We're going to show you a new video. We're going to show you a new video. I think Facebook was popular three years ago. We had my space popular. It's in turn Twitter has been popular too. You know, I'm amazed to say that it's what happened just by yesterday alone. I'm sure that we've gone out of time. But, you know, yesterday alone it was down to the wire. It's the whole thing. You know, you're going to follow them on Twitter. It's absolutely crazy. I mean, I don't even know how long it's been around. But, you know, it's all about technology, huh? That's what I would look at. It's very true. What happens to the audio? Yeah, I think it's almost back. I have a question on the page. As far as I know, the audio is fine. I'm actually having some issues. I don't know if I'm having issues, but it's kind of hard to hear you. But, that's what happens, you know. It happens. It's hard to hear me. Am I very sane or am I very sane? Very sane. Very sane. I got, you know? Do you mind when I guess it has to be charged a little bit? I guess it has to be out of my USB port today? Okay, well, you know what, it sounds a lot better now, I can tell you that. I did put the USB port back in. And then when I first started using it, after I connected it, everybody said I was sane. So, you know, I'm just trying to see if it's coming in all right now. You're selling good right now. Okay. Okay, good. That's all I needed to know. Exactly. All right. Let's, I believe this is our guest here. Hello? Yes. Hi. How are you? Hi. Is this Nevin? Yes. Is this Nevin? Is it Nevin? Yeah. Yeah. Hi. Hey, look through the show. Oh, we're on the air right now. We are. How cool is that? It's live radio. Harvey. Thank you. What's up, guys? Nothing's up. We're just enjoying the day out here. It says 70 degrees here on the East Coast. Oh, wow. You finally peeled off the winter jacket. I know what that's like. Oh, oh, don't rub it. The first day. Don't rub it in over there. I was in LA for like a, like a week and a half. I know, I know, I know, but. No, I grew up in Jersey. So I know where. Yeah. Are you? Yeah, I'm serious. Do I love it? I love it. That's where I live at, though. I love it. That's awesome. Yeah. So what do I have to say? We have to say like, I actually am checking out your show. I was in a gym yesterday and I totally saw. I was walking on treadmill. Harper's Island was on and after watching last night's episode, I am completely addicted to it. It's a good show. Isn't it good? It gets so much better too. These first couple episodes are not nearly as good as what comes. I have to say, it's sort of like a combination for people who haven't seen it. It's sort of like Friday the 13th meets Laude. Yeah, I would more go along the lines of like a murder mystery, like a big game of clue. You know, Agatha Christie, you know, 10 little Indians, that kind of thing. That is true. But you know, with people getting their head cut off and then burnt alive. No, I know. I was like, I can't believe CBS is actually showing this. Like that's what, you know? Well, the thing is they do worse things on CSI and everything that we've done. I think CSI's already done it. That is true. But it's just in the context of, you know, we're actually killing people on our show. We're killing people on their show too. But I think they share the aftermath more, right? That is true. So how did the role on Harper's Island have about for you? How did the role come about? Yeah. Well, I auditioned for it. That's usually how it works for actors. That is usually how it works. But it was pretty funny. Like my audition was, I am actually auditioning for Abby, Abby's role, Elaine Cassidy's role. And obviously I wasn't particularly right for it. And we, you know, me and the producers, we were all laughing during my audition. I did the whole audition like this. I started talking like this. And they're like, "She's crazy. Let's have her on our show." So, yeah, it was pretty funny. Well, I have to know how much fun has it been to shoot for the show. It looks like just an after the stream, which is a lot of physical stuff going on, but just a lot of fun. Um, the cast is rad. All the people that work on the show were amazing. The only thing that was really frustrating is that you never know when you're going to die with stuff. So every week, you know, you get a script. You could be your swan song, you know. You're like, "You could be dead." So, you know, we were very well behaved. You know, please don't, you know, no divas were on our show because you never know. The producers be like, "All right, Mr. Cool Pants. You're done next week." And we had one of our producers, Karim. He was the great reaper. So, if you knew he, if you saw him walking your way, actors would just, like, scatter. Because he would, like, flavor the news of your death. And, or he'd call and be like, "I don't want to talk to you. I got to go by." That is so funny. I like that. Yeah. I like that. Now, one of the things I got asked is, as soon as everybody heard that you were coming to do the show today, everybody wanted to know about Point Pleasant. When you did-- Oh, yeah. Yeah, I did. We have a huge fan following for Point Pleasant. And we all want to know, like, how was doing that show? I mean, it was very, in my opinion, I thought Point Pleasant was underrated. I thought it was a great show. Yeah. It was the last longer than it should have. It was a good show. I think if it was on a different network, like a CW or, at the time, WB, I think it would have lasted a lot longer. I feel like Fox had such-- Fox was pretty brutal. You know, if you don't deliver right away-- and we had pretty good numbers. But, I mean, we had, like, you know, six million, eight million viewers. And that would have been amazing for, like, a CW or something like that. But Fox was just like, "You're done, dude." But honestly, I was kind of happy. My character was not really that interesting for me to play. She was kind of like the-- the-- I don't know if you could say bitch on the radio. Yes, you can. We've had people say a lot worse than the radio, so. Oh, okay. Yeah, she wasn't-- she wasn't that much fun for me to play. I got to tell you. So I was kind of happy when that-- that cycle was over. Okay. Moving on. But it was funny because I grew up in Jersey and it's Point Pleasant. And everyone from home was like, "Oh my gosh, you didn't show up on Point Pleasant." I did say I actually-- I was kind of-- you're literally hating for saying this. But I'm a writer and an actor as well. And one of the shows that I've created and Mel knows about this is a show called Point Palace. So I had all these people when the TV show came out, Point Pleasant were saying, "They copy your idea. They steal your show. What are you talking about?" No. So I was like, kind of crossing my fingers hoping that there's, you know, hope for another point show out there. So I don't know. Oh my gosh. I'm sure you can put it out there. I'm pretty sure people forgot about it. That was a Josh Vergenchil, correct? Who? What? Marty, you got-- Yeah. I'm totally like, you know-- Oh, Josh. Yeah. I don't think so. No. I don't think so. No. Then I written some of you online. He did like, love me and stuff like that. Yeah. Yeah. I think one of his predecessors did the show. One of his predecessors did the show. It wasn't Josh himself, by the way. Yeah. There you go. There you go. Yeah. That's basically what it was there. So yeah. You were right, Matt, but not fully. Yeah, you know. I was close, but it was nice to go. That's right. You're also going to be in the sequel of the album in the Chipmunks movie. Is that correct? I am not. You're not? No, it's not so sad. Jason Lee decided not to be in it this time around. And that didn't make sense for my character to be in it. Right. We're really fighting. We're really fighting for me, but it just didn't make sense. Like, oh, why is the girlfriend there? And he's not there. You know? Right. Right. So it was a little bit of a bummer, but I mean, it's not the end of all of my career. But I loved, I loved, I loved the Chipmunks movie. They were so cute. I had the cutest fan groups from like all those little kids following you around, like with googly eyes. Sometimes when I'm in the grocery store, kid will lock eyes with me. And I'm like, he's like, he knows. I'm like, all right, I'm going to wink at him. I wink at him. He's like, oh, yeah, that's her. Little kids are so cute. They're funny. How is it? Hopefully, hopefully all those little kids, you know, will watch Harper's Island. So there you go. I hope not. It's too scary for them. Either they'll have nightmares for the rest of their lives. Just kidding. Just kidding. I was like doing the first Alvin in the Chipmunks movie. You had to work with a lot of green screens on that movie or? Actually, not really. We just had like these little stuffed animals, stuff like squirrels or stuffed chipmunks. And they would place them where the chipmunks were supposed to be. And then they'd pull them away. And then you kind of guess, you'd guesstimate where their eyes would be. You know, they're little personalities. So it had to be a lot of imagination. Yeah. You just use your imagination. I mean, it's not brain surgery. You can kind of figure it out. You know, lots of times when you're acting, if your eyeliner has to be close to the camera, they put like a little piece of tape there. They do? Yeah. And so you act sometimes to a piece of tape anyway to the other fellow actor. It can't directly be behind you or look at you. So it's kind of along the same lines. I've been doing that for years. So it's not that hard. Very nice. So I wonder if you could say you grew up in Jersey. Where did you go for school or for acting? I didn't. Oh, really? Yeah. Actually, I modeled for about two years right after high school. I was like, I'm going to Manhattan. I'm out of here. And then, yeah. And then I left New Jersey and went to Manhattan. I modeled for about two years and then I was on a modeling job in L.A. and someone sent me a script from a modeling agency. They're like, oh, can you go in on this? I'm like, all right. I don't really know how to act. And then I ended up getting the part. And that was for a show called Cover Me, which ironically, Katie Cassidy on my show, is David Cassidy's daughter. And Sean Cassidy produced my first show. Insane. Yeah. So I've known her family for a really long time. And when we were up there filming, Sean would come in and hang out with his two family members, me and Katie. Yeah. And it was like, Sean will be like, you better watch out for Katie. Make sure she's okay. She's a little younger, you know. I'm like, I got her, Sean. I got her. Isn't it funny how that worked out, though? You have, you have like no school and everything and all of a sudden, you just go right into team, into New York or L.A. and get the first thing right off the line. No one is saying, I think, I feel like ignorance is bliss. I mean, because afterwards, it took me a while to get the ball rolling again. I was like, I didn't really actually, I knew how to act, you know, when I was on, on screen and be on set and set etiquette and all that good stuff. But I didn't really know how to get a job. I didn't know how to audition. And I still don't really. That's really hard, isn't it? It's a really, it's a technique in itself and it's, yeah, I'm going to do it. It's such a, yeah. It's like, how do you make something, it's, you know, talking about the, you know, pretending that the chipmunks are there. Auditions is like, pretending that everything's there, you know? And it's, I really, it took me a really long time to figure it out, like about two years. So, it wasn't easy after covering me. You sort of get the comment, you're like, I know what to do. No, it's so frustrating to be like, I know how to be on set. I know how to do this. I know how to act and then, but the audition, you know, you don't account your nerves. It's going in a group of people just staring at you and it's like the least creative place to be ever, you know? Great. Yeah. Unless you're supportive and I haven't really been in those situations. You know, everyone wants you to do well. So, this is clear. You have like just one person just like watching you and then, and then that's it, you know, and it's, that's great. So, it's more than just one person and something could be a whole room of people's and suits just staring at you. Have you ever tested for a TV show? Yes. Do you know how, you know, you know how horrifying that is? Oh my God. And we actually, we're in our class right now where we were going over auditions for, I guess they were showing us like auditions. One of the auditions was actually Sam Yeager from You Guys Don't. Yeah, I know him, but yeah, it's the whole like, I can't believe how casting directors do it because they see the same thing. And they know within the first 10 seconds, if you are right or if you're not, it's just, it's so frustrating. I don't know how they do it as a casting director. Oh, you are casting director. No, no, no, no, no. Wait, I'm confused. Okay, we were in my acting class and we were totally learning how to audition, we were going over auditions, and I just don't know how, you know, a casting director does it because- Can sit there all day? Yes, they sit there all day and they see the same thing and just, yeah, how do they do it? I don't know. Well, you know what? They get paid. They get paid. No, and then it's always that one person that comes in that just makes it okay, and I'm a true believer in like what part you're supposed to get, you're going to get if you're prepared, you know? And often be organic and you can't force it, just let it be, you know? That is definitely true. And speaking of being paid, I actually have to get back to my job so you two have a lot of fun, and for all you people listening out there, make sure to check Harper's Island out, seriously. I'm at the great show. I think it's so much better. So it was nice to meet you, and Navell, I'll see you guys later. Have a good tea guy after everybody out there. Have fun, you too. Bye. Bye. Bye.
