Buzzworthy. Buzz. Now. Adam Pereira is joining us on the line, ladies and gentlemen. Adam, how are you? How are you, pal? I'm doing good, man. How's yourself? I'm doing very well. This is on the the rescue me tour. It's going great. Our next stop is Dallas. We'll be at the Nokia Theater in Dallas. Nice. That's great. Congratulations, man. So you have been playing the role of Chief Needle Nelson on the ethics original series rescue me for quite some time now. And how did you book that part? First of all, I mean, I read that your mom is happy you're playing a fireman. So that's good. Yeah. Well, she actually got the gig Dennis Leary's friend. I did another show with him called the job. We played detectives. And he called me up and said, "Listen, this is part of this young fire chief. Do you want to play that?" And I went, television? No, that would be bad. I don't want to do that. So I went in and he gave me a great role. So the nice thing about playing this guy is he'll give you just some background on the characters. After 9/11, there was nobody left. You know, he was in command because most of the guys died. So my character got promoted long before he should have been. So he's in like an authority position, but he doesn't know how to do that. He doesn't know she'd be their friends, should he just come and crack down on him? So it's basically him finding how to lead these guys. Right. Yeah, so it's pretty cool. I mean, a lot of it, well, when I get the stuff to do, the nice thing about rescue me is one day you show up and you're doing high drama the next day, it's full down funny. So it's a lot of fun to work on that show. And it premieres tonight. Night actually is in a club. There you go. There you go. Look at that. Plug whore. So I have to add, does comedy come naturally to you? That's what? Does comedy come naturally to you? I mean, I have to say, it's just freaking funny. Oh, well, thank you. It's, you know, it's a lot like, it's very logical to me. And then I get a lot of comics say, you know, I got laughs and I liked it. And so I just learned how to do it. And I think we're really like, comics really aren't qualified to do anything else. You know, it's really not like, why do you go with the comedy? Well, it was either this or medicine, you know, pretty much all we can do. That's right. That's right. Did you, did you always wanted to do comedy when you grew up or is it something that just came to you naturally? And just like, yeah, I just, I can't tell you that I sat down and go, I want to be a comic. It's like, I think once I did it, I knew that's what I wanted to do. I know I liked it. I know I like stand-up comedy. And I saw Richard Pryor, the kind of art. When I was a kid, and it was like, one of those things, we went to a party that your parents brings you to, you know, like when you get the warning in the car, your mother turns around and goes, no, don't embarrass us. Your father does business with these people. Yes. I know they were watching. Yeah, you see, you got to be on your best behavior like, oh man, I hope you kids aren't dorks, you know. So all the adults went in and watched Richard Pryor. And then they left for coffee. And I snuck in and turned it on. And I was like, just blown away. I remember I was 12 years old. I didn't understand a lot of it. But I was just so amazed, like, look what this guy can do. And that definitely registered with me. And then I went on about my, my real life turns out, you know, the kids were dorked and I hit them and it was a problem. So after that was over, I always wanted to try it. And when I got out of college, I tried it. And I realized, look, I don't know how long it's going to last, but I really want to do this. So it's been a phase for about 20 years now. Wow. How did the rescue me comedy tour start? Was that your idea? Was it Dennis's idea? No, I know Dennis's idea. He knew he had to go out and do press for the premiere of the show. And, you know, the press tours can be kind of taxing. You know, you answer the same question over and over again. And he said, you know what, I'm on the show, Lenny Clark, Adam Ferrara, we can do stand-up. We'll get the band, call his band, and we'll put a bunch of cities together. And that's how we'll promote the show. And it's been great. And we're on, we're in LA now. We go to Dallas. We played video sitting musical where we actually showed the premiere episode. And then we did the score with the band, and it was really, really great. So it's like, I think we're the only show that can do it, because there's so many stand-ups on the show. It's a great idea. And it's really going well. That's the uniqueness of rescue me. Like you just said, you know, you have a lot of stand-up comedians on the show. I mean, you and Dennis they're included. And, you know, that's why it works. And, you know, the band response must be absolutely amazing, I'm sure. It's great. It really is great. I mean, it's really just to see the people that come out, and as soon as you hit the first two chords on a theme song, because we have a live band, the place goes nuts. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So you're going to Dallas next. You've got Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, three days in Florida. I think Clearwater, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale. And we wrap it up in Philadelphia. Philadelphia. Oh, wow, right by my hometown. I should check you guys out. That's great. Where are you from, Philly? Well, I am in Jersey. You're Philly is like 40 minutes away from me. I love Philadelphia. Philadelphia is the only place that goes from historical to dangerous in three blocks. See, I wasn't going to say that, but, you know, I wasn't going to say that, but, you know, you're right. It is. It's like historical Philly, and then all of a sudden it goes up. Look, I'm in gun territory. Yeah. I was walking out. And the Libby Bell received it back in '17. I cut you, bitch. It helped me just get too far. The wrong way. I love it because it's so true. I love it. That's why you won't catch me in Philly anytime soon. Well, not in that part of Philly. You'll catch me in the better part of Philadelphia, where it's like Libby Bell in the historical center. You won't catch me going further than that, because if you do, I'll be running in the other direction and screaming like a little girl. Yeah, I was like, I'm going to be staying. If I'm in Philadelphia, I'm in the Dan Acroid trading places part of Philadelphia. That's right. You know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you're born and raised in New York, right? Yeah. Long Island. Long Island. You still, you're still a New Yorker besides the term of New York. Actually, I live, I live in the Manhattan now, the big bad city according to my mother. Really? Big bad in Manhattan? Oh, it's great. It's, I like living there. Compared to Philly, it's not big bad. Well, yeah, I just put, but, you know, there's a lot of room, you know, in Manhattan. So I'm in Frank has more room than I do. I haven't been in New York for like over 10 years now. And, you know, I've loved Manhattan ever since I've been there. So, you know, there's a lot to do in Manhattan, even if it's small. I prefer the West Coast compared to New York, though. I'll say that. I love LA life. Hello, LA right now. We did the Nokia Theater, which was a lot of fun. It's big, too. I mean, I didn't, I didn't realize it was that big. So it was really, we went, the band kicked in and everything just, everything just took off and it was a great, great show. Now, I just found this out as well. I just found this out, I'm sorry to cut you off. I just found this out today that you have a DVD coming out next week. Yeah, DVD coming out of the Comedy Central Special Air. June 12th, it's called Funniest Health. And it's an hour of stand-up we did in New York, as a matter of fact, at Gerald Lynch Theater, we taped it. And it was a lot of fun to do. And it's, I'm pretty proud of it. So June 12th, if you're around, watch that. Okay. Was it just you? Who else was involved in it? Yes, thank you so much. It was still here. Oh, wow. Definitely we'll check that out. Absolutely. So we're looking for that. So it comes on Comedy Central June 12th. Comedy Central June 12th, and you can get the DVD right after that. Right after that. Great. I'll be looking forward to it, man. And hopefully everybody's going to be checking you out over in Dallas. And where can they find out more information about you if they want to look you up? If they want you to go to adforara.com, or you can go to Adam Ferrara at MySpace. And the tour dates are up there. There's some clips from the Rescue Me Promo stuff that's up there. There's a cartoon I did. You can send me a message. Let me know how you like the show. And then Rescue Me premieres tonight at 10 o'clock on FX. Great. Absolutely. I'll be. I'm going to give you guys a ring when the DVD comes out. Oh, that would be awesome, man. I would love to get one of those things. I'm a huge standard comedy boss. I love my fairies. Can't live without it. That's the main, that's like the main premise of my existence. That's it. That's it. Thanks to you. Thanks so much for coming out. Have fun in Dallas, man. Thank you, brother.
