, there's that first hole towards Sunny that she, even though she doesn't, and that's a thing, like she doesn't want to feel that for Sunny, that's, that's the central thing because people, I know that people get pissed and they're like, she's going to break Johnny's heart and she's telling him she loves him when what she really, she really knows she's in love with Sunny. She's like, she wants so badly to not feel those feelings for Sunny more than anything in the world. She spent her whole life trying to not be attracted to Sunny and she's done a pretty good job of it. It's very difficult. I mean, the dimples and the silky shirts, you hold you too long, but yeah, that was my question and thank you very much for answering it. So, thank you so much. Thank you so much. Okay. Bye bye. I think she was, I want to say she's French, she kind of sounded French, like, oh for sure. She pretty much said, like, why everything a woman in Port Charles is attracted to Sunny. It's the dimples and the, it's the dimples and the button-down shirt, that's it. Right, and, and when she was saying it, it was perfect because she's French, so it's like the, the, the adorable accent made it even, it made it even more perfect when she said it. I want to have her and my spokesperson. But, hello? Yeah, right. All right. For, for, for your point of view, who you think that Olivia should be with Johnny, Sunny, in your opinion? I mean, not, it, it depends, I mean, I'm, no, that's, that's an impossible question. I mean, obviously, I mean, Johnny's probably a healthy or he probably long term. I, I'm, I'm just, I don't, I, it's an impossible question to ask. I, they both, they both pose different problems. Johnny is probably slightly, I, I, I want to say healthier, but there's a lot about him that obviously isn't healthy, that Olivia doesn't even, Olivia never saw that Johnny jumping off buildings guy, you know what I mean? She doesn't, she doesn't even know, but, but she refers to him being reckless and whatever. But I mean, he has slightly less baggage than Sunny in a certain sense of, you know, he doesn't have as much of the weight of the world on him as Sunny, but obviously with Sunny, they have this amazing history and these tremendous, which, which does mean something and which, which you know as you, as you get older, there's those people that you knew from the time that you were in second grade, you know, and you don't have to say anything because you both knew what your neighborhood street looked like. There's a, there's a shorthand that you have with one another and, and it may be true other than Carly, but, but even, Olivia even understands him in a slightly different way than Carly does, which I'm not, I'm not saying it's more or better, but it's, but it's slightly different in that it's a long time. They, they were, they both understood what it was to be like the bad kid on the block in the same neighborhood and sit outside the same principal's office door and get the same, you know, beating from the nuns and all that kind of stuff, so they understand things about where they come from that no one else ever will. I like that. You know, so there's, so there's that it's, but it's like, you know, neither, neither one is going to be a perfect relationship obviously or it wouldn't be on a soap opera, but then, you know, you, if you get one caller that calls in and says that they've got a relationship and a long-term marriage and a whatever that doesn't have any problems or issues and, you know, everything is perfect and they never, believe me, I'll, you know, well, I'll tell them that, I'll tell them that they're lying because there's no good things, but you know what I mean? Yeah. So it's, it's like, you know, that's, that's, that's what it is. That's not what relationships are for in this world or on soap operas. It's not, you know, to happiness and dreams. Yes, it's very true. You know? It's only on a soap opera, happiness is, it's just, it's just never going to, it's never going to last. Exactly. Maybe that's why people like soap operas so much. It's because it's sort of, sort of like, in a, in a more predictable cycle, you know, mirrors what is going on in everyone's real life, which is like, this is great. Wait a second. So I'm not so sure. Oh, it's great again. It's great again. Oh, no. Oh crap. Right? That's pretty much how it works. Pretty much. Pretty much it. And in life. And it keeps doing in. Soaps in in life. I can tell you stories about that. I'm just saying, I, I, I, I am just saying, I know, I know from experience. That's another, that's another show. That's the very, no, tell me about it. Three, one, two, caller from Illinois, you're on the line, this is a little Cicero. How are ya? Hey, Nabelle. How you doing? It's Tony. Hey, Tony. Tony. Yes, Tony. Hey, Tony. How are you? I'm doing fantastic. Oh, very fantastic. I love Philadelphia. That's what I, I'm just going to say it. I love it. Because we do. Oh, we good. Because it's a stupid. Yes, go ahead. I was going to say, even like, even like all the crying and everything, you're still on board. Yeah. I'm on board because I think they will get back together. Okay. Okay. I did believe. Okay. Good, Tony. One other thing. One other thing. Um, you probably don't remember me because we met 13 years ago out of the bank called taste Chicago. You ever heard of it? Dude, I still remember that day. I remember, I remember that day, like, I remember what I was wearing. I remember what I ate. Well, kind of, I remember I ate all kind of food that came on a stick. I remember that it was very hot and I remember that, yeah, I, I would be lying if I said I remember to every single person that I met that day, but that really was fun. I've always wanted to go back to that thing. Yeah. I was there. I was the one that, it's a picture with you. Oh, well, I was the one that had, like, the fluorescent red hair that looked like a mushroom. It looked like a really good idea at the time. It seemed at the time to be very stylish. Yeah. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. And you were the one that's done that's captatin. I was one, like, a bull, bull's, bull's, bull's, but it's a bull's one, the NBA championship that year. I was one, like, sure. That hat. Yeah. With little white hearts on it. Oh, yeah, I'm seems like a good idea fashion wise. Yeah, yeah, I got the pictures right here Cuz I was looking through my scrapbook. Am I right? Am I wearing a blue sundress with white with white? You are right on the money And I was like white like sneaker shoes some ugly white sneaker. I hope the shoes aren't in the picture, but that's what I was wearing No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, we fortunately is not in there. It's big. Yeah, it was like Yeah, it was yeah, it was it was not a good time for me fashion wise. I guess I don't know I thought it was whatever You did a cookie segment - cuz I got a picture you're thinking a cookie segment as well. So yeah, what's up on day? I Remember that well, it's nice to connect with you again, Tony. I'm glad I'm glad that you like to live yet Even through the even through the maudlin the maudlin parts and the sad crying parts cuz you know, it's true You know, it's easy to be it's easy to be on board with a couple when it's all like fun and get just like life When it's all fun and games and like purple underwear and whatever in blindfold Then everyone's everyone's on the train But whoa when it starts to be all about like blackmail and like Broken singing in bars and you know, people start jumping off the train. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just I'm just joking I believe me. I believe you I believe it and I and I am so good for it's more of that We have we have some good things coming up anyway, but yeah, but he's gonna offer But she got more than that to do worry about she's got to try to keep the Jack's secret to him knowing about quality of shooting Michael I mean, I'm just gonna do that that is some secret keeping isn't it take a lot of energy to keep a secret to yeah Yeah, it really does take a lot of mental energy to keep a secret from someone I mean, it you know, we all everyone's done it not not to this magnitude of course, but I mean Yeah, that's gonna be but you know what I she did warn Jack's back in the day You remember she had to see with Jack's like, what do you think Carly is gonna do when she finds out that you've known all this? I don't care what kind of baby from heaven you guys have made She's gonna go So I mean, I wore I just want to put it out there live You did warn Jack that I hope your marriage will withstand the fallout from you keeping the secret from her cuz she's gonna go a I didn't say the bad word Okay, one more yeah one more question before I go to the other colors I won't go you played also on Comedy called me on 9-1-1 with her cream roll named Rhea Storm. Yes, Maria Storm She's yeah, that all those guys are like my best friends There's the Reno guys Tom Lennon dangle and junior and Waggle those are all like my husband and I those are our his college buddies and my oldest friends from New York That'll have to be fun to do that, right? Day we had so much fun that day because I'm not really an improv I you know I had to both improv and know though no line so it was really fun I had to say the lines of the reporter and then they would come out and like do their little antics and whatever you had To improv and then go back to say in your lines. That was that was it was tough It was a really funny. My husband was directing at that time of that show. So it was really fun Well, well, let's not know you got other cars on the line. So thank you so much for talking to me And you know, I might say I might send you the pictures because I got the guy got a copy I could send it to you Send a method send them to the prospect studios. I'll send you one balance. I didn't send it back cool. Nice Awesome, I still have that dress by the way in one of my causes and Have that dress. I still have that dress. I don't have the dress I love it. Thank you much Lisa. There's a mess on the show be watching watching watching. Thank you so much. Thank you Bye-bye, bye-bye So speaking of arena number one how distracting is it? From Lenin's shorts as jingle. Well, I have known Tom for so long and I have seen him in so many ridiculous states of Undressed they did a sketch on They did a sketch on the state that was called it was about a theater company of The gay men on rollerblades in bikini songs doing the plays of the 30s and 40s And it was like the one of the funny was like, you know, all dudes But like in bikini songs on rollerblade doing glass menagerie and it was really Fing funny. It was really really those so I've basically I've seen Tom He might as well be my brother. He's one about he's married my best girlfriend and there, you know They he so to put it mildly his shorts do not distract me in the slightest Me personally it is is not something that I find distracting so No No, but but funny very funny, but not distracting He's he's a good guy That's good. That's good. I got to ask this though. I am not sure If you can say a little something about this, but you know, we all know Sarah Brown Just finished up. Yeah, dance on the show. Yeah is Can I ask is Olivia involved in what goes down for Claudia's exit? Well, I can say that that there is some Conf, there is some high-level conflict. Okay. I'm gonna spoil that and see how properly I can spoil it There is in the week of of of Claudia's demise there is an High-level high-drama conflict between the two women and that is probably all I should say. I think that we're gonna have I don't know what everyone's gonna know about How she actually meets her fate But I know that there's that there is that there is a big big conflict between Olivia and Claudia At a certain point before she goes and when I tell you that we had fun shooting this thing I was like that day. I was so sad that Sarah was going We were having so much fun like I love her and I know I've said this I know I've said this before But I find you're so fascinating as a not only as an actress, but as a person I we are very like Complementally different so when she she probably thought I was so crazy for the longest time She would I just like stare at her because I find her very fascinating and she's very she's so like focused and in the moment and everything and it's and she's That's why she's such a tremendous actress I feel so yeah, I agree to you. I feel so bad for Sarah because on her roles for soap operas They always seem to like separate general hospital the first time she was in general hospital But they always seem to end in a demise like she was killed off as the world turns and now she's you know Can't kill off general hospital. It's like all but I mean it's all I mean in a certain sense though. It's kind of like the perfect It's it's really fun to To do the building of the character part You know that the harder the the how do I say this? You know it's it's kind of that's kind of like the Silver lining of the whole thing is is to is to build that character and have that fun I'm not saying it's fun to get killed or watch your character get thrown under a bus and a certain circumstance whatever But I mean like to continue playing it for 15 or 30 years is that is a different whole different kind of challenge that I don't I mean, I don't know anything about but when I see You know Maurice and Tony and the great job that they do to keep sort of Playing a perpetual second active a movie with a character, you know, there's not like it's arcs and is as much as it's like You're in the thick drama of this person for a for 30 years That's better for can be a magician to pull that off So and keep people interested at all. I mean, that's that's like I Dare I dare any you know Any of the any anyone to pull that off the way that these people do I don't know how they do it But she I mean she and she just she just she'll just land on her feet everywhere she goes I know she already is obviously on on bold in the beautiful already shooting and I I just I love the fact that She's playing a character named Sandy Summers cuz I just like cuz it's so not Claudia I just I want to picture Sarah like bouncing in there like in like a like with a with a tan and a blonde wig or something in a bikini Being like hi everyone. I'm sandy summer. I know that's not what it's gonna be But I just I would lie. I would love to see her just like totally flip it around and be some super like sunshiney chick Then of course would wind up having like a horribly sad split personality or something, but you know, and then she would die No, I think I think as the world turns I think that it was can come that that was the concept from the beginning that they brought her in as like That it was gonna be a great big and I needed just someone who could just balls out do it from day one and She's who you call when you need someone who's gonna Gonna do it from day one, you know, you know, you know, it's more West if you need somebody throw food in the food fight More West, it's gonna be Sarah Brown. I never saw that. I just I know Michael My god, I can't believe he's one of my dear friends, and I just forgot his name Michael Who's on one life right now as Ron Raper or whatever. What's his name on one life to live? Novell and we need you yeah one one life on my friend. I can't I can't even believe that I just forgot Michael Lowry I think he's the one that killed her on as a world turns is that correct? Yeah, my wrong about that. No, you are you are on as a world turns That's what he said he's one of my dearest friends and he and of course that I just forgot his last name, but He was telling me that the name of the character. He's playing on one life I'm like did you say Ross Raper? What and he's like Roy Rayburn or Roy. What is the name of his character? Ross Rayburn. Oh But I just remember I'm like please tell me that they didn't name you like Rick Raper or something But it's something it's something like that Roy Rayburn or I can't remember what he is But he's doing such a great job on one life He's the bomb. I love that guy Oh One of the questions from the chat room for you. Do you speak fluent Italian? I surely do not and disease it only created alcohol My mom will be happy that I said that that was we had friends with an Italian nanny And that was what what I've only learned to say which is I want a glass of water These little teach it all that's about it I I almost bought a new a program that you know teaches you on your computer to do it but So far, I have not learned to speak Italian. I it's sad. I would love to I should probably learn Spanish first though a little more useful Absolutely, and it is Ross Raper and I'm we rock Rayburn. Not Rick Rayburn. No, okay All right next call Virginia and All you guys are calling in press 1 so I know to pick you up That's pretty much how it works for me to pick you up Make sure you press 1 on your phone that way I can definitely get to your call because none of you are pressing 1 at all Area code 804 from Virginia. You're on the line. How are you? Good, how are you? I'm very well. I get all your This one is so sweet we met it at at Fansland weekend It was the cutest thing I ever saw because she got should I say it? Can I say that you got nervous when we were I said it already? And I was like oh my honey. It's okay. It's okay. Don't be nervous. She's like She likes me and she likes and she likes Megan a lot, and I'm sure a lot of other characters, too You are such a sweetie. Oh Thank you. How are you doing? No? I'm good good My question is Feelings about you tweet about Your son and Megan son having a play date. Oh, yes I was just wondering what were you and I can talk about? When we when they were having a play date We were just sort of like standing in the corner watching them They were sitting in my dressing room eating pizza and watching the Simpsons movie and playing Pokemon and They really got along super well And and Megan and I were both very sort of thrilled and and we went into our into her room and where did we talk about? We talked about oh I don't know acting she we talked about her house renovation. We talked about You know lady things Paracels and butterflies and things like that. I mean honestly, I don't remember exactly But but we were mostly talking about our kids. Yeah, I think and probably running lines And then my second question is when is you're gonna get back together when is oh Joe Olivia Donnie? Yeah, I They have I mean they have some kind of Reconciliation I mean as you might imagine when Claudia is out of the picture. There's not any immediate barrier keeping them apart You know so so I haven't I haven't really read past That or what you will see on your screen it gets it the story turns into some other things So when they get if or when they get back together like full blown I Oh actually did shoot something and There's there's some reconciliation in the in a certain sense, but I don't know when it's gonna be airing Will you be the one who's gonna be killing Claudia? I have no idea who's killing Claudia I See that's that. I'm not touching that question. Then put Paul time. I wish I could I can't even direct message it to you. I I'm gonna step off that question like it was a hot cole I try though I wish I could I think people will will will not be disappointed in how many of that plays out There's some great performances coming up Maurice did some awesome work and Sarah's did some awesome. Everyone did awesome work. Oh my god Laura, right? Yeah Awesome work everybody Well, I'm excited to see you next week at soul nation. Oh, wait a minute. Are you the the Which which which one next week the one in the way the one in the over the the the the Hyper so um, yeah coming out to LA honey. Yeah, oh funny. How cute that's awesome. I can't wait to see you We're also doing there's a habitat for humanity thing coming up that Brandon and I are doing a house that we're Gonna build with we're auctioning off all of our cast mates for a build date Which is gonna be December 12th? There'll be a website up on soaps in depth. I believe very shortly And that'll be that'll be fun, too. I hope I hope people will all come out for that, too Thank you so much for calling honey. I'll see you next week. All right. Bye. Okay. Bye Wow, you know wonderful. What's that? Yeah, do you have fans of all ages calling she is the sweetest. She is the sweetest thing She was so at van club weekend. I was like honey. Don't worry. I'm not gonna bite you She's so sweet and adorable. I love her Anyway, I was I forgot that the event next weekend was a soap nation event I knew that it was an I participate thing, but I didn't know that it was I forgot that it was soap nation, but it is More questions are coming from Chad about the Cait lives scenes. Why are they taking place and they're any lived on gay scenes any lives and live scenes They pretty much want to know when is Olivia interacting with pretty much everybody. Oh, wait. What was the first? Did you say Olivia and Kate when are those happening? What are those happening? I'm trying to think of what already happened Those should be airing pretty soon when she Gets in Olivia's face and is like you are selfish and I mean, of course, it's one of the things of like that That has to be the truth for Kate, but it Certainly is not the truth for Olivia, and it certainly isn't the truth for Dante either This whole thing of like you have to go to sunny and tell him all this shit is like Kind of absurd from their point of view But but it's but it's certainly obviously the truth The truth that that that case would feel And those things I don't know when they air But that's you know that I don't think I'm spoiling too much because that's sort of been her through line for some time Is that you should tell him And and um They are they are they are coming up shortly within the next couple weeks for sure And who are the other characters Dante you live in Dante and I'm always with Dante. There's a lot of Dante It all sort of jumbles into my head, but yeah, there's there's there's definitely Dante and Olivia scenes coming up And he just isn't he just the bomb. I mean I honest to God feel like he is my grown-up son That's how we in interact in life He lives right in my neighborhood and we have the same the same take on people and the same take on so much stuff And and he's just I'm so glad that they picked him to be My son. I believe he's a Canadian actor correct sure. Yeah, he is. Yeah, he was on one of my favorite shows Edgemont The next time you see him tell myself a huge fan of him on a Canadian show which I fall in America called Edgemont Edgemont I was a huge battle-staglactica fan. So when I found out that he was jammer from Battlestar. I was like, yes Yeah, he's he's the bomb and I just I love working with him And in life, I mean he's he he just I honestly I feel about him like I'm I'm proud when I see him as if I raised him I raised such a good boy, you just he's Respectful and delightful at work, and you know, he's always polite and prepared and this is just delightful So I did a good job raising him. There you go. There you go We got another we got another New Yorker, New Yorker on the line Area code 315 you're with us right now. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Hi, I'm not What's that the craze Wait, what's that? Hello, I said hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Um, I like your character Olivia because I think you're a gorgeous woman Oh, thank you. You're welcome and you have a pretty smile and pretty eyes and oh, that's very sweet. Thank you you're welcome and Okay, the whole thing with Claudia. I think you're doing a wonderful job. Oh Thank you. I I love the stuff with with with Claudia I'm glad that that that that translates because we do we have a lot of fun shooting those scenes and and You know, I always I always hope that it comes across on the screen that that we hate each other because in real life We have a good time. So it's nice if those are working. That makes me feel good. That does work good good And Laura right what do you like working with her? I love working with her I've said this so many times, but it's almost like it's like she was bred in a lab to be on a soap opera the way that she looks the way that she can I mean she just Dropped a gallon of tears on a dime. She just and she gets you and her both have good tears She's the queen she's the queen she like she can she can like snap her fingers and they like they whip out but but she Yeah, she gets exactly the point of every scene immediately and can play the through line of it, you know With completely clean in every way and so it's it's really it's really fun to work with her. I love working with her she's She's great. I mean, I I don't mean to be sound like it sounds like I'm being phony baloney But I there's not I love working with all my cats mates a lot. I'm not just blowing smoke up everyone's ass I really do When I don't I don't have any like when I when I get my scripts. I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm working with Jack Oh, yeah, I'm working with and then sometimes there's a surprise like I'm working with Becky Like what the heck does Olivia have to say to Becky and then you're like, oh, well, I may not work I guess we both have a lot of secrets to keep and so we're gonna have that Conversation and I had never really worked with her except for the time that I yelled at her in the hospital a long time ago But but that one but then I do that and I'm like, that's so awesome. I want to work with Becky again I had a brief scene with Tyler a long time ago He and he and just as another shout out for us I guess Tyler and myself and Dom and probably Ronnie are planning a an East Coast tour of visits sometime in the spring I think so cool. So that'll be that'll be fun So okay, here's another question for you. Okay, okay, so Your character. Yeah You did a great job portraying the mom of Dante. Thank you when The carnival happened. Oh, yeah Yeah, those were some awesome things that you did Thank you. That's I mean, that's that's a that's a thing with Olivia a lot of it a lot Of and I and this is gonna be a through line for her along is that she has to cover up a lot of her Cigarettes a motion. I mean I see it And also it's it's really well established that you know unlike sort of Carly or even Claudia even though they're both also tough women Olivia has said many times she doesn't she doesn't want to anyone to ever see her cry like if she Sunny made a comment about like yeah, and you start crying and you and I'm like who started crying because if you're saying I started crying I know you're talking about a different person so I Olivia is not a character that lets her tears fall easily if she's gonna cry it's gonna be like There was no holding it back You know what I mean? Which isn't the case you know a lot of you love that's not the case on a lot of For a lot of characters particularly on soap operas, but you did an awesome job on the carnival. Oh, thank you Thank you. I mean that yeah, that was it was hard to do this sort of this is the worst thing that could ever possibly happen And I capped act like I don't care Sort of was that carnival fun? No, it was hot. I mean it was hot And I ate a lot of popcorn, but it was it was it was fun and everyone was and everyone was scared of the clowns You know like people are But we had a lot of fun shooting that stuff that day me and and you know all the guys were getting into Contest with each other trying to you know Throw the basketball through the hoop and knock over bottles and whatever and all that kind of silliness But we we had a lot of fun shooting this stuff. Do you know when Carly is gonna give birth? Do I know well, I know it's coming up pretty not too long. I Don't know when it's gonna air But I don't I do not know I do not know exactly when she's gonna give birth, but I know she's She's pretty near the due date. Okay, so I'm gonna guess it's I'm gonna guess it's pretty soon. I Did not I did not see those those things are if they're shot. I'm not sure but I Don't like working with Jack's a lot. Oh, I love working with him. He is so much fun we have a lot of yeah, we have a lot of fun together and and It's that's it's an interesting relationship Olivia and Jack's they you know, it's an unusual kind of friendship, but it is somehow I Guess it kind of works. They know each other's Secrets obviously and I think You know when that secret comes out and Carly, you know goes ballistic on both of them I haven't I don't know what's gonna happen honestly, but I have a feeling they're gonna have something to commiserate about like Oh crap Carly hates us both You know well, maybe Carly won't hate you maybe you may be right. You may be right I you know I have a feeling when she finds out that Olivia new and didn't tell her I have a feeling I you know I don't know honestly, you may be right and you may be right, but But it's a soap opera. So, you know, what is it like what however much conflict there can be it? It's likely to air on the side of conflict. I guess And I have one question for Lisa. Yes, okay, so Lisa. Have you ever thought of doing like a soap cruise? So that would it would be fun. I'm like the soap crews that I know it seems like it was already Done at a certain point. I mean my my character is just sort of becoming the having a front burner storyline for the first time right now So I don't think that there Would have been any real call to sort of ask me to do a soap cruise until rather recently. Do you know what I mean? Well, you should just sort of like for a long time. What's that? You should do rock the soap. That cruise was really fine Oh, yeah, I do I hear that there are a lot of fun, but yeah, I was on it. We who was no thou? Oh Really? Yeah, I'm rocking out That's where the whole mevel that's where the whole mevel thing came from from Brandon. That's it Okay, I'm gonna have to ask for it. It's going um Next when is it? No, April April 9th. I believe yeah, April 9th through the 12th Wow, that would be getting dangerously close to my 40th birthday. So that would be That would be fun that would be fun You're welcome. Thank you for calling here. Welcome. See you later So we do have a there's a lot of questions coming in the chat room that actually everybody's asking myself included They all wanted to know have you worked with them? Have you worked with Jonathan Jackson on the show and your feelings on Greg Vaughn? I have not worked with Jonathan. I have not even met him. I was getting my hair blow-dried One day when he sort of made a quick appearance in the makeup room And I think it was sort of like his first day's first minute I'm not gonna like jump up and like you know molested dude when I don't know him But but so I did I haven't really I haven't really officially met him. He seems like such a sweet guy I mean obviously he his his Characterization of lucky is very different because he just he and Greg are so different physically. It's like a different thing I mean Greg I you you are never ever in your life gonna find a nice nicer guy than Greg Vaughn that dude So there's there's no way that everyone on our set isn't gonna isn't gonna You know miss him like a like a family member, but I know he'll he'll he'll be around just like Just like family members and I know that he'll do fine. He'll he'll get another great gig and so I don't I don't worry about him just like like Sarah, but it's just sad to not have his cutie pie little smiling face around and I know that that You know obviously Jonathan can really bring it too because I remember him from being lucky before right So no, but I have not had any scenes with with him yet, but I do definitely look forward to that Absolutely absolutely All right, we got I believe this is if I'm not mistaken Emily is that That's it, right? Hi, I think I heard you Feedback going on. Ah I hear you. Hey, so this is Eda from New York. Hi. How are you fine? How are you doing? I'm doing pretty good I didn't this appeared to actually talk here at FCW the best of July. Oh fully But a quick question for you actually - yeah Really loving what's going on with Johnny and Olivia, and I think that's really kind of hot kind of you know going on there Right. Good. Hopefully GH doesn't screw it up like they're they're known to school my favorite couples So I really can't really get into anything Then like fan-wise that way, but my question is to you this you were brought in last year as like an addition to Volcanary clan, you know Megan and stuff like that, and we're all excited to see you know What what you could bring and what can you know? How you bounce off of Megan and stuff like that? What is it like to work with Megan? I mean what is your feedback on her and you know anything that's coming up that you know Yeah, I We love working together. We we Try to always play and we we have long conversations because she loves to talk about you know like I do she loves to talk about the character and how and how the two characters interact and all that stuff that a Lot of the scenes that they write between Kate and Olivia could be played Bitchy and we have to I mean you have to tell the story that they want you to tell so you can't just completely say like I'm just gonna do whatever the hell I want with it, but but we do try to as much as possible Make our scenes about people you know two women who have a history and a very loving history even though You know like you would be with with someone that you're that When we watch it when Kate was shot in the hospital and stuff like that I mean my routine was probably when you guys were talking about me I didn't throw in the last you know the tachy back at each other, you know, I Expanded to see more of that, you know, and then just right now It's just you know, it's like dragging out and it's just unfortunately, you know They pull Megan out to say don't you know tell the secret tell the secret and then they put her back You know, I really would like to see more of you guys teaming up together kind of thing especially with this Claudia You know, I just think I would like to see more of that relationship They they talk about as far as Kate and Megan. I mean, sorry Kate now Olivia having as children growing up in Bensonhurst and stuff like that. Yeah I we and because you know again like I've said about everyone. I I love working with her and we You know, we have a good we I'm trying to think with the already aired the sight scenes. I've had the bar. There's more stuff In Olivia's Apartment. I think the next stuff that's coming up is a little bit more It's a little bit more antagonistic. It's the stuff that that you really couldn't There was only so far that we could push it into the like let's play this like best friends kind of thing and still tell the story You know what I mean? Well, I mean they'll never they'll never hate each other never I mean I mean I guess you know anything could happen But I don't but I don't but but they're always gonna have a connection and a love of one another but You know, they really are having opposite points of view right now, and so there's just You know this it shows about conflict. They're gonna. They're gonna set up as much All roses and flowers right You know it's at the same time. It's like, you know I'm a very proud Italian American. I'm thinking back to lean to months and it's just like well I would have loved to see that dynamic of you know Italian if you know Right, you know the grandmother and stuff like that I would have liked to see maybe like a flashback to see what the hell is going on between And all night and Kate as they were going up kind of deal That would that would doubt I mean and and that's certainly a place where they could they could I mean Obviously with the Dante stuff coming out at some point You know, she I can only imagine that she's gonna figure in that somehow and that that would You what I said, I'm hoping for that. Yes, I mean the Dante thing, you know coming more close I just thought I don't want it to be unfortunately another plot point which seems to be going on in general hospital It's like okay, we started to stop it. You know, let's start another story stop it I think there's so much potential between Olivia and Kate. Yes. I know I I think that I think that you guys can carry it and you know, I make it work. I totally agree. I totally agree I'm I mean, I'm not saying I agree. I'm such a great actress I mean I agree that we could have a good storyline between the two of us and and I think that there I think you know, obviously, I the one thing I would say I would never Pretend to be able to get inside the writer's mind and see what they have coming up But I mean that there certainly is You know room for room for that the two of us having having You know camaraderie and conflict I have to admit though is you know, I think you know, why they're stressing this Olivia's funny relationship I just I like the way that Olivia is able to let herself go and be with Johnny and Johnny is just you know He brings a different dynamic to Olivia like, you know, it started off as a joke and now it's just become You guys have a good chemistry bouncing off each other with Brandon. So I'm just wondering you know, that's another aspect I think that could be really played well, you know, just you know, the cousin's teasing about, you know You're dating a younger man on the show kind of deal, you know, it's right right No, she I mean she she made her she made a strong choice with that Megan She wanted to she wanted it at least in the beginning I think she's I think she doesn't do it as much But when she first she made it like icky icky she wanted it to she wanted to do it sort of like ill Nasty like he's too young For you, but I think I think even the character has sort of moved away from I think I think her choices as a character have sort of moved away from from that like people are accepting them as a couple slightly more than You know in the initial shock of I mean and and you know to say whatever that there's a nine-year age difference between the two of us Which if that's really Know that you don't need a little bit the way they make it for trade on like a G8
She's smart, sexy, and is involved in one of the most hot storylines/couples on ABC Daytime's General Hospital right now.
