Are you a law firm owner who is new to being a business owner? In this episode of the Maximum Lawyer podcast, Jim and Tyson are joined by Shannon Pawley, who shares her transition from a national law firm to owning her own estate and asset protection firm.

Shannon provides some insight into owning a firm and what prospective law firm owners need to do to achieve success. Patience is key to achieving any form of success. As firm owners, success is not going to come right away, especially if you are doing something new for the first time. Shannon shares her patience with marketing. Marketing to a consumer is not easy and takes time to get right and garner results. But, taking the time to learn and master something like marketing will only make you a better business owner.

It is important to be proactive when it comes to preparing for when business is not doing well. There will be slow months as a business owner. It is important to not accept those months as slow and become active in addressing how to supplement your income during that time. Make sure to think ahead and plan to ensure things are always moving along.
