Friday the 13th remake, which is set to appear theaters on Friday the 13th of February 2009, and that's definitely kind of freaky. But, let's bring on our wonderfully established co-host here at the mix, Buzzworthy Radio, Buzzworthy, Matthew Preston, what's going on, man? Well, there comes the talk about, first off, I have to say, I'm very thankful for the Steelers making it to the Super Bowl, Go Steelers. Oh, man, let me tell you guys, I'm an Eagles fan, first and foremost, I have to tell you, I am an Eagles fan, most of my friends know this, and I was disappointed that it didn't make it, but I have to say, I am a Kurt Warner fan, so I actually was not that disappointed to see Kurt Warner make it to the Super Bowl. I'm sure I make it to the Super Bowl for the third time. Well, yeah, well, he made it to the Super Bowl when he was on the ramp, and now this is the first time with the Cardinals making it to the Super Bowl. Well, I'm just saying, definitely Go Steelers, and also my buddy Valentine, I just want to say, how in the hell does a movie about a fat actor portraying a mall cop, how was that number one in the box office? That's well, crap, but my buddy Valentine did do quite well. It actually doubled what the movie was made for, and in anything, in any movie that's actually a really good thing. So, MV3D definitely kicked butt in the box office, but I mean, I'm still confused on how the heck did some stupid mall cop movie, and if you did work on a movie, I apologize. Yeah, I mean, so many parts coming at you in 3D versus a fat ass and a mall. I don't get it, people. I don't get it. Well, I don't think the people who worked on that movie are even bothering me to do this show. We will actually have somebody from the movie on, and if we do, I will ask them that same exact question. They can answer it for me. Yeah, you would. That's what doesn't surprise me. Oh, my gosh. But, see, I didn't know it was number one in the box office until just now, so as soon as you just said that, I'm like, I really like that movie. They're going to get me wrong. Don't get me wrong. I like Kevin James. I like Kevin James. Yeah, yeah. I like King and Queen. So, if I want to see Kevin James, I'm just going to watch the King and Queen's rerun, not the fat security. I'm sorry if anybody's out there from offending anybody with my fat comments, but that is one of these portraying. That is where the character is supposed to be portrayed as. I'm just establishing a character trait, but I'm saying the whole movie itself. In the words of Joan Rivers, "Can we talk?" Seriously. My place on time. Yeah. That's just not your opinion. Do you really mean that, right? Honestly, yeah. I mean, I think even if I wasn't, because I'm a big horror fan, so I'm really excited to have this next guest on so we can talk to him about Friday at 13-3, because I'm a big fan of Friday at 13-3, and I was also a big fan of my... Well, I wasn't a big fan of MBV until I actually got hired for it, but yeah, it's just... I don't know. I don't get it. I don't know. But I'm thankful that the viewers are in the super full. That's a big thing. It's a big thing in our town, because now everyone's going crazy. You know, you should have seen that the bars were packed last night, and I wasn't out. Thank God. But the bars are packed, and everybody's having a good time, I'll say. Acting like the true Pittsburgh spirit fan. So, goop, it's great. Oh, yeah. I mean, I have to say that even with here. Everybody is completely and utterly my God. Eagles is like... Well, you know about... I would so say about the Eagles, even if they were to have gone to the Super Bowl and the Steelers didn't, I think I still would have been happy, because it still would have been a Pennsylvania team. This is true. I think it would have been interesting, though, because two Pennsylvania teams would get to tell her how to... That would be fun, too. That would be fun. And I think that would have been even more fun if I was in my college, because, you know, Penn State is in the center of Pittsburgh. Yeah, probably. And Philadelphia. So, we definitely... I remember my sophomore year. We had some Philly... some people from Philly who actually lived in my house that I lived in. And, yeah, there were some interesting football nights, I'll say. I like that here. I mean, all you can do is just get drunk and just... that's it. You know, you can't do more. Yeah, basically. You know, it was... I'm trying to think of the perfect word to describe the game yesterday. It was definitely a moot point. I guess I guess I could use that. I mean, I don't know what else to use. But it was good that we saw them get as far as they did for the Eagles, getting into the NSE, even though that they had a very, very, very bad... seasons in the beginning. And we didn't even think they were going to get this far as they did, and they wound up making it. And it was a good game. First of all, I didn't even think that the Eagles were going to come back like they did. Even though they still lost by some point, I still did not think they were going to even come back to picking the lead by this one point having to be 25 to 24. I mean, that was impressive. So, you know, I had to get the major props for that, but they were able to come back like that. And it was definitely something... I guess we closed with it. You know, I mean, I didn't really get my hopes up that they were going to get any farther than the NSE championships. I mean, I was just taking it one step at a time, you know, because every time I think the Eagles already get past it and they're going to get do the Super Bowl and they're going to win them, my hopes get dashed. So, I don't even, I don't even think that way anymore. So, that's just how it is now. So, you know, I'm happy. I'm happy to Cardinal's got it, and I'm happy that Steelers got it too. So, it's going to be a good game. I think it's going to be a good game. Cool. I totally agree. I can't wait to be frightened. It's in two weeks, right? It's a week from this coming from there, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah, I have to work that day. No fun. You're always working. So, one of those are the fun. I know, but, you know, it's Super Bowl Sunday. This is different. This is like a true national holiday. Yeah, that's true. At least I only worked till six. That's true. I don't know. Maybe some people should make Super Bowl a holiday. Super Bowl Sunday official holiday. It kind of is like an unofficial holiday, so I don't know. You should get paid for it on the holiday if you worked it. Okay. I'm just paying. That's a good question. So, you should get paid because you're hungover in your work. Yeah, man. Yeah. You know what? That's like a Monday. That's like in every day. You know what? Oh, don't even start. Two funny. I'm allowed to dream. Yeah, I guess. I guess we're all allowed to dream. And, uh, my goodness. My trip is about to come up soon. Yes, I'm matching it again, you guys. I can't stop talking about it. Um, now only because now it's only like, what? Three days away. And, uh, I'm going to be flying out to Florida Thursday morning to attend the second voyage of sub-cruise. So, you guys are going to be able to see what's going to be happening there, um, this year. On the new ship that we're going on, it's called 70th Century Cruise Line. And you're going to get a glimpse of what all the events are at this, um, at this second voyage. And it's hosted by Cameron Madison again. So, if you want to know if I'm going to ask you about the dongue issue, I am. Don't worry. That's, uh, that's the million dollar question of the hour. Even though Melissa Claire even said it on the show, I'm just saying. I'm sure he's so sick of hearing about that. I'm just, I'm sure. He got a lot of publicity about it though. I have to. Yes. It did not work. I wonder how the ratings, if it helped the ratings for the show. I don't know. Maybe it did. Oh, yeah. Only people are going to watch now just to see him, if he actually does work on or something. I don't know. Maybe. Oh, that, it's actually, I turned, I turned, tuned in today. Um, it was something about Carl Nicole. Okay. Call the Edgar Phillips character of Joss, correct? Joss? Yes. Oh, but they believe he was stabbed, correct? He was shocked. Shocked? Oh, he was shocked by Crazy Annie, right? He was shocked by Zack. Okay. I have no idea who that is, but, okay. Zack is Kendall's husband. Oh, okay. Uh, he used to be on "Four Charles." I know you're talking about that. Yes. Okay. Good. The show looks like it's been shaping up. So, I'm thinking the value might drive the talk for a couple of minutes now. I already handled it, so I'm so happy. Oh, okay. Well, excuse me, Mr. I got it under control, I guess. I'm starting to pick up on something, so, you know. Mm-hmm. I've been learning. I've been learning. I see how it goes. But, yeah, it's definitely, uh, it's definitely been picking up, you know. And here's a little trivia for you. I don't know if you were aware of this or not, but did you know that all my children might have been canceled? Really? If they didn't shape up, if they didn't shape up, it was going to be shipped out. So, yeah, it was going to... I think, you know, they can't cancel. I mean, you know, everyone keeps thinking GL is going to cancel, and Darius is going to get canceled. It's, I don't know. It's very disturbing to hear that, because it's just like, why? Why would you, well, the format's been going on for how many years now, and you're going to cancel it? If you cancel it, it's just going to come back in some sort of fashion. How is that possible, though? How is that possible? Yes. Um, yeah, easy. It's like, look at the prime time soap venue. It was gone for a couple of years, now it's back. We have an 18-format, you know, we've got an 18-format with all the CW shows and Desperate Housewives definitely brought it back. Um, yeah, what else? I mean, I think to any genre that, if it runs out of its course, it always comes back in some sort of way. I, yeah, I do agree with that. It was like that, you know, let's look at it this way. You know, comedies at sitcoms, you know, were huge, huge things in the '70s, and they started dying down once the '80s hit. I mean, we had some comedies in the '80s, but it wasn't, like, the biggest thing to watch. In the '80s, it was nothing but drama. And once the Cosby Show came on, then all of a sudden sitcoms made their way back into the center of television. And I do agree with that. It'll come back in any way, shape, or form. But do I think that daytime soap operas will come back and be a staple on television again? I doubt it. Only because... But if it's not fixed, if it's not fixed, don't break it. If it's not fixed, don't fix it. That's what I was trying to say. If it needs fixed, then fix it, obviously, do something to save it. So, yeah, it's disturbing to hear that. Next topic, moving on. Here's the thing. We're not. You said that, which is, which I agree with. But then you had to think about it. What if it's too little, too late? I mean, look, you're in the soap business, per se. You hear things about what's going on with the soap that are on the air. And you look at "Godding Light." You were just talking about "Godding Light" just a few minutes ago. I mean, you know, you're hearing this, and it's basically everywhere now, non-stop incessant, that if "Godding Light" doesn't keep up in one period average, then they won't live past 2009. And, you know, they try to fix it up now and try to regain what will there is left of "Godding Light." Do you think that the damage can be repaired, even though it's not late in the game? You know? Yeah, I just -- I don't know. It's a depressing subject. It's really really good for depressing when I look at the ratings, and it always has been. Oh, well. Next talk. Let's talk about something happier. Happy. Happy. What's happy? The only thing I'm happy about is that Barack Obama gets inaugurated. Oh, yeah. Oh, let's talk about happy times. Oh, man. Yeah. I know. I know you're not happy. No, that's not. That's not true. I am happy about a few things where I'm happy about is that, hopefully, we do see some sort of change from what it was, from what this few passed. I'm going to take a while, though. All I'm going to say is this, though. All I'm going to say is, where were the Democrats in 2000? With Clinton, everything was on top of the game. America wasn't on top of the game. Aside from the fact that he got whatever from Monica Williams. I'm not going to go into detail because we all know about that. That's not an appropriate thing. Yeah, it's not an appropriate thing to say. But it's not about business. In my opinion, that's not about business. Does that affect what he does in his private time and his big room affect how our country was run? It was run perfectly and fine. Then we had a perfect candidate with Al Gore. Look what Al Gore has done aside from nothing in office and already having some sort of political experience as a vice president. Why? It just boggles my mind whenever, in 2000, where were these? Where were the Democrats? I'm a Democrat. But where were the Democrats in 2000? Where? I just, wow. I'm speechless on that one because we were there. Well, I wasn't old enough to vote, obviously, but you know what I mean. 2004? We were there. We were there in 2000. We were there. But obviously, you know, you were up watching it. I assumed because I was and all of those got recounted in Florida and, you know, that just happened. And the only reason why I believe that Bush was nominated for a second term was because of 9/11. If 9/11 hadn't happened, then he probably would have been out of the door. But again, that's another thing. Oh, my God, there's a saying. If a war happens, then a president will get re-elected. I forget what the saying is, but yeah, I do believe that. You know what? I'm happy for Democrats. I'm a hardcore Democrat. So I'm just going to see what broadcast to bring to the table. I think that if any politician, not just him, Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Clinton, Palin, McCain, I think that all politicians will lie to win. I'm interested to see what promises he keeps and what promises he changes. Because the whole change he's talking about maybe, that's what I'm talking about. But I'm very excited for the Democrats to finally have control back. And hopefully he brings it back to where Clinton had brought it to. That's what I'm hoping. So it's another year of Bush. That's what we're just unhappy about. The thing is, is that he might be able to do that, but that's going to take time. You know what I mean? If you know, it's not going to get done overnight, obviously. Bush did a lot of things to ruin this economy. And there's no way that Obama is going to be able to fix things like with the snap of his fingers. It's going to take time. It's going to take a lot of effort. And honestly, part of me feels like he has no idea what he just got himself into, which is what I'm worried about the most. He has no idea what he's involved in this long haul. And he has no idea what people are going to say, what they're going to do. I mean, everybody is right now saying Obama's got to do something. What exactly is it that he needs to do? I mean, you say he needs to do something. What is the something? Obviously, you're playing a little devil's advocate here, good for you. I will say that. I think, in my opinion, honestly, it's an easy one to fix the economy. That should be the first thing. Look at our economy. Because people who do not have jobs out there, you should feel privileged and lucky that you do have a job, that you are working. And you're working after college, correct? Me? Yes. Yes. Yeah, you're working after college. Which, I mean, like, 17 percent, I don't know the statistics. I'm not going to get some statistics. But a lot of kids, RH, are not working because of what happened. So, obviously, get jobs. If you stick with the economy and if you fix it, that's how I feel. But I will do say this. There's not a lot of jobs out there. You know, there's not a lot of jobs out there now. But then fix it. Do something about that. You're president. You have the power to do that. You're the most powerful man in the world. Fix it. Oh, you know what? I'll be just going to have a political debate. Is our guest, I just want to know. Is our guest coming on because we're going to have a political debate? It looks like we're just going to have the political debate. It's fine. Let's bring it. Bring it on. Look, he cannot do this in just one day. I mean, if he could, he would. I honestly think he would. What? He could. I mean, I'm serious. I mean, he's a politician. He is a politician. He is a politician. He's got any politician for that matter. In history, even if he couldn't see your mail, anyone will lie or not lie. Anyone will say what they can to win. And I believe that's in the candidate who doesn't have any experience did that. And I will also say this. The reason why he is our president is what the hell? He is the one that has no experience. How does everyone is saying that about the guy? Because you need to look at his record. Look at how long he's been in Congress. Look at how long he's been what he's done. Look at how he's voted for compared to who he was running against. So you're saying that McCain had a better shot of probably doing this than him? You know what? Yes, I would say that. As a leader, as a leader, as a leader, I believe me in his more experience. Because I've seen his record. Look at where he's been in the war. He's looking at how old, you know what? Old? Fine. I don't want to bring agent. Obviously, we're going to bring agent in there. Please, let's get out of it. Do you need any of it? Oh, he has the economy? Yeah, I do. I believe he's so much better. Okay, here's the thing. I do go into the gray area with Republicans and the economy. That, to me, is an issue that, yeah, I started with Democrats on that. So I do side with Obama on the economy on that. But because I don't like the way the Republicans will handle the economy. But I will say this, and I have said this before, is the only reason why Obama is in office is because of the liberal media, which he insulted, and he still won. And I don't like it. I mean, I'm a big fan of controversy, but I think that Ann Coulter is borderline controversial and is definitely trying to sell books. But she was on today's show recently, and I listened to her, and I watched. This is not, I'm not making this up, people. Ann Coulter said and quoted that Sarah Palin was questioned on, I'm sorry, Obama was questioned, how would his family feel if he were to be elected? That's what the liberal media was asking. But then Sarah Palin was asked, how, what is the, what is the, you know, what would not do any theory? What is the capital of this? What is the, she was horrible, but it's not fair, obviously, in the media's way, so many people. I used to have so much respect for the media, but not now, not after. The only channel that was, that was four, that was actually non-biased, which was surprising, was Fox News. What? You're kidding. No, I'm not kidding. It's just, because every other channel was Obama, it's a pro-Obama. It's just, it's, it's, it's, I don't know, that's, that's how I feel. And I just, I really have to see, hopefully he's a good leader, hopefully, because I have not seen any leader qualities. And everyone's saying that he's a wonderful speaker. He's all, he's a great, he's used to Nivelle. I know you said this before, I'm going to quote Nivelle. He's a powerful, powerful speaker, really? So a powerful speaker, he says, um, uh, I, um, that's a powerful speech. Is that someone who has powerful words? Uh, no. But maybe, maybe I'm still, I'm still better. You know what? I want that. I'm still better about Clinton. I would rather, I, I, it's just, if you, if you really want to say, oh, we've accepted or we've grown past, or we've accepted, why not have an African-American gay female as president? Because that borderlines every, everything that we've never had in the past. And that's acceptance right there. You're really great. I am. All right, if that's something, if we have that, if we have it, I would vote for that in the heartbeat. But we don't. We have, we have another male. I will say it's very historic to see. I, I think, I think it's great that, um, we have, we are breaking that one bridge. Of an African-American getting into. Yeah. People voted for him just for historical value. Rather than professionalism. I believe so. I will do that. I, I do believe so. I mean, I think that if it would have been, it's, it's the same way had Hillary Clinton won. Or had, had Hillary Clinton, yeah, had Hillary Clinton won. People would have voted for her because she would have been the first female president. This was a historical, obviously this was supposed to be historical election. And that's the way the media wanted it. And that's the way the media got it. Here's how I see it. I just want to say, I will say, I, I will say one more thing. I just want to say one more thing. Had it been, um, who, who else was running, I forget who else was running for the Democrats at the moment. But had it not been Clinton? Had it not been Obama? Would we have cared? No. And that's the thing I was about to bring up myself is because let's look at it this way. Had Obama not run. And Hillary was in the race running against her and McCain. Who do you think they were going to vote for? Hillary, because she was a woman. Yeah. That alone, they're just going to vote for historical value. Taking out of the fact there's an active American running. You know, leave that out there. There's no African American running at all. They're going to vote for Hillary because of historical value. Not because of what she can do for the U.S. today, but because of history. That's how I think it is. I think they're going to be in this historical value. Me, it's borderline. I think it can do things with this. I also think he was going to first vote for value. And this would come from a guy who voted for Obama. Yes, I did vote for him. But that's just how I feel. I think it's just historical value no more than a less. Obviously, thank you. I think that's really noble with you to say that. That's how I feel. I do want to see Clinton win because I think that it will turn for a first female president because he already had how many male presidents? That's how I feel. If you want to go for historical, the way that historical had a different gender. But I am happy that it's a different race. At least it's something different. And I will give him that. You know, at least it's something that we can look forward to. I don't like the way he also comes off as very cocky and arrogant. The way the media, again, this is all because the media, you can blame the media because they make him into this celebrity. As McCain, I do have to agree with McCain on it, he was this celebrity. And if that's the case, then hell, we should have just elected Paris. We should have elected Paris Hilton. Why not? She's a celebrity, right? She's a female. If you want to call her then, all right. There's something we do agree on. That's how I feel. It's just that arrogance does not bode well with our country, especially if it's going to go into what's going on and into the other parts of the world. Especially the current war that's going on, arrogance does not play well. It does not bode well. And it just, it makes us as Americans, arrogant. I'm talking about arrogance. That's what I'm saying. I'm watching my words here. That's the thing. But I'm also happy that we actually have two young daughters. We've never had that. We had Jenna Bush and the Bush twins, but they're not young. They're obviously women. And I think that's pretty cool too. I want to see what these two little girls bring to the table as well. And yeah. That's all I think that I think that it is time for a change. And I am looking forward to seeing what's going to happen, but I'm not holding my breath. Some sort of 50/50. That's my last point. That's all I'm going to say. I'm at a loss for words. I, you know, hopefully within the next four, if not eight years, we see some good come out of this. You know, that's all I'm hoping for. You know, that's all I've ever wanted. I want the guys to come home. Get out of there. Get out of there. Exactly. So, hey, I guess that we're going to have to reschedule for, I guess, and turn into a little political debate, which we haven't had in a while. So, hopefully you guys enjoyed it.
