Louise Sorel talks with Buzzworthy Radio!
For her first comeback interview
We have learned that the Divine Louise Sorel has expressed interest in doing a comeback interview with The Daytime Royalty's very own Na'Vell J. Lee. on Buzzworthy Radio.
First coming onto the soap scene in 1984, Sorel played the role of Augusta Wainright on NBC's Santa Barbara. In between her Santa Barbara stints, she then appeared on One Life to Live for one year as Judith Sanders.
Fans, though, will remember her best as playing the whacked out villainess, Vivian Alamain, along with her henchman, Ivan. Her biggest crime that no one can ever forget? Burying Carly Manning alive...another return to DAYS played by Crystal Chappell to happen this fall.
So, what is in store for Vivian? What is in store for Carly? And is it safe to assume that Lawrence Alamain is not that far behind?

Before we get to our guest, actually our guest is here, let's calm that down. Our guest is here. Hello, Miss Sorrell, nice to talk to you again. Good morning. Good morning. I'm good. How are you? I'm fine. It's definitely morning. I've been up for three hours, so I don't know yet. For me, it's morning. It's you? Okay, all right. I want to introduce you to my co-host here, Matthew Preston. Hello. Good morning to you. Good morning, everybody, and Luis, I'm with you. I'm totally not a morning person. So I'm like, oh, I need some coffee to wake up. I would get up for you any time. Thank you so much for coming on to the show. No, it's a pleasure. Pleasure. My voice is just coming to me right now. So what's going on over there? Well, you know, we're still reeling over the news that you are returning to days where our lives is Vivian. It was one of the hugest, one of the biggest shockers that we've heard in a long time, especially when it had happened after we heard about the Crystal Chappelle returning to the show. Yeah. Exactly how did that come about with you coming back to the show? Like, what was the story behind it? Well, with my bizarre sense of humor, I tend to think someone might have injected the idea to someone. I don't know. I don't know. I was surprised myself, except for the fact that I heard that Crystal was going back. Not that that meant that I should be back, but I felt that Vivian was kind of wonderful, I don't know what, intruder in that world. Of course, I didn't really want to leave when I left, but they always have their reasons. And I thought, well, certainly they'll bring her back. And then, of course, your ears went by and I thought, okay. I don't think so. She's gone to Europe. And then, I don't know who, you know, you never know who came up with an immediate idea. One second, I just want to wave to the coffee machine. Hold on. Did you make coffee? I like that. I feel free to coffee with her. Care? See, I don't drink coffee. I don't drink coffee. I drink a lot of food. I get up. I don't know. I'm not going to drink coffee, but I'm drinking it this morning. Oh, wow. I don't know. It might have been a combination of them all talking and thinking, well, it's hard to explain that. They could answer it better than I. But it was a shock. Yeah, definitely a shock to me, because I had sort of moved on. We were definitely so happy to have you back, but Vivian has done some really bad things. I mean, how did you use an actress sort of play that, like in your head for you? Justifying if she was good or if she was bad, I mean, like, how did you play it? All these years? I actually never thought in those terms because if you get into one, you know, nobody's one thing or another. She was kind of a mad hatter. You know, certain things I had to just plunge into and do them and ask questions later because, you know, it's your job. And I used to think after I'd go home at night, I think I was doing what? I would have lots of French fries. What? You know, I mean, I'd have these sort of late reactions to the very activities that went on that were kind of stunning. You know, which one wouldn't do in your real life. And I don't know, I just sort of went along with it. And there were times when I certainly questioned her. But, you know, they don't want to hear it a lot because they write it and it's very hard to keep writing these things. They're really hard jobs to keep these things going, I think. Yes, you know, exactly. How many stories are there and then you have to find another way to tell them and try to protect all the characters. It's tough. It really is. It really is. You know, one of the, you know, I first started watching you on the show once. And of course, everybody associates this storyline with yourself and the character of Vivian is when you buried Carly alive. Yeah. You know, everybody associates that as the all-time storyline on the show. And that was probably one of the most exciting stories to play. When you play that storyline out, what did you think of it? Like, what was like your first initial reaction when you did that? You know what, my head went to Noel Coward. I can't believe it. But, you know, I had those moments where I'd call her in the crypt or whatever. She was in and say, "Hello, darling." Yes. I'd wake up from a nap, you know, and I would just put my head in the place of the sort of eccentric Maggie Smith moment of, you know, it's sort of these characters who find this amusing. It's not like you're thinking you're evil. You're just being, you're abusing yourself with very perverse concepts. And, you know, where else do you get away with that? True. If you're also pretty made off. I mean, where do you get away with me doing horrible things? Unless it's true, Palin. You know, I can get me into that world. Now, say we would just bring her on. I could easily shoot her. Wouldn't seem like. Say, I guess for the day, Sarah Palin. And that would be it. I just got. I would watch that. I swear to God. I really could. I think she's evil. But did you hear about the new, I never read these things except, of course, like everybody else in the bank market? Did you see the latest headlight? No, it wasn't. No. She, it was the front page of, I think, the star or something like that. That the reason that she stepped down was there was a little thing going on with her husband's partner. The front page. But really, I swear to God, I read it in the, wherever I was, you know, one of those magazines stands. And I said, of course, it was in the fair of the heart, but nothing really happened. And he's sticking by her. So she stood down so that she could be with her family. Above all, it's more important to her. And they can all go together in one of their little helicopters and shoot the wolves. Oh, I can't tell you how angry that makes me. Oh. But we will have slightly gone off the subject. But I understand I am coming in with a bang. Whatever that means. What do I mean? No, I did come in with a gun the first time. True. That's true. That's true. You did. It's safe to ask now. Do you know if the part, you coming back to the show, is it long term or short term? Because I know before, you have stated that you would love to return to days as long as long term. What about now? I said that. Rumor on the street. Oh, I don't know if I, I just said I'd love to go back. I don't think I ever used that because there's no such guarantee. Originally there was a thought of it being a longer term. Because, you know, I moved to New York and this was a big jolt for me to do that. It took a lot for me to leave my home. And so here I am in New York settle down and, you know, sort of going right back again. So we're taking it slower. You know, we'll see how it goes. Of course I. You know, I think we're starting with a year. They may not, it may not work for them or whatever because they really have control over it. I don't. Right. Hey, the income back works for anybody. That's all I got to say. Seriously. It's been, you've been wanting for, for so many years. You know, and not only do fans know you as Vivian, they actually got to watch you as Augusta on Santa Barbara. Yeah. I love that show. So did I. So did I. There was a little bit of, you know, that was kind of an extension. Augusta was in a different arena, but there was a little bit of that mischief. You know, the doppins had a different style and it was a new show. And they were finding things and I thought Augusta was a wonderful character. She wasn't. That was, I think, that was a demise that should not have happened. I agree with that. Yeah. I've never done a soap before. So it was new for me. And I met some really wonderful people. I was so thrilled that, I mean, there I was with Dame Judith Anderson. But then I was even, it was more so because we became inseparable. And I spent many, many weekends up in Montecito. We'd traveled together and that was one of the greatest losses in my life was that woman. And she went, and it was a shocker for me. Even though I'm better when she was 87, but she was heaven. And, you know, we had to go out to dinner or breakfast in Santa Barbara. And I'd take her out on the pier and give her, buy her an ice cream. And her hair would flow in the wind and she'd approach. She'd love children. She'd approach children and scare the shit out of them. She'd go, "Hello darling, what do you want to be when you grow up?" And they'd go, "Ahh!" And sleep. Or just stand there gasping that this woman had approached her with that voice. You know? And it was just people worldwide. It was fabulous. I have pictures of her standing in the wind with her hair blowing with an ice cream in her hand. It's just... She had two points to cherish that. We had some very funny moments. She took me to a... She used to go to this sort of psychic in Santa Barbara who really didn't seem to know who she was. So one day she said, "Well, I don't know anything about you." And she didn't. And she said, "But I have a feeling that you'll accomplish something quite wonderful in your life." And I'm standing and thinking, "I want to scream." "It's St. Judas Edison, you idiot!" You know, she's telling her, "80s, 70s of old. Madam, you may accomplish something in your life." I was thinking, "And Judas never said a word." "Thank you," she said. "Thank you so much." Oh my God. Fabulous. And she's the leading of it. Drive through. You know? Drive through. Fast food. Drive through. That we have all over the place. I was put to take her to when we were taking her to get a huge award in San Diego in a big limousine. And I told the driver to pull into a McDonald's. And we pulled in and she said, "Well, what is this?" And I said, "Well, Judas, this is fast food. You can just order and it comes right through the window." Well, she couldn't believe that. Could not get over. She said, "Don't we have to get out and sit down somewhere?" I said, "No, Judas. You stay in the car. They hand to you through the window." So I'm civilized. I mean, oh God. She was priceless. Wow. That's so funny. That was like a child discovering things. Anyway, he didn't ask me about her, but I got onto a memory trip. Yeah. Those are the great things. Those are the great things. Those are the great things. Oh, God. So, where were we? What have you been doing? What have you been doing since you last days? Well, have you been up to such people? Well, I got to a play with Estelle Parris in the suite of the cocktail hour. And then I did some -- some of the other shows I came in and did all my children. Excuse me. And I do a lot of traveling. I went to Africa. When I was back here this last time, I started a writing course because that's really very important to me. And I like my writing a lot, but it's memoir writing. And I was very encouraged by the class. And I want to keep it up and I want to hopefully get it out because I've never taken advantage of this, but out to the fans so that I can express more of myself as opposed to living, you know, so that there's another part which I've always been very protective of, but I like my writing and I'd like to share it. Okay. So, because I've had a brother -- I should be dead by now. In fact, I wrote a piece called "I Should Be Dead by Now." Oh, no, no, wait a minute. It was -- what's her name? Oh, God. A wonderful character actress. A Selma Ritter. I wrote "Selma Ritter's Dead I'm Not." That was what I wrote. And I wrote a piece about that because sometimes I feel I should be. But as they say in "Spamalot," I'm not dead yet. Do you have some really interesting stories? Like, I love listening to your story. I would probably buy the flip it. That sounds pretty cool. I hope so. I probably would try to do it in story form because memoir requires some very specific rules. And I seem to break those rules a lot, you know, not even in the class, but they all said, "God, this stuff is so exotic. You need to get this down." And so I am getting it down. But it doesn't have an order. You know, some story will come to mind. And I'm thinking, "Why can't I just throw it into a book of stories?" Nora Ephron does it. So that's what I'm going to try to do. A compilation of things. And they're fun. I mean, I have to tell you, they're certainly -- I think they're entertaining. And, you know, every actress wants to try to book about themselves. And that's what worries me. And I don't want to say, "Well, then I did this show, and then I did that show." You know, I don't want to do that. Right. It's much more interesting to take people on adventures outside of that little world. You know, the traveling I've done has been important. And I had a strange childhood with a father who was a producer in films. So there's some bizarre stories that -- I mean, they're funny as hell. Uh-huh. We'll see. Absolutely. So have you -- when you were writing and during your time often days, have you watched days since you've been off the show? And if you have, what have you thought about it since your time on the show to this point now, if you have seen it? Uh, I honestly have not been watching. Part of it was in the beginning when I left the show. It sounds like you don't want to watch it because it's painful. And it wasn't for me when I left. I just wanted to shut it out because it was too close. You know, it's like losing a child, God forbid. Right, right, right. For my dog, which for me is agonizing. I wanted to walk away and heal my wounds because I felt that I had lost something. And then I started my journey to Europe and Africa and, you know, put my head in other places in terms of work. So I really didn't watch and I recently watched naturally because suddenly I'm going back. And I don't know people. You know, I saw all the people that I used to work with and I loved them all. They're really sweet. And I saw them, Brian DeTillo, who's a grown up now. He looks much more grown up now. But we got in very well. We had, he's very funny. I don't know, have you spoken with him a lot? We have. Yeah, we have. I don't know if he lets that out, but he's really funny. And you would not know that. I mean, when he first started, he was this cute little guy and quiet. And, you know, just doing his job. And then we hung around a little bit and I saw that he had almost an ability to stand up. Yes. He even investigates that. You know, I haven't seen him in a long time. But we had something going on where we could not look at each other. Because I'm a little narcissist on the set, as Ken Corday will certainly confirm. And the whole thing of being able to say that we're to bow into hope in the same sentence more than once is enough to make me frankly fall over my couch. You know, and it would be with Brian. Because I had to explain to him that bow loved hope and hope loved bow. But if bow wasn't, there wasn't seeing hope and hope would be very, well, it was impossible. It just got to be like a Marcus Brothers routine. And we couldn't look at each other. But if bow loved hope and hope loved bow in the veggies, you know, we go on like that. And I say, I can't do this. We'll never get through the scene. And, you know, we had wonderful moments like that. Because laughter to me is the solution to everybody. So, I think those are great memories. He is hilarious. He really is funny. And, yeah, I agree. He should go. I think he said he did a little bit of stand up whenever he started out, you know, in his career. And I think he did. I think he did. Yeah. Some more. And he is hilarious. Well, he is really funny. He is in a funny thing when you look at him. He's a handsome, you know, kind of all American kind of boy that you just wouldn't think of that way. And then he starts to kind of go off in his head and you say, wait a minute. He's really special. And I always, I picked up on that and I thought, I've got to play around with that with him. I mean, it's almost to the point now if I went back all these years later and looked at him, we'd start laughing. He's always YouTube. It's golden. It's golden. Yeah. It really is. Yeah. It really is. Yeah. Have you, go ahead. Go ahead. No, no, no, it's okay. Go ahead and watch. I was, I was going to say, go ahead and finish this vlog. I didn't want to interrupt you. Well, push the button. I was thinking about humor and I was thinking about Yvonne. Oh, yeah, a lot of people are asking, were asking about Yvonne when they heard you were coming back. I'm not surprised. They really were, they were, they were wondering, is he going to probably come back too? But again, you will never know. You never know. I just think we were, uh, almost joined at the hip. Yeah. And we had the same sort of relationship off camera. Yeah, he was, he would come in in the morning and say, "Madam, do we have any lines today?" And I'd like to say, Yvonne, we have 28 pages. And he'd say, "Oh." And I, it's that with our relationship. And I had a T-shirt. I had a T-shirt that said, uh, what was it? Yes, madam feels like shit today. Because I'd come up and say, "How does madam feel today?" I mean, we had that kind of humor going all the time. So that would be really fun. It really would. I haven't heard anything. Oh, no. No, it's okay. Yeah, I don't know that, you know, they're also, in all these shows, they're having so much trouble. They have to, you know, downsize as well. So I don't know what they're doing. Yeah. Right. At the time. You know, essentially you brought that up. I didn't know if you kept in ties with, like, the day's news when they released Drake Hogan's Den and Deidre Hall. I heard it. I was floored. I was floored. So were we? Yeah, I'm sure. Yeah. I'm sure. I thought, I mean, just in the work that, no, that'll never happen. I couldn't believe it. And I'm sure that it was economic. You know, how else, what else? They would be able to know other reasons. I just can't even imagine it. Right. I just, it was a huge loss. It was a huge loss to the show. Yes. I'm sure it was. Absolutely. And, you know, I can't, I don't like to get into this conversation, but I know it was. And I was quite shocked. And, you know, I, whatever the reasons, I don't know. And that's all I know about that. Well, we actually have a fan question. Tara, who is a, who is a writer, she actually writes one of the, the day's fanfics called "Light and Fair." She wants to know what has been your favorite Vivian story to play. You know, somebody asked me that and it, you know, they, they sort of all run together and I don't know. It's hard when I think of separating them. They, what happens is I, I get a kind of collage of moments in my, in my mind of funnies. I always seem to tend to want the funny ones. But I, I, some that are, the one that was so strong for me because I had been truly asking for it and looking for it for so long was an elevator scene with Kate, who was Deborah there at the time. And it was a scene where there was some, some little window about Vivian's life and history, which I kept asking for. You know, I don't think anybody just goes out and wreaks havoc and has no reason for it. Although I, there are people like that, like George Bush. But anyway, you know, people who just go fake and go out and wreak havoc. And I thought, well, there's a little window into her, her pain. I mean, you, you operate from some level of pain. And there was some, some of that exposed in that and I loved that scene. That it wasn't a storyline. It was just a moment. We got in the elevator together and it was also funny. You had very funny, wonderful little moments in there between us. And, and then there were just, you know, there were thousands of hilarious things that, I mean, everything from me, a french fry, or a box of french fries, to flying through the air with Yvon hanging onto my leg and trying to fly with my arm. And I mean, I, I, there were so many visuals. A lot of the stuff was written with Michael Sabatino. By the way, I just read on one of those sites that he is coming back, because Michael said he wasn't. Crystal Chappelle did confirm it on, on, she did, she tweeted it, she tweeted it. Well, you know, maybe it's true. I, I, I talked to them only a few weeks ago and I said, Michael, what's, are you going back? He said no. But, you know, it's changed rapidly. Oh, yeah. So, yeah, because it was interesting because Soap Digest had put on the website that he was returning and then they suddenly took it off. And then Crystal went on Twitter and then she said that he is returning, so I'm wondering. Well, see, I, I stay away from that stuff because I don't think it's too safe to make statements. I don't know. She must know something. I don't know. Yeah. She might. So. So. On the word. Twittering away. Oh, we had a lot of good stuff. Michael and Crystal and I, but, you know, there were so many things. There were so many things. I just, you know, I had such delicious, crazy things to do. That I can't remember them all in the full story line. You know, they all seem to, one into the other. Yeah. No. There you go, Tara. Well, with Twitter, I mean, you got all this technology now, Twitter, Facebook, my face. I have to learn that because I don't know how to do any of them. With you on Twitter, do you just type it in in Google? Something like that. I don't know Twitter myself. I know Facebook and Facebook. I don't know how to do that. Facebook, you log on to Facebook.com. You get a profile. You can connect with all these people. It's really cool. And YouTube is really big. And I'm pretty sure, you know, especially for days. Oh, yeah. Amazing. Have you seen? One second, guys. Hold on one minute. Go right ahead. One minute. Hello? Oh, you're still there. We are. Yeah. They went away. They went away. Sorry. Go ahead. So, YouTube, I mean, you have even watched tons of, for example, Santa Barbara clips and Dave clips. Have you seen some? I just, you know what? I went on a site yesterday and found these clips. And there was Dame Judith and I burst into tears. You know, I saw a few scenes, which I haven't seen in a long time. And that is such an emotional memory bank for me, that whole period. Very special time for me. That was new. You know, the first soap I ever did, it was filled with wonderful actors. And I have to say that Dobson, the Mad Hatter, they were so creative. And she's a wonderful painter, by the way. Bridget, that's what she's doing. Oh, okay. She has a big following. She has big shows. They're living in Atlanta. And we had our moments, you know, again, where I was questioning stuff. And we'd get into little things. But there was a real love and respect between us. And they've come up to New York and I've gone to see them. And they were very unusual people. Very creative. Nice. Yeah. Good actors on that show. Nancy Groan and Lane Davies and Nick Costner. Yes. Nick, he's a very close friend of mine. Okay. Someone has suggested that Vivian should return with Nicholas Costner in tow as a new character. Oh, God. Yeah. Yeah, they did. Oh, actually, I was reading the soap message boards when they were speculating. Speculating Vivian's return of what should happen. And they said Nicholas Costner should come back with Vivian Alamine. I wonder what I could do about that. I'm already sitting in the neck. You know, they're already going, oh, God, she's coming back. Watch the doors. Oh, God, that would be fabulous. I don't know how to orchestrate that. Yes. Look at the fans involved in that one. Get the fans involved. Oh, yeah. But you know, if I do it, it'll come back to Ken Cordange. He'll say she's added again. I don't want to start in trouble yet. Yes. Just wait a week. A week after. A week after you start. A week after. You think that's enough time? Okay. I think so. I think so. When do you first report to work? You know, I'm not sure. I think it's the end of September. The end of September. Okay. That sounds... There you go, Safe Rock. There you go, Safe Rock. They asked that question. They wanted to know when you report to work. So there you go, Safe Rock. Now I'm saying, and it could be first week October, which would be actually a better situation because I'm not really situated in LA yet. And it's a little overwhelming. But that would be great. Last week, September, first week, October. I always like to ask people who travel from East Coast to West Coast and you are a traveler. What do you think the differences are between New York and Los Angeles? Oh, you're talking to an Angelino who left there when she was 18. And frankly, didn't plan to return. But, you know, went back and did a lot of work. And I have to say now with a little more distance. I am such a New Yorkaholic. And yet, I lived out there many years and I left my home of 31 years in Westwood. Where there was certainly a great sense of comfort and, you know, there's a different mode of life. I'm a street person. I'm a person person. And in New York City, as soon as I step out the door, I'm chatting away with dogs and people. And that, to me, is like life. And you can't do that in LA very much, you know, because you can't walk around very much. Except I could in the neighborhood. But there's a big difference for me. I like what I can almost catch in a block here of a thousand different lives going on. And cultures and sounds and language and foods. I walked to Lincoln Center to a concert in 15 minutes flat on my feet through the park. I mean, that's thrilling for me. And I can get downtown here on the subway in 10 minutes to the theater district in 12. And that's my life, you know, those are the things I love. And I'm right across from the Whitney Museum, four blocks from the Metropolitan Museum. Those are in the park. And, you know, it's a walking city. And it's also a nice thing. It's noisy. It's challenging. And LA, for me, is my home. And it's sort of like, you know, to me, it's a small town. It's my small town home. And it's very different. Very different. And there are wonderful things about LA that I miss. You know, you miss your little patterns. And it's an easier pace and all that. But I'm like, I walk like Mussolini. So, you know, it's a different world for me here. I can walk 10 blocks in five minutes. And it's annoying to a lot of people. But, you know, it's a different energy level. So, you know. Yeah, I miss Los Angeles, New York. I miss them. Well, I actually am Pittsburgh. And Navell is from Jersey. So, we're kind of East Coast guys. You're East Coast. In September, wait, I'm making the move back up to New York. I briefly live there for three months. And I love it. So, I cannot wait to go back into New York and be a starving actor and all that stuff. And you got to do it once. I'm just dropping. Yeah. Seriously. I'm going with wherever you are. You have to go. And I've been, and I've been, I'm commuting between LA and New Jersey a lot. So, I'm going to be commuting there between now and November. So, I'm going to be, I'm going to be, I'm a busy beaver. So, LA, LA is not, I'm not leaving LA behind. So, it's good when you're, if you go there to work, you know, and you go back and forth. I think, I had, I'm very blessed to have both worlds, because I was on days. Every time I saw a five day break, what? I was on a plane to New York or to Europe or wherever I was going. And, you know, it's the best of both worlds. And they send me my scripts in Paris. I mean, I just was like, wow, this is a great life. I would love it. You know, I get my script while I was in Paris and I read it on the way back on the plane and come in, ready to shoot. This is just fabulous. So, it's both worlds, you know? Absolutely. I love it. So, we have to, we have to ask, what would you like to see Vivian do when she returns to Salem? What would you like to see Vivian do? Well, you know, it seems like the little I've seen a lot of people are wreaking havoc. So, I don't know what I can do to top that. You know, there's a lot of Vivian going on right now, I may say. So, I mean, you know, a lot of characters are doing those sort of things. So, I guess they're going to have to come up with something a little over the top, say the least. Because I don't know how I'm going to fit in or where I'm going to attack because I don't know quite what I have at stake. If you know, you have to have something that you need. And having come gone with $40 million in my butler, what could I possibly need? I don't know. I don't know. They must have something. Planned, I hope. Maybe she can open a school in Salem for future villains. Never know. Seriously. I think that's a great idea. No, cheers. I mean, if you think about it, you could totally teach all the little badasses in Salem how to do it because she knows how to. Yeah, because there's always this question of morality on these shows, which I guess goes out the window about -- I used to think that they were morality plays. But I guess that isn't the case anymore. You know, I get worried about things I was doing and say, "This is not moral." I'd say, "It's so true." See? Sorry. So, I don't know what -- it's going to have to be something of, you know, a problem. Something did, seriously. Because I don't know where I'm fitting. I'm sure there'll be some head-on with Kate. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. But we've had them before. We've had cat fights and all of that. Before it when it was Deborah there. Yes. That's right. No. And Lauren has -- God bless her -- has survived. I think I picked her. You know, when Deborah left, they did a, you know, series of tests with women. And Deborah -- I mean, excuse me. Lauren was the one that I thought was the best of them. She certainly has survived. Yes, she has. And looking good while doing it, seriously. What? I didn't look in the grade while surviving. Oh, yes. Everyone looks good. I mean, it seems like does anybody really ever age on soap opera? No, you're not supposed to. You're not supposed to. It's Dorian Gray. So, you're all as small as it's somewhere. [ Laughter ] Yeah, if at all possible, you do not age whatsoever. But it's funny to me, you know? I hope I don't look like I've certainly turned into somebody else when I go back. I don't think so. I don't think so. Well, they never said that. Listen, now you all -- are you okay? I could be 400 pounds by now. What do they know? I'm not. I'm not. It happens. [ Laughter ] Done. That is -- that is true. I think it would be very funny if I went in there in a fat suit and just said, you know, guys, I've gained a few, but I don't think anybody will notice. I don't think so. The camera adds on 10 pounds anyway. It does. It does. I know. But I just think it would be a funny thing to do. I think I have to do it. [ Laughter ] You should do it. I think what Vivian should do on her time back is somehow work with Stefano Demera. Oh, I say that happening because Kate's marrying him. Hmm. I think. Or is she married to him? I don't know. I hear. I think it's going to happen. So if you guys are spoiler free, then cover your ears. [ Laughter ] Oh. You heard that. Yes. I did hear about that. That's not -- that hasn't happened yet. Okay. Well, didn't I marry him once? Yes, you did. And then I married Victor. You married Victor. I know you married Victor. I think I married Stefano. And I can't remember. You -- I think you were impregnated with Kate and Victor. Oh, yeah. I stole that. I stole the embryo. Yes. Yeah. I remember that. And that was the elevator scene I had. I was carrying her baby. And then we -- she gave -- she was the midwife. And Yvonne Fainton. When the baby was born. [ Laughter ] It was pretty funny. You actually -- you got to work with one of my favorite actors, who we used yesterday, a good friend of mine. Denson Hackles. If you remember him, he played Will. No, he didn't. Eric. No, I was right there. Eric. He played Eric. Eric. Do you remember Jason? Eric Brady. In the '90s. Like a young guy. Yes. Yes. Yes. Eric Brady. Oh, I'm sure. Yes. Oh, wait. Yes, yes, yes. Jenson, you know, I just want to keep awesome to work with. Yeah. I wish -- wish you would come back the days. But you -- It was very sweet. Well, hold on a second. Go right ahead. If you guys are audience -- this is awesome. This is an awesome conversation. We are actually talking to Louis Sorell from Days of Our Lives. Hello. Hello. Yes. Yes, yes. Are there -- I'm just curious. Is this one where we go to talk to fans or -- Yeah. We actually -- are there any fans on there? You know, we have some -- you're in charge of the line. See if they know -- All my fans were -- all my fans are phone calls scared. So they asked all the questions in the chat room. They're phone calls scared? Yeah. Are you guys the one, guys? I don't know. I think they're like -- I think they're like nervous. It's like -- it's Louis Sorell. So everybody was asking me all the questions in the chat room and message board. So I pretty much was going back and forth. And Matt, like, always hears me. And Matt always hears me typing. So he's like, "I know you're typing." So I was -- I was typing back. And everybody is like, "Ask her this. Ask her that." I'm like, "Why don't you just call?" The number to call in, just to let you guys know, the number to call in is 646-595-4228. Call in. She's waiting for you. Seriously. Come on, guys. Boy, I must be scary. Now that she's put the hand out there for you guys to call in, now you should call in now. Don't be scared. Don't be frightened of her now. Don't be scared. Don't be frightened of her now. I mean, she played Vivian. She played -- she played a bitch. Can I say that? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Can I say that with all due reverend -- with all due reverend? I get it. Okay. She was -- she was a mischievous bitch. Okay. Let's say that. She was a mischievous bitch. Yes. So -- but she's not that in real life. So don't be intimidated. Well, I'm mischievous. But -- She's suspicious. I am mischievous. However, I am an animal activist, and politically -- well, maybe we shouldn't get into that. But anybody who loves animals the way I do is anything but Vivian. Yes. That is true. Yes. I will say I was scared of Vivian because, again, the first episode I watched was when Carly was buried alive or, like, the start of it when Vivian had the syringe in her hand. Yes. And Carly got injected. That was the very first days episode I ever watched. Oh, my God. And I was -- I was seven at the time. So, imagine me being seven years old watching that scene. You should not have been watching that. Shame on your mother. My baby sister watched it. My baby sister used to watch it, so she would probably proud that I'm talking to you. And her family would watch it. You remember, I was in those age around six or seven, and I was a CBS watcher. So, I was already off watching CBS, you know, while watching Dave. And I think we opened -- children should not watch soaps. I'll tell you that, right? No, they shouldn't. They're very scary. They all heard. I think we opened up the floodgates because now calls now came in. After we opened up that whole thing, I think we finally opened them up. So, let's take this other -- your caller that we got going on here. 2-1-2 area code. It's fella, New Yorker. How are you? Go on. Hi. Hi. Very good. Thank you. I'm glad that you brought up animals. Oh. Hi. I'm a big fan. I'm glad that you brought up animals because I wanted to tell you that I once had a fish that I named Ivan after the character that you played well with. Is this David? Is this -- is this block scene? No. No, he sounds just like a man. You really do. Just thank you. Well, I think so. If I ever speak to Ivan again, I'm going to tell him. I think that's very sweet. Yes, please, please do. Thank you. Was he from Prague to this fish? The fish? No, a Japanese fighting fish. Oh. That is -- Oh, that's perfect for Ivan. Since -- since I -- unfortunately. Oh, I'm sorry. Oh. I -- anything you guys just killed -- it just kills me. I can't bear any -- any living creature that you get injured. But if I were to replace the fish, I'll name it Vivian. Oh, so even if it's a boy? Uh, eventually. Wait a minute. That isn't -- wait a minute. That Vivian is actually a man's name. It's a British in Britain. There's a very famous director named Vivian Matalan. So it could be Vivian. I never do that. Yes. Vivian is an -- can be a man's name in England. Well, thank you. Thanks for calling New York. Thank you for the honor speaking with you. My pleasure. My pleasure. Oh, thank you. Who else do we have on? That's big ones. I swear he -- I swear he sounded like Bloxing. He really did. Dr. Bloxing. Dr. Bloxing. He was a huge day's of our lives fan and he started watching with the Carly being a burrito live too. So, you know, he was telling me that I should ask about Yvonne and I was like, "You missed it. We did." So as soon as I heard the voice, I was like, "That sounds so much like him." If that is him, I will -- I'm a little Vivian on him. You might have just been a little bit of punked from Dr. Bloxing. Yeah, he may not have wanted to. Oh, well, I think that's very sweet. That's the sort of thing I have. Somebody whose name is this fishy bawn. I just love it. All right. We got area code 503. 503, where are you calling from? Oregon. Oregon. Oh, they're having a heat wave. Oh, yes, we are. Oh, God. I heard it's awful. We're getting all the water and you're getting nothing. But it's going to go away soon, they tell us. I hope so. I read about it. It's horrible. Louise, I'm so excited that you're coming back. I loved you on Santa Barbara and Days of Our Lives. Thank you, sir. I'm just wondering, besides Brian, are there other people that you're really looking forward to working with, again, any special memories about your co-stars? I mean, I frankly have them about everybody there. You know, there were such nice people, John Aniston and Peggy McKay -- I don't know if I'm not sure if she's still there, actually. Allison Sweeney and Lauren and Brian and I think -- who else -- you know, I've lost a lot of the people that I worked with. There. Frankly, there are very few left that I worked with. Yeah. I'm hoping there's a lot of the crew. I loved the crew. I always miss the crew. And the directors that I -- you know, they're all, you know, old friends. Well, at least you still have Bull and Hope. I do. I -- you know, we never really worked much together, but they're both such sweet people. And I don't -- I didn't really work that much with them. But thank you. They're still there. You'll just have to practice Bull and Hope. Hope loves Bull. Yes, no, you heard that. Yeah. I wasn't going to say anything. I didn't know if you'd heard that. Oh, my God. If I get hold of Brian, I'm going to do that to him because it was just -- I have an opening above. Who's that? Oh, my little boy. Oh, my little boy. Oh. Oh, my little boy. But I promise, I won't have him watching you bury anybody alive. He won't be able to do that. Please. No, children shouldn't see that. Oh, God. Well, thank you for coming back. We're just thrilled. Oh, no, it's my pleasure. Thank you so much. Thank you for calling, Oregon, and hopefully it clears up for you guys. Yes, we'll send you our reign. Do that. We want you to have our reign. Seriously, make our reign. Please. Somebody -- We'll see you later. Have a good night. Take care. Bye. Oh, my goodness. Is there anybody else? We got a question from -- we got -- we got -- I wouldn't say a question. I would say a suggestion. Or maybe like a hinting from Gene in the chat room. And they are saying they heard that race could be in Alamein, who's played by Gail and Daring, and also from Tyler Bow wants to know if you, Louise, wants Vivian to have any children. If I want Vivian to have children, only if I can burp them up. I couldn't possibly give birth. Well, I did. I read you on the show, didn't I? But it wasn't right, so that doesn't count. That's true. I don't think Vivian should have children. I don't think she's a good example for a human being. I can see it. I can definitely see it. She can teach. She can teach. She can teach. Right from wrong from wrong. Wrong from wrong. I guess, yeah. Wrong. No, maybe she's actually probably a wonderful ferocious mother. That would be true. She's a good mother. I think when it gets into something that belongs to her, that she'd probably be ferocious and protective. Or she'd eat it, one of the two. Too funny. You're so funny. You're hilarious. You are hilarious. You are hilarious. You are hilarious. There you go. There you go. There you go. There's nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with that. I love it. I love it when people do that about themselves. I know. I know I am. That's not egotistical. That's just the truth that's coming out of my mouth. That's how I describe it. That's the only thing I would admit to. Exactly. I love it. You've heard Navell's laughter. I haven't commented on a couple of months. It's been a couple of months. I've said something about it. But Justin, you have a really good soap opera, like evil villain laughter. I swear. If he wasn't even, if he was a Stefano number two, he totally pulled off. Oh. Do you think so? I don't know. I got to hear it. I like to hear you laugh. If you have a good laugh, you have a good laugh. See? I like my laugh. That's a good laugh. It really is. Yeah. There's something he said about a really evil laugh. What's that? Not too many people have that. It's really killing. It's great. It is. I love it. I think I should spend in my resume and headshot today is right now. There you go. You never know. You never know. That's true. That is true. So, one other thing that I definitely want to ask you to do for us is a promo. I'd love for you to do a promo for our show. Okay. If you'd be so willing and honored. All right. The people in the chat room are like watching me do a puppy doll face while I'm asking you to do that. Do you have any specific specifics? You know, just say this is Louise Rell from Days of Our Lives and you're listening to Buzzworthy. Or you can put your spin on it or something like that. Whatever have you. It's totally up to you. But whenever I tell people to improvise, they get scared off by doing it. No, that's fine. I can do that. We're ready for you. Right now? Yeah. Okay. Hi. This is Louise Rell from Days of Our Lives. And any minute now I'll be terrifying you on your screen at NBC. But don't worry about it. I'm really not that evil. Anytime you want to call me, think twice. Thank you. That was awesome. I love that one. I want to play that on our next show. Okay. That is like our tagline now. Don't be scared. Don't be scared. She's not as evil. She's evil on TV. So, you know. Okay. Louise, thank you so much for calling the show. And like so much people said before, it wasn't honored to talk to you. So, thank you. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Hopefully you had a good time. I'll talk again soon. I had a great time. And stay warm or cool in New Jersey and Pittsburgh. We will. And have safe journeys back and forth to the coast. I will. I will. Thank you. Thank you so much. You're welcome. Great. See you later. Take care. See you later. Don't develop. I always, I always have to ask, are we still taking our vacation? Are we, what are we on next? I, we may be on next week with Christoph St. John. So, I have to talk to him once he gets back from Alabama, I think, is where he is right now with Daniel Goddard for a few days. Yeah. Yeah. He's in Alabama right now. So, as soon as he gets back to town, we're going to set that up. Daniel Goddard, if we do a show with Christoph, will Daniel Goddard call into the show again? I don't know that that's us to him now. It's a joke. It's a joke. That is updated now. So, we'll see. But yeah. So, we'll keep you posted. But thanks everybody from the chat room. Thanks to all the callers who call in. We'll, we'll see you guys hopefully next week. All right. Make sure you get the latest buzz with Buzzworthy. Nivelle, J. Lee, signing off. I have to head to work because if I don't, I'll be late. So, we'll see you guys next time. Take care. Peace out yo!
