God told you radio! Come get you live! It is Buzzworthy Radio but you can get the latest buzz on all your favorite shows inside Buzzworthy Now! G'day guys, it's Daniel Goddard from Young and the Rosepile and this is my Australian accent It's Buzzworthy Radio and it is a fantastic place to be and exactly right, hey what is up everybody? I am your host Matthew Preston and you are tuned in to Buzzworthy Radio Today right now it is 4 p.m. each and anytime, 1 p.m. Just sit next time on Blog Talk Radio and as you know we will be joined with Young and the Restless Star She used to be the golden beautiful star It's never she came on there so last time she was but now she's online, back online It's Eileen Davidson and she will be promoting her new book Death of Daytime We get to hear more about that So if you want to get in on all this one As you guys know, if you're new to Blog Talk Radio and if you're maybe new to our show there are so many ways you can do it like one and that's an important one Call into the show, if you want to ask her just a question, call in The number here is 646-595-4228 or go to the chat room That's pretty much the second one So if you're on a computer right now and maybe you don't want to call in maybe you don't want to have your voice on radio I say it all the time, I hate my voice, I don't want you on the radio Then we can definitely call in So you can definitely do the chat room instead of calling in but yeah, we will be joined very shortly but my co-host, Nivel Joly and as well as our supposed to guest, Eileen Davidson I do see that we do have a call Let's bring them on, hello Cola, you're on the air with Buzzworthy Radio Oh, I cut your head Eileen, David, turn on Well, we will and she will be calling in very shortly So how does it sound? I will definitely hold you on the line until she comes on, okay? Thank you so much Hey, no problem So, as I was saying earlier, this is not Eileen Davidson's first time calling into our show If you guys tuned in to last year's show She was, in fact, on the full review which I'm pretty sure came right across the hall from the end of the rest So, it wasn't really much of a switch to go from Los Angeles to Generalist City From Generalist City to Los Angeles Now she's back from Los Angeles to Generalist City Is it confusing now? Not at all I already noticed she's definitely back A lot of people are saying, none of the fans say that she's definitely back That's where she's with, where, you know, the place That's where she is meant to be So with, yeah, and also Another way you guys, I just totally got, you know, hit with a realization There's another way you can email us And ask us a question if you want at buzzworthyradio@gmail.com So there's like three distinct ways you can get in on all of this fun Just like we did, we had a call The calls are already lining up to talk to our guests So that's a pretty cool, pretty cool thing And it is Tuesday, today, it kind of feels like a Monday I don't know why, but, you know, I definitely know that Monday, yesterday was Monday But what is, what's everybody's typically weekend? How was it weekend? Because the last time we talked to you guys, it was Friday Whenever we had another young in the rest of the store It was kind of one that you guys already know, Eric Braden Yeah, the new Victor Newman actually came and talked to Buzzworthyradio How cool that we were definitely, well, and I were definitely stoked to be talking to him So if you want to hear the interview, it is up and running on the website You can just go log on to our website already if you, there's two websites I love how there's so many different ways you can listen to Buzzworthyradio But the two ways you can actually listen to that interview If you log on to blogtalkradio.com/buzzworthyradio Go to the archive mode, because that's definitely where it is Or log on to www.buzzworthyradio.net So there are so many ways for you to get involved with the show, how cool is that? You can also hear maybe you missed a show and maybe you missed your favorite star And you want to talk to them, yeah, so there's a different way you can do it Or if you want to hear a show, just go to the archive It's the internet, you know? And of course, the internet is loving me right now because my switchboard and my computer screen is freezing up, love it, that's what AOL does for you Let's see, I'm trying to get it back on So I know that probably the calls are just like pouring in right now So you guys are going to hang tight with me because Pretty much, you know, there we go, there we go, AOL has just popped back up You guys are lucky, there it is You know, I always say I am the death of technology Or maybe technology will be the death of me, I don't know Maybe I should, yeah, all I know is I'm getting rid of AOL very soon So if you guys do have AOL, I will get rid of it, we just got Comcast I always thought that Comcast was sort of a local company But it's not, it's actually a, I guess it's a national company So we went with their services, they have a really, really fast internet connection And it was sort of as easy as it looks It is easy, but it's not easy for me because it just seems like if I catch a keyboard I just want to get myself on, so all you friends, all my friends out there If I don't have your number texted to me, if you have myself a number No, I'm not going to get it on the air, but I will give this number again To the show, if you want to call in and talk to our guests Or if you just want to say hi and talk to us, you can The number here is 646-59-542-28 The number again, 646-595-4228 So yeah, there's just so many ways you can get involved with all this fun There we go, AOL just loves to play games with me Let's try to get my screen back up This is what happens whenever I have to run the switchboard My computer freaks out and it's like overload, overload Keep where I am, you can be left and right And yeah, in blog talk radio it does not like me There we go, and I do see that we do have My co-host is with me right now, let's bring him on I'm pretty sure he has somebody special with him Nicole J. Lee, hello, how are you? Oh my gosh, wow, hi, how are you? I'm doing okay, I'm trying to get the technology to work for me But hey, it's working for me now, so I'm excited Okay, hopefully she is able to hear me, I think I brought her with me Eileen, can you hear me? Hold on Eileen, can you hear me? All right, there we go, technology was not our best friend at the moment But we got you here, how are you my dear? I'm good, how are you doing? We're doing very well, thanks for coming back to the show, it's great to have you back Thanks so much, I appreciate that A lot of stuff has happened since we last talked You got the book out, that's in daytime, you're back on the young and the rest list It's just, it's a never ending story, it's just, it's fantastic That's what's going on with you now It's been really busy Tell us a little bit about the book, that's in daytime Gosh, you know, I'm in the middle of writing my third right now, so let me think about that That's in daytime, it's the first in a series of so far for a mystery series What my publisher is calling it, and it involves the lead character, the heroine is an actress on a soap by the name of Alexis Peterson Oh, okay Single mother, at that time I think she was a three year old girl And she lives in Venice Beach, California And the head writer on her show is killed with an Emmy And she is basically thought of as the first in prime suspects So the book is basically about her trying to clear her name And she also has a love of forensics So she kind of gets herself in all these situations that she has to get out of But she's kind of addicted to trying to solve these crimes herself Nice I read the part about the, with her being killed by the Emmy I read that part, I thought that was most comical But yet satirical part of the book I've ever read in my life It was very interesting how that, or ironic Yeah, I know, well you know, you just, I don't know what to say about that I just kind of, you know, I don't know how to kind of came to me, I don't know where from But the second book is called Dial Emmy for Murder, it's coming out June 2nd And it's a murder that takes place backstage at the Emmy's Pretty cool So how long did it take you to come up with a concept to write the Death and Day Time book? Was it something that came to you overnight or was it something that was years in the making? Certainly not years in the making, I didn't even know I had a book deal until shortly before we were writing I have a writing partner Okay I just, you know, I don't know, I can't really even figure it out Like I said, I'm writing the third one, and I don't even know how the, they're all my concepts Because my writing partner doesn't know anything about acting or the soap world He's actually a western writer, so he's also a prolific mystery writer But now he doesn't have anything to do with my world I don't know, it just kind of happens The second book, I was on vacation in Hawaii over Christmas a year ago And literally we were driving on the north shore of Oahu And I said to my husband and the kids, I said I've got the second book It just, it just all came together for me And this one, the third book takes place, the murder takes place at the Playboy Mansion And I think, I think I was at the Playboy Mansion at the Halloween party this last year, I think And it came to me, that would be a great setting for a murder and a mystery So, I don't know, it just kind of comes, thank God They make the best books though, so when they just come to you right at the moment, they make the best novels Yes, I'm still trying to figure out who the killer is though, and in this third book I don't know, we've just begun writing it without really knowing what we're going to go with it Mmm, that sounds so interesting, and I really have to know with all of this mystery writing Are you maybe going to write for daytime if you had the opportunity? You know, I have thought about it, that's a very good question actually I was just at the drug store and I saw Martha Byrne, the cover of a magazine And I had actually thought about it, I asked somebody last year, I was in the commissary work And I said, you know, what's up with that, that sounds like that could be interesting So, I'm too busy right now, I've got my hands full, but, you know, you never know That's true, that's very true, and speaking of being busy, you're very busy On the young and restless right now, you just did some amazing, looking fears On the young and restless right now, looking very, very fierce, and that means you're looking gorgeous as ever on the show Did some fantastic scenes with the Brad's General and what's coming up, from what I hear, it's going to be amazing Is there anything that you can tell us what's coming up with you on 1R? I don't know what I can tell you, have you guys cleared any of this with CVS publicity? The only thing I cleared with them is basically what we got to look forward to as far as what happens after Victor crashes the funeral There's a little bit of that stuff, not too much Something big's coming up and obviously I can't say a word about it So, hurry! I have to say, I'm a huge fan, like I'm the person at Christmas time who likes to not know what he's getting So, I think it's best if we don't get spoiled, thank you, I thank you for that You're welcome You're also married too, I just actually found this out, I cannot believe I did not know this but you're married to Dan Patton and Ian, he does the poker, the World Series poker tour I had no idea that that was your husband, that is amazing I like the guy, very, very huge than it is and he also comes from a very, very well-and-out father figure The big fan, if I'm not mistaken, from ages enough, and how is your little Jesse doing? My son? Yes He's doing awesome, he's great, he's going to be six pretty soon, he's just getting really big My step is going to be 16 pretty soon, so we're going through the whole driver's net thing which is so frightening, but it's like really, really super scary, it's all I can say Nothing, he's a bad driver, but just the whole concept of throwing him out there on the freeways is freaking us all out But, you know, they're all just growing up, they're all doing great, and everything's great Would you like to see your kids following your footsteps as well as his footsteps? Oh gosh, you know, Jesse kind of seems like he might be leaning that way just because, I don't know, he seems to have a personality for it I would never encourage them until they're a little older, and if it was something they wanted to do There's a saying, you know, unless they can drive themselves to their own audition Yeah They're like going anywhere near it, but I really don't know, I really, I just don't, I think I'm old enough and I've learned enough to, I just won't say I just don't know, if something happened to come his way and he just loved to do it and he wasn't 16 or 18 or whatever I don't know if I'd say you can't do it, it just really depends on the individual circumstance Right, exactly Of course, and we actually do an advanced question Oh, go ahead Yeah, what did you say? What did you say? I said, whatever you were going to say, I told them to cut you off there, what were you going to say? Oh, just that, there's a lot of rejection, and so emotionally it's just hard for, it's a hard business for an adult to handle You know, I don't know if I would ever want to thrust that on a little kid, but who else? It is very stressful, but here's something that isn't stressful, we do have a fan question from you, all the way from Brandon Brandon wanted to be here on the show, but he could not, so he actually emailed us a question and it's all about Paul Ross, and he actually said that he, first he was a huge fan of yours and he wants to know, since you worked with him before on Santa Barbara What kind of producer is he these days, and has he emailed over the years, and what changes have he brought to the show either visual or otherwise? Well, that's a really super good question. I've gotten the impression that Paul has called in when shows are either in transition or whatever, like at that point it was Santa Barbara Paul seems to be a grounding force because there's been so much turmoil and tumult going around He's a very grounding energy, he's also trying to get things in under budget So he's trying to keep the integrity of the show in place and the production values in place but also keep it under budget, which is such a difficult thing, it's really, really difficult So according to what I've heard last week, our ratings actually went up, which is the fourth one up It was a ball feed at day and age, this is a huge accomplishment So, you know, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with Maria, obviously, but also probably Paul because he's not dealing too much with the creative stuff in terms of the writing and whatever but he's trying to kind of combine all things and handle all things, you know, it's a lot of balls he's got in the air Exactly, and it's like he said before, you know, with everything keeping in budget, you know, especially what's going on now I know you heard about it, I know everybody's talking about it with the budget cuts and people taking pay cuts, you know, it's a lot to sink in and a lot to grab because, you know, you never know who you're going to be losing right now but it's like, you know, whatever it can be done to save a show, keep it on the air It's a very difficult thing If I were in that position, I wouldn't know what to do and these people know how to do it better than I can so, you know, I commend them for that, for being able to work with what they've got to work with So, it's pretty amazing what they can accomplish and I just look at that and I just go It blows my mind, let's basically put it that way, it blows my mind, what they can do Yeah, it's true And we talked a little bit about this in the last show that you had did and we brought, we made mention of it, your clothing line I think I have it right, terminology, yeah I've kind of shelved that because of the economy right now I've heard nightmare stories of people canceling hundreds and thousands of dollars of closed orders and that kind of freaked me out Yeah Because I'm back on the show and the books are kind of taken off I've had too much on my plate to really try to focus on it like I would have felt like it deserves So, it's still there, I've still got the designs up and running but I kind of shelved it until the economy settles down a little bit and I see what's happening You're going to do it though, it's a very good way to do it especially now so, definitely a good idea and I know we probably took up a lot of your time and I'm pretty sure there are some fans out there who want to get in on the action Do we have any callers up there? We do actually and I'm going to bring on the first person who we had waiting before I brought the morning earlier So, hello caller, you were back on the air with Buzzworthy Radio and special guest Eileen Davis and hello Hi, how are you guys doing? Good, how are you doing? Good, hi Eileen, this is Frank from Boston I'm not sure if you remember How are you? I'm really good Good I was at the Bold and Beautiful event, I was the person from Boston who brought the gift You know, the hats and stuff Right, right, right, I'm not sure Well, it's so good to talk to you and I look forward to seeing you Hopefully if you'll be there, you know, at the luncheon this August Oh, my family will be, is this a Y&R one, probably not a C? Yeah, yeah, yeah I just wanted to thank you once again as always, you know, I've watched the show for 30 years and I've followed you and thank you just great and I love you and you brought me many years of entertainment and I'm really grateful for that Thank you I want to ask you, how old did you say your little boy was six? He's five Oh, five, yeah, yeah, I remember I was wondering, what hobbies do you have? I was thinking of bringing you something out in August and I really didn't know what kind of things you might like Oh, I don't have too many hobbies right now, my hobbies seem to be my means of making a living at this point Basically, I'm writing more than I'm doing anything else these days Pretty cool, well, hey, thank you so much for calling all the way from Boston We give another call, it was pretty much We're going to edit code 512, you're on the air with Buzzworthy Radio, hello Hi, guys Hey, what's going on? Hi Hi, there Hello Did we lose them? Did we lose them? It happens, okay, well, 512, if you can, possibly try calling back and we'll try doing stuff on So, I actually was doing research on a entity, and Eileen, I found out that you were in a very, maybe like a cult movie When you started out in the 80s, not really, you got to take security in the business By then, it was called House on Sorority Road, do you remember that movie? Of course I do, that was like one of my first jobs That's pretty cool because I just actually wanted to tell you that they're doing, they actually already filmed a remake of it They're doing a remake of it? They already did a remake, it was actually filmed in my hometown, so I was fortunate to work on it They did a remake of House on Sorority Road I'm sorry The cult sorority road has a bunch of like, it's a really cool cast, the director is really awesome to work with So, I thought of you the whole time I was on set, I'm like, this is so cool I'm like, this is... It's hilarious, who's the director? Um, Stuart, oh my gosh, Stuart, I want to say Chandler, possibly, but I can't think of Stuart something, I know that But, it's all 9vv, so I saw that and I thought of you Oh, that is too funny Well, thanks for letting me know No problem And also, I would have done a cameo in it There you go I do know if they actually had on, who played Princess Leia, her name was Terry Fisher, Terry Fisher actually Oh, really? Yeah, it's one of the big names in it, but I think that he probably would have been the bigger name, so Wow You know? And you didn't tell me that either Oh, I thought I did You know what? I have to say, this time time, it's becoming the whole capital remake of the world, so it's like It's no surprise what movie that we're showing next, with all the other world we made Wow, it's no funny, it's hilarious It really is Plus, something I was going back to some topics about why and are You actually got to film in Paris, correct? Yeah, we did That was when I first came back, I was in Paris for a week there, yeah What was that like? What was the experience doing? It was a lot of hard work, I was working every day in pretty long hours, but it was really gorgeous I mean, it just makes you feel like you're doing something of epic proportions when you're shooting out in front of Notre Dame It's seven o'clock in the morning, you know? It was pretty amazing The French people were incredible Exactly I would love to go out there one day and it just seemed like it was like a different It was a different atmosphere, rather fresh air, basically You could just see it in all the scenes that were played out over there And we were actually talking with Eric last week in regards to that and yourself And it was just, he had great things to say about what you guys were out over there in Paris Yeah, it was awesome Very, very much Would you like to go back over there and do it again? Sure, of course, I mean, I would love to go someplace else too, like Australia or something Why not? Did you do that, because I know when, with the boys and beautiful, they always would do the location shot Yeah, I didn't do it with them, no You didn't? Okay I did not, I was only there for a year though, so maybe that's a year and a half, however long it was Okay How long was that to meet from Los Angeles, general city? Just like what? Across the hall, right? Oh, yeah, how to cross the hall? Very convenient Now no, this is also a fan question, I don't know if he's actually on the line, but if he is, I'm sorry, I'm about to ask it This actually came from Mason, and he had, he's a huge fan of yours, he's actually, has been a fan of yours since You played the role of Kristin on Days, and he has followed you ever since then And one of the questions he actually had for you was that there have been rumors like circulating online, and it's like, in talks about Deidra Hall coming to the Young and Restless How would you feel if you got the chance to work with her alongside on the Young and Restless instead of Days? Oh, I feel great about it, I would think that would be terrific, I haven't heard those rumors, but I think wasn't it, Ginny Francis was coming to our show last year? Yeah, there was that too Maybe Susan Luci is coming next year, I don't know, but we'll all find out together, I would have no problem with that, I think it would be great Well actually, a little trivia you guys, Deidra Hall was originally on the Young and Restless, way back in the 70s, she actually started in the pilot episode Oh, you're kidding? Yeah, it's on you too, I have to check it on you too I have all the info, don't you? That's right, you do, that's what the end is best for, you know? So we do actually have another call online, hopefully maybe it is Mason, I don't know, let's bring back Area Code 512, you go back on the air, hello Hi guys, it's me again, sorry about my phone, I'm good, Eileen, I wanted to let you know that I read your book and I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to the next one Thanks so much, it's actually better I think than the first one, we're starting to get into a groove now, so it's a lot of fun And I have to add a question for you, what do you think of Maria Bell and Hogan Sheffers work on Y&R? I think they've been doing a really good job of kind of bringing it back to what Bill would have done, you know, keeping it different, but it has a similar flavor as it used to have in its glory days, I think Right, and I'm actually a new fan of Young and Restless, and I'm really enjoying it right now, so when did you start watching? Back in November, actually when New Eileen just came back and it was in Paris Oh wow, well welcome, I hope you stay for a while Oh I am, I'm really enjoying it Cool, good to hear, we're getting some new fans Maybe that's why the ratings are going up, well hey thank you so much Well thank you so much for calling, and we actually, hey we gotta go back to the chat room, it's just full I love how the people in the chat room totally have their own little party going on Some of the people in the chat room are saying that they would love to first see you as a head writer of either Young and Restless or Bold and Beautiful And they're also saying that, yeah, they're also saying that you and Don Diamont worked so well together and that they're going to miss him and you together Oh thanks, I miss him a lot too, I just talked to him the other day, he's doing really great though That's good, he's doing just great, after the initial shot kind of wore off, he's doing great Yeah, he's doing very well, I saw him like two weeks ago actually, and we talked about that, and he's doing very very well I miss him too, out there in the chat room, who I can't see, I miss him too There's just so many people in the chat room, I can't even, they're all hoping that Dee Dee goes to Bold and Beautiful, so I don't know Sam, who knows, I don't know, I haven't heard anything about that, but you know, it sounds like it could happen, right? Exactly, never say never in the business anymore, that's what I've learned Exactly, well Eileen, thank you so much for coming on, and where can you find your work? Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, or physically in borders, Barnes & Noble, you know, any bookstore, or online? Yeah, just Google it, or most any bookstores should have a border, Barnes & Noble Alright, look forward to the next one It's in the paperback, it's out in paperback Oh good, oh good, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one Thank you so much you guys Thanks so much, come back again I will definitely, I'll be talking to you after the second one Take care now Bye Oh, we'll see you later, boys, if you do come back, you'll be the third person, and you'll be the fourth, actually you'll hold the title For the most appearances on Buzzworthy Radio, so far you're like you're in an eight-way tie Okay, alright, I'll be there Oh, well, welcome to Daley, thank you so much for coming My pleasure, bye you guys Bye bye Bye bye Okay, so, as I always, Eileen Davidson, on the Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS, week nights on soap, net, and we're going to be back on again tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern time With Big Brother 10 winner Dan Giefling, he will be joining us tonight at 10 p.m. I believe we're also going to be having another show this week on Friday with Beth Chamberlain You are not there for her, but first time she was on her I'm excited, wait, what time is it on Friday?
