Hey everybody and welcome to Buzzworthy Radio. I am your host, Novell J. Lee, coming at you right now on this Friday, May 8th, 2009. I can believe I can remember what exactly day it was. We're actually going to be bringing you a special presentation. We have a tape segment featuring the number one from Gail and No Deal, Claudia Jordan. And I'm coming at you right now at the beginning of the program before the show starts. You're in on a little programming note next week on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009, at 12 p.m. Eastern time, 9 a.m. Pacific time. We're going to be joined by Chuck Star, Joshua Gomez, so make sure you guys check out that next week. So I just wanted to give you a little update about that. But for all of you, here is the Claudia Jordan interview. And we are joined by this Claudia Jordan on the line right now. Hello Claudia, how are you? I'm good. How are you? I'm doing very well. Thank you so much for coming out today. Excuse my Raffy voice. I just woke up a little while ago. Oh my goodness. I thought you were sick. Yeah, I thought you were sick. I was like, oh no. I haven't been able to get a good night's sleep for a while, so running, running, running. Yeah, busy, busy. That's how it is, isn't it? I can't complain because some of it was from Las Vegas this weekend, and that was fun. Oh, see, there you go. Now you're the model, your model number one on the other no deal, and you actually were in this season of the celebrity apprentice. What was that like being on that show? I mean, I honestly cannot see myself doing something in front of Donald Trump, but that guy infuriates me. Really? Well, with me, we have a different relationship. We are really, he won that spot to get me on the show. He met me a few years ago, and on the set of deal and no deal, and found out about my real estate investments and how I pretty much took the money I made from modeling and bought homes with it. He was impressed, like my sense of humor, so he really fought to get me on the show. And it took two years, so I definitely feel like, you know, my view of him is different, you know, but I definitely can see why some people, you know, feel that way about him. You know, he doesn't really hold his tongue and he doesn't have to, I guess. But I had more of a problem with my cast mates because I got the show 12 hours before I had a, 24 hours before I had a leave. So everybody else had an advantage. They could prepare their Arolodex and tell people, hey, I'm going to be calling you. I'm going to need 10 grand or whatever, and I didn't have any of that. I just kind of went in blind. So. Oh, man. Yeah, that's definitely been in blind. I imagine it would be. I mean, you're going in less than a day. Right. And like I said, a lot of the people, my teammates, they definitely had advantage because, you know, they had weeks. They could study tape. I only saw one episode of the show before I got on the show. So I just had to kind of wing it. So it was, it was a hard experience, but I'm glad I did it. And the finale is this Sunday live. It is this Sunday, and as I am remembering my apprentice history, right, is this one, all of those who got fired go back on the last show? We all go back and down to the final two, which is Joan Rivers and Annie Duke and both who did not get along. So it should be a nice little show down. And I'm sure longer to say something. Oh, I know they didn't get along. Oh, my God. Who do I jump? You're rooting for Joan? No, I'm not actually anymore. I would have. She kind of just showed some really ugly parts of her personality on the show. And I kind of got turned off, but I really, really, really love a fan of Joan Rivers. I love grassy women that kind of just tell it how it is. And I definitely have respect for her. But then she just, I think she went a little far on the show. Yeah, she did, especially this past week. She went a little bit above and beyond the call of duty with what happened with her and her daughter on the show after Melissa got fired. It's kind of embarrassing. It's like, the whole, the last 15 years, everyone's saying that Melissa was pretty much just a plus one and doesn't really have a career to stand on on around without her mom and that these two are attached at the hip. And a bunch of other negative things. And this show could have been the perfect opportunity for them to show that they are independent of each other, that she, she does have her own thoughts and she can stand on her own two feet. And they blew it, you know, like that, that blow up was just embarrassing. And they could have really utilized that show as a great platform to show. I, I, you know, like my own woman and not a bratty little child. I'm, you know, I can do things without my mom. And, and they, they definitely didn't take advantage of it. Yeah, they did, they really didn't. And it was, it was really a shame. And like you said, embarrassing when that happened. It made for good. It made for good entertainment for some people, but it was embarrassing. And you got to look at it like this. The way I look at it is this, you can do really well on the show and be cutthroat and win the whole thing. But I don't think she's coming from an evil place. And she raised a lot of money. So I got to say she, she deserves it. There you go. That's exactly what I was about to ask you next. Like, did you get along with a lot of people there while you were there? And did you bump heads with people? And you pretty much answer that. I got along with, I got along with everybody. But then once I got fired, a couple girls would call me and text me and tell me, Claudia, I don't know why they're talking bad about you once you're more here. You know, like there's a lot of like, you know, and I'm on the women's team. And women tend to be caddy and back daddy and, you know, that's just how it is. But the longer you, you know, the more episode then you get to, people get exposed for their character flaws and their motives and agendas. And you can kind of see it for themselves. But I thought I got along with a lot of the girls on the show. And I heard one of them was this, I don't know, it's just, I look at it as this. It's a TV show. Something you say you may exaggerate your position to get some camera time and prefer to be entertaining. But you can't take it so seriously. I mean, maybe between Melissa, Joan and Annie, because it got really, really ugly. I mean, I know Joan calls Annie Hitler and all kinds of things. And Joan called Brandy White Trash, which is really not necessary. I'm not true. You know, but some of the things that I was around, it wasn't even that bad yet. And some people just, there's a lot of bratty celebrities. How about that? Yeah, that's it. And I think the ones that don't really earn it by any kind of hard work or putting in years and actually building up a resume and kind of get it by default, sometimes tend to be the biggest brat and the biggest kind of feeling of entitlement. Yeah. You get the nail on the head with that when I completely agree with that. And not only were you on the celebrity apprentice, you also was judged on the miss USA pageant. My God, I cannot even believe it's still. I mean, people around here are still talking about this. Where are you? I'm in Jersey. Well, you know, I've been getting calls lately yesterday. I did Inside Edition. Today I'm doing showbiz tonight on CNN, headline news. It's the beauty queen that won't go away. It's just when you think it's died down, it comes back. You know, one good thing that, one positive that came out of this is people are talking about equal rights and, you know, exactly what does marriage mean and all these things. It brought the discussion back to the table. But one thing I don't like is the hostility from both sides. You know, like the name calling and, you know, I don't think Miss California should be vilified for her views. You know, if you agree, you agree if you don't, you don't. But I just feel like it's something that we just need to revisit. You know, and it's funny when, you know, with women, well, people, when you take a really conservative position and you have to really be careful about some of the things that you've done in your life because people are topping at the bit to make a hypocrite out of you. And they're going to find if you've gotten questionable pictures out there or you've got some dirt, it's going to come out. So before you could, like, like John Edwards, you know, you want to take this, you know, he wasn't holding them down, but this good guy image and then we find out you may have a love child or, you know, Miss California, you're so conservative, but yet you've got pictures in your panties with your boobies out. So you've got to really take into consideration some of the things that may be in your closet before you want to point fingers and take this position because you look like a fool at the table. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And it's just absolutely amazing that people are so quick to judge and that that bad person that is judging Miss California probably has done the same thing, if not even worse. It's ridiculous. It's really ridiculous. I mean, me, I've always been the type of person where before I knew conservative, liberal, Democrat, Republican, before that was even in my vocabulary of the young person, I never really cared what the next person was doing as long as it wasn't harming me. You know what I mean? Like, if two people want to get married, same sex, they won't have abortion, whatever they want to do, that's their life. It does not affect me. So the sooner people can grasp that, the quicker we can just move forward and not have these debates. You know, that's just my personal opinion, you know, but again, Miss California, I mean, she's got to be a little humiliated today because you talking about being so biblically correct and then it comes out that you have implants and I thought the body's supposed to be your temple and then also your posing top list and then now she thinks she was 17 or underage, which is it. I don't believe that for one second, by the way, but it's just, I don't know. You can't side step that as soon as that admission comes out. Now you're going to go back and sit you were 17. What does that mean? Right, that mean that makes it even worse. So you should know that. That makes it worse. That does make it worse. Yeah, come on. Now when I was 17, I mean, I was just starting to really put makeup on. You wouldn't catch me in panties and my boobs out. You still won't catch me like that. But the thing is, if you know you've got things that may be questionable in your past, it's fine. We're all human beings and we all have things that, you know, we maybe have done that. We're not proud of. You just can't be on a soapbox. You can say something like, you know, hey, we all make mistakes, but I personally don't agree with same-sex marriage. But, you know, but when you act like you put up this perfect image, you kind of set yourself up to be embarrassed because someone's done a dig. With the age of the internet, you kind of can't get away with anything anymore. Right, exactly. It's out there and you're putting it out there. And, you know, if you don't want to put out there, don't go out there on television. Don't put yourself out there in the public eye because if you do that, they're just pretty much going to go after you. I do a lot of comedy. I work with Jamie Foxx in his radio show and I have my own show. We're very edgy. And I would never portray the image of being holy in the vial perfect because I know I've set a bunch of crazy things on the radio and, you know, I've been a model. I mean, I don't have any topples, pictures out there, but some sexy pictures, I'm sure. But, you know, the best way to avoid it blowing up in your face is to never sit there and say, "Well, I would never do that," or, you know, look down on someone else. Right. Because that's just going to make them question you more if you do that, just by saying hello. You can find something on you. Absolutely. Absolutely. So, besides the radio show and everything, what else do you have going on with you that people can have you look out for? Lots of scripts coming my way. I think I've read like six already since Apprentice. It's been amazing in talking with Extra and some other shows about working for them. And I have a really big show coming up that I'm doing that I can't say yet because it hasn't been, I haven't signed the contract yet, but it's humongous. And when it comes out, I definitely want to come back and talk to you about it. I would love to have you back and talk to you about that. That sounds very interesting, very interesting. You're like leaving me on pins and needles to find out exactly what is it. I wish I could say, but I can't say it right now. Can you say if it's a reality show or not? Not a reality show. What is a show that will be seen around the world that I will be, that I'm going to host? Okay. All right. I got you. That's a major hint. I got you. I got you. All right. We'll leave it at that. We'll leave it at that. So when it officially comes down, you're coming back on the show. Absolutely. Love to. Love to have you back when that comes down. Claudia Jordan, make sure you see her. The season finale of Gladley Apprentice this Sunday on NBC. It's at what time? And eight o'clock, eight to eleven, three hours special. So I'm sure they'll be playing lots of unseen footage. And maybe they'll probably dig up some photos. I mean, some video of us talking about each other. Who knows? I'm sure there'll be plenty of prizes. Oh, I'm sure he'll be like humiliated like this, California. Not that high regard. Not that high regard, but somewhat, you know? It's going to be interesting. So looking forward to seeing everybody. I'm sure it's going to be interesting to see how Melissa Rivers is around me and Joan. Because I read a bunch of stuff that they said about me. You know, I'm just going to continue the way I was on the show. Keep it classy. But if she starts them, I'll finish it. There you go. You could be like the next Omarosa if you want to. Let's go. Just a little bit. Nice. [LAUGHTER] Omarosa is definitely bigger. Omarosa was what? She's definitely been great to me. Like she has this reputation being such a bitch. But to me, she's been so awesome. And she's definitely carved out a niche where you'll never forget Omarosa. She's the most famous apprentice cast member ever. Oh, yes. Oh, yeah. We love her. We love her. Yes. She knows how to work it. She does. Yeah. She does know how to work it. Thank you so much again. All right. Have a good one. You too. Take care. Bye.
